Technology Gap, Intellectual Property Right Protection and Economic Growth:An Empirical Study Based on Multi- country Data

Abstract:Through the empirical study based on muti-country date in this paper,it shows that IPR protection is conducive to growth in countries with more advanced technology,while it does not matter or have a negative effect on growth of countries far away from the technological frontier.The optimal lever of IPR protection varies with countries.Looser standard should be adopted to evaluate the performance of development counties' IPR protection work while the situation keeps moving on.
