Investigation and analysis on the situation of nursing research in our hospital in the last 11 years

Abstract:Objective To analysis the current status of nursing research and explore the methods of nursing research management. Method The data of nursing research in the last 11 years were analyzed,including the numbers of nursing research each year,the sources of research project,funds,research contents,distribution of departments,the situation of the first research leader,awards and publi- cations,and so on.Results There were 121 research projects in the last 11 years.The number and funds increased gradually.84.30% of the research involved in specialty nursing field.73.55% of the research projeets were performed by major departments.Most of the first re- search leaders were nurses with secondary professional titles and associate degree who aged from 36 to 45 with 11～20 years of working ex- perience.74.38% of the first research leaders were managers and 30 of them were responsible to more than one research project.The num- ber of awards and publications were increased significantly gradually.Three research projects passed research appraisal.Conclusion The progress and development of nursing research is due to scientific management in many ways.The managers still need boost scientific re- search personnel training,widen the resources and improve scientific research ahility.
