Determination of Uridine and Adenine in Cordyceps Sinensis by RP-HPLC

Abstract:Objective To simultaneously determine the contents of uridine and adenine in Cordyceps sinensis by the HPLC method.Methods The analytical column was the Kromasil C 18 column(150 mm × 4.6 mm,5 μm).The mobile phase consisted of methanol-water(5:95).The flow rate was 1.0 mL /min and the detection wavelength was 260 nm.Results The mass concentrations of uridine and adenine in the range of 5 ～ 500 μg /mL showed the good linear relation with the peak area(r≥ 0.999 1),and the average recovery rates were 99.25% and 99.43% respectively.Conclusion This method is quick,accurate,reproducible and can be used for the simultaneous determination of the uridine and adenine contents in Cordyceps sinensis.
