Abstract:There are many misunderstandings on how to understand Marx’s labor theory of value. This theory is not a “metaphysical hypothesis” without empirical evidence, which is what many people often mistakenly believe, but the abstract theoretical summary extracted from the experience of common sense. The theory is not intended as an ethical critique of capitalism, but a scientific method to reveal the objective laws from simple commodity production to capitalist commodity production. Viewing the evolution of the economic formation of society as a process of natural history is the fundamental reason why Marx’s socialist theory is superior to other socialist theories. With the development of history, this theory has indeed encountered new problems that require convincing solutions. It should eventually die out, but it always has significant value in scientific methods.

Abstract:This paper computes the values of commodities (including fixed capital) as well as production prices in China's economy. In light of Marx's transformation problem, the ratios of production prices to the values of 24 major commodities are computed. It is shown that the ratio of price to value in agriculture is the lowest, which indicates that agriculture is facing an unequal exchange of labor with other sectors.

Abstract:Current theory of labor value regards value only as physical consumption of abstract individuals,not as the creation of human life and social relationship,so it fails to reflect the historical development of abstract labor and provide a sound explanation of the huge growth of GDP per capita.The solution to this problem is to confirm two types of existing forms of labor value,namely materialized form and humanized form.The former is the crystal of human life in commodity formed in the process of material production,and the latter which is embodied in human life is transformed from materialized value in the process of human production.Based on this assumption we can develop index models of commodity value trend and value ratio of international product prices.Therefore,it eliminates the theoretical crisis of current theory of labor value and provides a theoretical model in accordance with the real world,leading to new development space and unique charm of Marxism labor value.

All laborers possess manpower capital, and talents are those who have an advantage in manpower capital. Abstract:The paper firstly proposes that a clear line be drawn between the conc ept of value in the field of philosophy and culture on one hand, and that as the axle of fluctuation of prices in economics on the other. The publicity of the v iew that the application value predetermines the final value is to be given the least attention. The author also believes that labor and the predetermination of value by labor can either correlated or separated with each other, and that in this respect, however, it is unexpected that the production of value can be the criterion for the measurement of size of labor. The production of value and weal th is either related with or separated from its distribution. The theory on valu e of labor does not constitute the part of theoretical foundation of the practic e: distribution according to the intensity of labor. To discuss the problem of e xploitation, one is expected to have a thorough understanding of Marxist view on exploitation.

Marxism develops itself with the advancement of time, but this means the fundamental principles of Marxism can be used to analyze new situations, new issues and reach new conclusions. This property strength consists of individual dimension, structural dimension and institutional and environmental dimension. The combination with different strength or weakness of labor property gives rise to different status of labor and types of Industrial relations. In current China the labor force, especially country workers, are weak in property strength of human capital so that a kind of employer-directed labor relations prevails. It is necessary for the government to take measures increasing human capital investment and reinforcing legal and institution protection for the weak labor force in order to build a harmonious and balanceable labor relation.

Abstract:Alienation has its profound basis in anthropology,and it is necessary to seek some fundamental factors causing alienation by studying the nature of labor.Labor on one hand makes man different from animals,and on the other hand creates man and forms human own kind's essence.However,labor not only has its positive meanings,but also keeps its negative aspects,that is,when it contacts with objects,it is likely to plunge into will power and the illusion of desire self-complacence.Therefore,either the positive or negative aspect of labor,both of them provide the anthropological basis,especially the negative plays more roles.The externalization of labor's internal contradiction is represented by the relation between capital and labor.In such an externalization,labor realizes its own affirmation through denying itself.

Abstract:The social labor should be divided into two levels:"routine labor" under "normal conditions of production",and "innovative labor" which creates this kind of conditions of production."Routine labor" creates labor value which is equal to the "abstract labor time" under "normal conditions of production condition" in certain society,and this process of time is at micro level,and people create the labor value as the social relationship by producing goods for other people as well.But innovative labor doesn't produce goods directly,the product of which is nothing other than the "transformation of normal conditions of production",and so creates the labor value by enhancing human capacity of producing goods.The value created by this kind of labor is equal to the historical accumulation of the growth of value during the transformation of social production condition.The process of time during which the labor value is created by innovative labor is at macro level of social history.The theory of labor value in force fails because of confusing of these two different levels of labor and process of time,and so caused a series of theoretical difficulties which would be solved by the theory in this essay.

Abstract:Capital is playing an increasingly important role in China's production.And as a contributive factor it participates in the distribution.When trying to find theoretical support,some people try to revise the Marxist Labor Theory of Value while others want to thoroughly discard it.But finally they came to the same conclusion by different means that it is capital that creates value.It is a scientific theory that Labor is the only source of value.However,the inconsistency of value distribution and value creation in socialist countries is beyond Marx's expectation.Such case in China results from the development level of the productive forces and the specific historical conditions.To accept the realistic development strategy,we must adhere to the scientific theory.We should not throw away the weapons of "transforming the world" for the sake of "explaining" a temporary phenomenon.

Abstract:This article questions the widely held opinion that Adam Smith confined his use of a labor theory of exchangeable value to an “early and rude state of society” in which independent laborers exchange the surplus products of their labor. It is argued that Smith did not explicitly disavow a more general application for the theory; that he continued to invoke (changes in) quantities of labor as principal determinants of (changes in) exchangeable value in all states of society; and that he had, in his own terms, some theoretical justification for his position. Moreover, it is argued that the lengths to which he went to obtain an association between the concepts of real price/real value and expended labor, ultimately to the point of abandoning his own declared choice of “real measure,” is compelling evidence of his commitment to an albeit rudimentary labor theory of exchangeable value.

Abstract:To achieve a comprehensive development of human beings is the value pursuit of Marxist theory as a whole,but the alienated labor theory is the core link in the transformation of Marx's thoughts . This theory reveals various forms of and causes for the unbalanced development of human be-ings and their devaluation under capitalist conditions. Thus,the theory of alienated labor is homologi-cal in nature,which covers the issues like human value,human needs,human liberation,and the re-lationship between man and nature. The research on these issues constitutes the basic framework of Marx's homonological theory. It is from the perspective of pursuing a balanced development of human beings that Marx revealed the humanistic theme of sublating the alienation,which means rising above man's instrumental rationality and moving from an unbalanced development to a balanced one. In con-temporary China,this is where the meaning of understanding and learning from this theory lies. We have to promote our initiative in sticking to Marx's theory of labor,respect the labor and laborers,and create favorable living and working conditions for them,thus laying a solid homological foundation for our confidence in the road,system and theory of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
