Abstract:In this paper, seventy five species and one variety of myxomycetes are reported from Tibet, China. Fifty two species and one variety are new to Tibet. Two species, Badhamia foliicola and Trichia crenulata, are new to China, and they were briefly described.

Abstract:5 species of Laboulbeniales collected from Tibet of China were reported in this paper,i.e.,Botryandromyces heteroceri (Maire) Tav. & Maj. on　Heterocerus sp.,Cantharomyces platystethi Thaxt.on Platystethus sp.,Rhachomyces phiionthinus Thaxt. on Philonthus sp.，Eumonoicomyces papuanus Thaxt.on Oxytelus sp. and Laboulbenia vulgaris Peyr.on Bembidiom sp..Eumonoicomyces papuanus Thaxt.was a new record in China, and Laboulbenia vulgaris Peyr.was firstly reported in Tibet. Chinese diagnoses and illustrations of the species were presented.All researched specimens are deposited in Herbarium of Microbiology Institute of Guangdong (HMIGD), China.

Abstract:Three new species, Myrothecium bacilliforme, M. biforme and M. macrosporum, and one new variety, M. ad‐ vena var. terricola from soils of China are reported. A key to 12 species and varieties of Myrothecium known from soils in China are provided. Holotypes, all other specimens(dried cultures) and living cultures examined are deposited in the Herbarium of Shandong Agricultural University: Plant Pathology(HSAUP). Isotypes(dried cultures) are kept in HMAS.

Abstract:The genus Chrysotus Meigen is reported from Tibet for the first time. Five species are recorded. The following four species are described as new to science: Chrysotus altavaginas sp. nov., C. motuoensis sp. nov., C. namaicunensis sp. nov. and C. tibetensis sp. nov., Chrysotus biprojicienus Wei & Zhang is recorded from Tibet for the first time. A key to the species of Chrysotus from Tibet is presented.

Abstract:According to the Species Catalogue of China, Tibet, China, has more than 1,000 species of bryophytes, showing its remarkably high biodiversity. Amongst them, the Polytrichaceae is one of the largest family, with six genera and 25 species, one subspecies and two varieties reported previously.Based on a field survey and specimen identification, the following species have been newly recorded in the bryoflora of Tibet, namely Oligotrichum obtusatum Broth., Pogonatum contortum (Menzies ex Brid.) Lesq. and Polytrichum sphaerothecium (Besch.) Müll. Hal.

Abstract:During our studying of the fauna of Tibet, China, many specimens of the subfamily Tachininae ( Diptera , Tachinidae ) were collected and examined. Three species are described here as new to science, Leskia latisurstyla sp. nov. , Trichoformosomyia cuonaensis sp. nov. , and Tachina jilongensis sp. nov. , and two species, Nemoraea javana (Brauer & Bergenstamm, 1894) and N. echinata Mesnil, 1953, are newly recorded from Tibet. In addition to their descriptions, illustrations, and diagnoses, three identification keys are provided. The specimens in this study are kept in the Insect Collection of Shenyang Normal University, China ( SYNU ).

Abstract:Previously 3 Chinese species of the genus Xanthochlorus (Diptera: Dolichopodidae) were known to occur in Shaanxi and Henan. Here this genus is newly reported from Tibet with one new species, Xanthochlorus tibetensis sp. nov. This finding extends the distribution of the genus in Asia to the Himalayas. Relationship of the new species with the known ones is discussed. A revised key to the Chinese species of Xanthochlorus is presented.

Abstract:A new checklist of Thysanoptera from China (including Taiwan) is provided. In total 566 species in 155 genera are listed, of which there are 313 species in the suborder Terebrantia, comprising 290 species in 74 genera in family Thripidae, 18 species in three genera in Aeolothripidae, two species in one genus in Melanthripidae and three species in one genus in Merothripidae. In the suborder Tubulifera 253 species in 76 genera are listed in the single family Phlaeothripidae. Two species, Aeolothrips collaris and Odontothrips meliloti, are newly recorded for the fauna of China.
NEW SPECIES OF GENUS TYROMYCES FROM CHINA

Abstract:The genus Tyromyces was established by Karsten in 1881. During the past hundred years many taxonomists were of different opinions on the concept of this genus. In this paper the. new generic concept of the genus is adopted. The generic characteristics are as follows: fresh fruitbody soft, separable and succulent; context fleshy, homogenous, after drying fragile, easily powdery and caseous. Hyphal system monomitic or dimitic. If dimitic it consists of generative hyphae and binding or skeletal hyphae. The hyphal system mentioned here is only included in the context and the tramal hyphae not treated. The spores of each species are not treated with chemicals because they are very rare, not easily to be found in dried specimens. Almost all of the fungi classified at present to this genus are saprophytes decaying wood of dead deciduous and coniferous trees. Many of these fungi cause brown rot of wood and some ones are destroyers of the standing and down timber. In 1886 the French mycologist L. Quelet, established the genus Leptoporus. Many mycologists consider that the two genera have the same generic delimitation. According to the studies of Donk (1960) it is better to use Tyromyces with Polyporus chioneus Fr. as the type species based on the rule of priority of nomenclature. From China Teng (1964) reported 18 species and Tai (1979) recorded 24 species. Among them the hyphal system of certain species is trimitic and, therefore should be excluded from the genus. With this new generic concept of Tyromyces, the species of the genus from China have been restudied. In the present paper 22 species have been identified, of which 6 are new records and 3 as new species (Tyromyces armeniacus, Tyromyces imbricatus, Tyromyces tibeticus). Each new species is fully described in Latin and Chinese. All the materials are deposited in the Mycological Herbarium of Institute of Microbiology, Academia Sinica, Beijing.

Abstract:Cryptothecia and Myriostigma are important elements of crustose lichen communities in tropical to subtropical forests, but little research has been done on these two genera in China. Morphological and molecular phylogenetic approaches to investigate species diversity of Cryptothecia and Myriostigma from Southern China were carried out in this study. We find five species of Cryptothecia and Myriostigma in our study, including three new species (M. flavescens, M. hainana and M. laxipunctata) and two new records (C. bartlettii and C. inexspectata). In addition, a phylogenetic tree based on mtSSU, RPB2 and nLSU illustrates the placement of the five species and supports the delimitation of the three new taxa. Detailed descriptions of morphological, ecological and chemical characteristics and illustrations are provided for every species. A key to all known Chinese Cryptothecia and Myriostigma species is also provided.

Abstract:One new species, Dolichocoxys wangi Zhang et Liu, sp. nov. of the tribe Blondeliini (Diptera, Tachinidae) from Tibet and Yunnan, China is described and illustrated. Admontia podomyia Brauer et Bergenstamm from Sichuan and Qinghai, and Oswaldia gilva Shima from Liaoning are newly recorded from China. The type specimens of the new species are separately preserved in Shenyang Normal University and Shanghai Entomological Museum.

Abstract:Nectriaceae is a highly diverse family, and members have a worldwide distribution, particularly in warm temperate to tropical regions. During the survey of fungal diversity in different habitats in Yunnan province, China, two new species isolated from soil and air respectively, namely Atractiumyunnanense sp. nov. and Nalanthamalaxishuangbannaensis sp. nov., were proposed based on morphological comparisons and the multi-gene phylogenetic analyses of combined ITS, LSU, rpb2, and tub2 sequence data. Phylogenetically, both species clustered in a monophyletic clade within Nectriaceae with strong support. A.yunnanense is characterized by synnematous conidiophores, pale olivaceous-green, clavate to oblong-ellipsoidal, multi-septate conidia, and pale olivaceous-green chlamydospores. N.xishuangbannaensis has acremonium-like or penicillium-like conidiophores and either obovate or ellipsoidal, cylindrical or fusiform conidia. Full descriptions, illustrations, and a phylogenetic tree showing the phylogenetic position of the two new species were provided.

Abstract:The present catalogue of Anthomyiidae attempts to list all species (173) described or recorded from mainland China (165) and Taiwan (8) that for various reasons are not treated in "Flies of China" from 1998. The catalogue further lists Chinese species that are presently standing in new generic combinations compared to those of "Flies of China", species that have changed name because of synonymy or misidentification, and species upgraded from subspecies to species. Regional distribution by province is specified for all species. Literature sources to descriptions or records of anthomyiid species from China are only given for those 173 species not covered by "Flies of China". Four new combinations are proposed: Enneastigmafulva (Malloch, 1934), Enneastigmahenanensis (Ge & Fan, 1982), Enneastigmalengshanensis (Xue, 2001) and Hylemyaqinghaiensis (Fan, Chen & Ma, 1989). Eremomyiaturbida Huckett, 1951 is revived from synonymy with Chortophilatriticiperda Stein, 1900 (current name Eutrichotaturbida). One subspecies is upgraded to species: Adiaasiatica Fan, 1988. The following eight new synonymies are proposed: Deliapectinatorfuscilateralis Fan in Fan & Zheng, 1992 with Deliapectinator Suwa, 1984; Eremomyiapilimanapilimarginata Fan & Qian in Fan, Chen, Ma & Ge, 1982 with Eremomyiaturbida Huckett, 1951 (current name Eutrichotaturbida); Lopesohylemya Fan, Chen & Ma, 1989 with Hylemya Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830; Deliomyia Fan in Fan et al., 1988 with Subhylemyia Ringdahl, 1933; Hydrophoriadisticrassa Xue & Bai, 2009 with Hydrophoriapullata Wu, Liu & Wei, 1995 (current name Zaphnepullata); Heteroterma Wei, 2006 with Scathophaga Meigen, 1803; Heterotermafanjingensis Wei, 2006 with Scathophagacurtipilata Feng, 2002; Scatomyzafansipanicola Ozerov in Ozerov & Krivosheina, 2011 with Scathophagacurtipilata Feng, 2002. The genus Heteroterma Wei, 2006 and species Heterotermafanjingensis Wei, 2006 are reassigned from Anthomyiidae to Scathophagidae.

Abstract:Rich and diverse fungal species occur in different habitats on the earth. Many new taxa are being reported and described in increasing numbers with the advent of molecular phylogenetics. However, there are still a number of unknown fungi that have not yet been discovered and described. During a survey of fungal diversity in different habitats in China, we identified and proposed two new species, based on the morphology and multi-gene phylogenetic analyses. Herein, we report the descriptions, illustrations and molecular phylogeny of the two new species, Bisifusarium keratinophilum sp. nov. and Ovatospora sinensis sp. nov.

Abstract:In China, species of the genus Infundibulicybe are often confused with other taxa and misdetermined. Here we describe two newly discovered species, I. bispora and I. ellipsospora, and redescribe five known taxa of this genus present in China. These identifications are supported by both morphological and DNA-based phylogenetic evidence. Additionally, a key to all known species of Infundibulicybe is provided.

Abstract:Two new species of the genus Mongolotettix Rehn, 1928 from China, i.e. Mongolotettix wulingyuanensis sp. nov. and Mongolotettix. shaanxiensis sp. nov. are described herein. M. wulingyuanensis sp. nov. is similar to M. angustiseptus Wan, Ren & Zhang, 1998, but differs from the latter by body larger, length of body ♂ 25.6 mm, ♀ 39.1mm; tegmina of male without a white stripe on the fore margin at base; subgenital plate of male conical, sides concave, apex acute; both outer sides of epiphallus without acute projection in the middle. M. shaanxiensis sp. nov. is similar to M. anomopterus (Caudell, 1921), but differs from the latter by tegmina of male longer, reaching the end of epiproct, without a white stripe on the fore margin at base, tegmina of female longer, reaching the middle of 2nd abdominal tergum, width of epiphallus larger than height, upper ovipositor valve slender, length 3.8 times its maximum width. A key to all nine known species of the genus from China is given. Type specimens are deposited in the Northwest Plateau Institute of Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Xining, 810001, China.
