An Integrated Study on Expressive Syntax of Russian——The Perspective of Functional Grammar Theory in Expressive Syntax Research

Abstract:Expressiveness is not only one of the most common linguistic categories but also one of the most fundamental functions of language.However,various problems still exist in the studies of expressive syntax.This paper suggests that,based upon functional grammar theory,it is beneficial to conduct an integrated study on expressive syntax of Russian,combining structural semantic description,pragmatic analysis of discourse,cognitive interpretation,examination of cultural language,and foreign language teaching.Methods for the introduction of expressive syntax knowledge are put forward,based on the integration between China's Russian teaching and the multi-perspective,systematic discussion on the semantic structure,expressive means,discourse and pragmatic functions,ethnic psychology and cultural connotations of Russian expressive syntax.
