Abstract:On-line oscillation analysis algorithms are used to monitor on-line low-frequency oscillation for control of wide-area damping. The development of Wide Area Measurement system (WAMS) supply platform for real-time dynamic monitor of giant interconnected power grid, low-frequency oscillation on-line analysis is very important part of it. So the paper do research about the on-line analysis Algorithms of low-frequency oscillation, choosing an improved Prony method for on-line analysis of low-frequency oscillation. Experiment of MATLAB demonstrate that the reduced-order model is more accurate with less computations, therefore, it is useful for on-line applications .
