Abstract:γ-Carbolines were obtained in a simple one-pot Fischer arting from N-acetyl-3-bromo-4-piperidone hydrobro-reaction starting from N-acetyl-3-bromo-4-piperidone hydrobromide and substituted arylhydrazine hydrochlorides in acidic media under microwave irradiation or by a thermal process. The optimization procedures are reported in detail, and the results from micro-wave processes are compared with conventional ones.

Abstract:A simple, rapid, and highly efficient method has been developed for the aza-Michael addition of acrylonitrile to 2-aryl-oxymethylbenzimidazole derivatives in the presence of anhydrous potassium carbonate under microwave irradiation. A series novel of 1-cyanoethyl-2-aryloxymethylbenzimidazole derivatives have been prepared and characterised by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, IR spectra and elemental analysis.

Abstract:The one-pot U-4CR and intramolecular O-alkylation sequence starting from 2-aminophenols in combination with α-bromoalkanoic acids, aldehydes, and isocyanides under controlled microwave heating has been established for a rapid access to highly functionalized 3,4-dihydro-3-oxo-2H-1,4-benzoxazines. With appropriate substitutions on the 1,4-benzoxazines, a microwave-assisted Cu-catalyzed intramolecular amidation was performed to furnish a novel class of heterocyclic conjugates of 1,4-benzoxazines with a 2-oxindole linked through a C–N single bond.

Abstract:A concise and efficient protocol for the preparation of β‐trifluoromethyl‐β‐acylhydrazonyl carbonyl compounds was developed from multicomponent one‐pot reactions of trifluoroacetaldehyde methyl hemiacetal, acylhydrazines and 2‐bromocarbonyl compounds in the presence of tin powder. The reactions can be carried out under mild reaction conditions to give the products in good to excellent yields.

Abstract:The synthesis of various substituted 1,4-dihydropyridines has been achieved by the reaction of aldehydes, ethyl/methyl acetoacetates, and ammonium acetate in water using phase-transfer catalyst under microwave irradiation. Compared to the classical Hantzsch's reaction conditions, this new method consistently has the advantage of good yields and short reaction times. Bifunctional compounds containing two units have been synthesized using dialdehyde as precursor in good yields.

Abstract:The goal of the following procedure is to provide a demonstration of the one-pot conversion of a 2-azido-1-nitrate-ester to a trichloroacetimidate glycosyl donor. Following azido-nitration of a glycal, the product 2-azido-1-nitrate ester can be hydrolyzed under microwave-assisted irradiation. This transformation is usually achieved using strongly nucleophilic reagents and extended reaction times. Microwave irradiation induces hydrolysis, in the absence of reagents, with short reaction times. Following denitration, the intermediate anomeric alcohol is converted, in the same pot, to the corresponding 2-azido-1-trichloroacetimidate.

Abstract:Despite numerous optimizations in peptide synthesis, the formation of aspartimide remains a significant side reaction that needs to be addressed. Herein, we introduce an approach that utilizes hydrazide as a carboxylic-acid-protecting group to reduce the formation of aspartimide. The aspartic acid hydrazide effectively suppressed the formation of aspartimide, even under microwave conditions, and was readily converted to native aspartic acid using CuSO(4) in an aqueous medium.

Abstract:A new microwave‐assisted method for the synthesis of 1,4‐dihydropyridine carboxylates has been developed using commonly available, economical starting materials using triethylamine as a base catalyst and ethanol as a green solvent. An innovative green procedure has been devised to prepare derivatives of 1,4‐dihydropyridine (1,4‐DHP). This method works with a catalyst process using ethanol as solvent under microwave irradiation conditions, enabling swift reactions (<30 min) with impressive yields (90%–96%). It contributes to an environmentally friendly and easily executable process by using the energy efficiency method. Within 30 min, this method underscores ecologically conscious practices and offers simple purification, streamlining the process by omitting column chromatography. This method highlights the efficacy and eco‐friendly nature of synthesizing 1,4‐DHPs. This method combines four component reactions, utilizing EtOH as the solvent and triethylamine as the catalyst. Furthermore, the product was characterized by diverse spectroscopic analysis.

Abstract:Catalytic carbonylation, which converts multiple green or sustainable starting materials to critical compounds with highly atom-economical and chemo selective properties, is a highly desirable and elusive process. Furthermore, the carbonylation of alkenes with hydrazines are performed to produce acylhydrazones, which are versatile building blocks in the formation of numerous pharmaceuticals. However, the syntheses of functionalized acylhydrazones involve multi-step reactions that require harsh conditions. Therefore, we herein report practical one-pot catalytic hydrohydrazono-carbonylation condensations of alkenes with hydrazines and aldehydes to form acylhydrazones, with water as the sole coproduct, overcoming the challenge of regioselectivity in multicomponent reactions. Using appropriate ligands, branched or linear N-alkyl-substituted acylhydrazones may be obtained in good-to-high yields with excellent regioselectivities. All the acylhydrazone derivatives are unknown compounds and gram-scale (255.8 g) acylhydrazones are prepared using this protocol, and a possible reaction mechanism is proposed, based on control experiments and labeling studies.

Abstract:The concepts about "microwave-assisted synthesis" and "microwave reaction enhancement" have become increasingly popular because of their appropriateness in different organic transformations. The advantages of utilizing microwaves in the field of chemistry are indisputable, and the utilization of high-speed, microwave-assisted reactions has undeniably gained significant traction and recognition. In the present study, Co/C material, an amorphous carbon-containing metal, and after characterization, it has been used as an acidic Lewis catalyst for the synthesis of acridine derivatives through a one-pot, multi-component pathway with solvent H 2 O supported by microwave irradiation. The advantages of this method are the decrease of the reaction duration and the use of an eco-friendly solvent that is compatible with the reusability of the Co/C catalyst, and the reaction performance remains stable, up to 87%.

Abstract:Herein, we present a novel and highly efficient strategy for the synthesis of dihydropyrazoles via Pd‐catalyzed carboamination reaction of alkenyl hydrazones and aryl triflates. The simultaneous formation of C–C and C–N bonds in a single step is particularly appealing. The methodology provides a practical and efficient synthesis of various diversely aryl substituted dihydropyrazoles in good yields.
