Abstract:Based on examination of myxomycete specimens collected mainly in 1999 from the southern and tropical part of Yunnan province of China, 46 species of Myxomycetes were identified and reported in this paper. Among them, 14 species were new to this province.

Abstract:Yunnan is one of the regions with highly abundant biodiversity in China.According to taxonomic studying,reexamining specimens and textual research,134 species and 10 varieties of Myxomycetes from Yunnan were noted in this paper.They belong to 6 orders 10 families 33 genera.Among them,27 species are new records to Yunnan province.Stemonitis uvifera T.Macbr.is new to China.

Abstract:Thirty six species and one variety of myxomycetes are reported from Qinghai Province, China. Diderma roanense is new to China and it was briefly described and discussed. Nineteen species are new to Qinghai, including Cribraria ferruginea, Cribraria oregana, Dictydium cancellation, Dictydiaethalium plumbeum, Tubifera ferruginosa, Calomyxa metallica, Trichia persimilis, Trichia varia, Badhamia foliicola, Craterium leucocephalum, Diderma radiatum, Didymium minus, Fuligo septica, Physarum tenerum, Physarum viride, Comatricha laxa, Stemonaria longa, Stemonitis fusca and Stemonitopsis typhina. The results supplement the data for diversity of myxomycete species distributing in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau as well as high-altitude mountains of China.

Abstract:68 species and 2 varieties of Myxomycetes from Gansu province were noted after the investigation of their resources,specimens reexamination and taxonomic study.They belong respectively to 5 orders 7 families 27 genus.Among them,Craterium paraguayenese(Speg.) G.Lister,Diderma cinereum Morgan,Diderma montanum(Meyl.) Meyl.and Physarum bitectum G.Lister are new to China(marked with two asterisks) and other 48 species are new to Gansu(marked with one asterisk).The specimens cited are mostly deposited in the Herbarium Mycologicum Institute Microbiologici Academiae Sinica(HMAS).

Abstract:Thirty-one species of myxomycetes from middle and south Yunnan are reported. Among them, Physarum nucleatum is first reported in China, 19 species are first reported in Yunnan,China. Habitats and distributions are recorded for the 31 species. The specimens examined were deposited in the Herbarium of Mycology, Jilin Agricultural University (HMJAU).

Abstract:Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, which strides over the tropic of Cancer, is one of those regions with highly abundant biodiversity in our country, but only 19 species of Myxomycetes from Guangxi were noted prior to this study. In this study, 249 Myxomycete specimens from field collecting and moist chamber culturing were identified and classified; 15 specimens collected and identified by our predecessors were reexamined. 63 taxa belonging to 25 genera of 10 families in 6 orders were recognized, of which 6 in China were known only from Guangxi and other 46 were first recorded in Guangxi. All 74 known Myxomycete species were listed in the present paper. All the specimens examined are deposited in the Herbarium Mycologicum Instituti Microbiologici Academiae Sinica(HMAS).
A preliminary report on Myxomycetes from Guizhou Province

Abstract:119 specimens of Myxomycetes collected from Guizhou and 19 specimens cultured by moist chamber of barks were identificated. And 17 specimens deposited in HMAS and 4 specimens in HKAS were reexamined. According to a taxonomic study,51 species of Myxomycetes from Guizhou are noted in this paper. They represented 6 orders 9 families 21genera. Among them,44 species are new records for Guizhou Province. Badhamia iowensis T.Macbr.and Comatricha erythropodia B.Ing are records for China.

Abstract:Field collecting,moist chamber culturing and species identifying of myxomycetes from Jiangsu,Zhejiang and Anhui were made in order to understand the species diversity of myxomycetes in the northern subtropical region of China.In total,148myxomycete species have been recognized from this region until now,belonging to 34 genera of eleven families in six orders.Among them,108 species were found from Jiangsu including twelve species new to the province;72 from Zhejiang including sixteen new to the province;92 from Anhui including fifteen new to the province.The taxonomic positions and names of some species were emended.The habitats and distributions of each species from the three provinces were given.This result enriches the knowledge of myxomycetes in the subtropical region as well as in China.

Abstract:Southern Guangdong,southern Guangxi,Hainan,southern Yunnan, southern Taiwan,Hong Kong and Macau of China lie to the south of Tropic of Cancer.This area belongs to the Tropics geographically.In this paper,all known species of myxomycetes from tropical China were reported based on identification and reexamination of specimens as well as literature research in order to carry out a comprehensive and systematical study on diversity and taxonomy of myxomycetes in tropical China.The taxonomic positions and names of some species were renewed.The habitats and distributions of every myxomycete species from tropical China were given.The results showed that 160 myxomycete species have been recognized from tropical China up to now,which belong respectively to 35 genera of 13 families of 6 orders.Among them,23 species were found from southern Guangdong,61 species from southern Guangxi,33 species from Hainan,67 species from southern Yunnan,26 species from southern Taiwan,66 species from Hong Kong and 10 species from Macau.According to the distribution of known myxomycete species from tropical China in six orders,1 species is referred to Ceratiomyxales,5 to Echinosteliales,22 to Liceales,32 to Trichiales,73 to Physarales and 27 to Stemonitales.

Abstract:Four species of myxomycetes are reported from China for the first time. Cornuvia serpula and Perichaena microspora were discovered from Houhe Nature Reserve in Hubei Province. Criterium muscorum and Diderma fragile were discovered from Yaoluoping Nature Reserve in Anhui Province. Their morphological features are described and illustrated by light microscope and scanning electron microscope. These specimens are deposited in Herbarium of Fungi of Nanjing Normal University (HFNNU).

Abstract:Fifty-two myxomycete taxa from the Mid-Upper Reaches of the Bailong River were listed in the present paper. Of them, 3 species are new to China. They are Craterium paraguayenese (Speg.) G Lister, Diderma montanum (Meyl.) Meyl. and Physarum bitectum G Lister. 34 species are new to Gansu Procince.

Abstract:Based on the specimens at PYU, this paper gives some new contributions to pteridophyte of Yunnan. Three new species and two new varieties, three species new to China, one genus and two species new to Yunnan, a new combinative name of one species are described, illustrated or photographed. The phylogenetic position of another species is reviewed and its new combinative name is given in the present paper.

Abstract:Discovering novel Xylaria species. The genus Xylaria comprises a diverse group of fungi with a global distribution and significant ecological importance, known for being a source of bioactive secondary metabolites with antibacterial, antioxidative, anticarcinogenic, and additional properties. In this study, we present a comprehensive taxonomic revision of the species of Xylaria found in some parts of southern China, characterized by an extensive multilocus phylogeny analysis based on internal transcribed spacer (ITS), TUB2 (β‐tubulin), and DNA‐directed RNA polymerase II subunit 2 (rpb2) gene regions. Morphological examination and detailed comparative analyses of the collected specimens were conducted to determine the distinctiveness of each species. The multilocus phylogeny approach allowed us to infer evolutionary relationships and assess species boundaries accurately, leading to the identification of 40 novel Xylaria species hitherto unknown to science. The newly described species are: X. baoshanensis, X. bawanglingensis, X. botryoidalis, X. dadugangensis, X. doupengshanensis, X. fanglanii, X. glaucae, X. guizhouensis, X. japonica, X. jinghongensis, X. jinshanensis, X. kuankuoshuiensis, X. liboensis, X. negundinis, X. orbiculati, X. ovata, X. pseudoanisopleura, X. pseudocubensis, X. pseudobambusicola, X. pseudoglobosa, X. pseudohemisphaerica, X. pseudohypoxylon, X. puerensis, X. qianensis, X. qiongzhouensis, X. rhombostroma, X. serratifoliae, X. shishangensis, X. shuqunii, X. shuangjiangensis, X. sinensis, X. tongrenensis, X. umbellata, X. xishuiensis, X. yaorenshanensis, X. yinggelingensis, X. yumingii, X. yunnanensis, X. zangmui, and X. zonghuangii. The study's findings shed light on the distinctiveness of the newly described species, supported by both morphological distinctions and phylogenetic relationships with their close relatives. This taxonomic revision significantly contributes to our understanding the diversity of Xylaria in China and enriches the knowledge of fungal biodiversity worldwide.

Abstract:Two new myxomycetes from subtropical forests of China, Arcyria aeruginosa sp. nov. and Diderma subochraceum sp. nov., are described and illustrated. Arcyria aeruginosa occurred on rotten stem of bamboo and differs from all known species of the genus in having dense spines on inner surface of cups. The diagnostic feature of D. subochraceum is single-layered peridium which dehisces by longitudinal or stellate slit. Preliminary phylogenetic analyses based on partial 18S rDNA sequences support the establishment of the two new species. Additionally, Didymium saturnus H.W. Keller and Fuligo luteonitens L.G. Krieglst. & Nowotny are reported from China for the first time.

Abstract:Pleurotheciaceae is a genera-rich and highly diverse family of fungi with a worldwide distribution in aquatic and terrestrial habitats. During the investigation of lignicolous freshwater fungi from karst landscapes in Yunnan Province, China, 15 fresh strains were obtained from submerged decaying wood. Based on the morphology and phylogenetic analysis of a combined LSU, ITS, SSU, and rpb2 sequence dataset, Obliquifusoideum triseptatum, Phaeoisaria obovata, Pleurotheciella brachyspora, Pl. longidenticulata, and Pl. obliqua were introduced as new species, P. synnematica and Rhexoacrodictys melanospora were reported as new habitat records, and P. sedimenticola and Pl. hyalospora were reported as new collections. In addition, based on morphological comparisons and phylogenetic analysis, we accepted Obliquifusoideum into in the family Pleurotheciaceae (Pleurotheciales, Savoryellomycetidae). Freshwater habitats are the primary habitats of Pleurotheciaceae species, and Yunnan Province has the highest concentration and species diversity of Pleurotheciaceae in China.

Abstract:We describe a new fungal species of the genus Lentithecium, collected from dead culms of Artemisia sp. in Songhua Reservoir at Kunming, Yunnan Province, China. Multi-gene phylogenetic analyses of LSU, ITS, SSU, and tef1-α sequence data showed that our new fungal strain belongs to Lentithecium and is well separated from all other extant species of Lentithecium. Lentithecium yunnanensis sp. nov. is compared with all the extant species by morphological characteristics, culture characteristics, host, and location information and is the first report of Lentithecium from China on Artemisia. A comprehensive description, a color photo plate of microcharacteristics, and a phylogenetic tree to show the position of the new species are provided.
