Abstract:On January 27th-30th in 2010 Davos Forum, the actual statistical data presented by the world economic picture and the feelings of participators are not different. On the one hand, statistics show the actual recovery and economic growth including the developed economies in the global. The international organizations forecast, purchasing managers index (PMI) and the major indexes also show a wide range of forecasts for the better situation. On the other hand, the Davos forum, the Western politicians and celebrities feel the economy is generally not good. Mainstream view of economic recession is we can not be lightly over and the economy has recovered, especially the out of economic stimulus.

Abstract:The world financial turmoil brought China an unprecedented economic decline.The traditional macro-control ideas for stimulating the economy will lead to greater economic losses,and will touch on social issues.So the correct macro-control idea should be: The people's livelihood security should be put on the first place.The government should pay attention on the role of consumption because every investment must be depended on the requirement of consumption.The priority should be consumption and then construction.In the economic recession period,China need carefully use of domestic resources,carefully choose stimulating economic means,avoiding blindly consumption of national savings,and minimizing the waste of investments.Anyway,China should preserve the strength in the severe winter,spend great efforts to solve the problem of excess production capacity,minimize the gap between rich and poor,adjust of economic structure,and keeping the social development in balance.

Abstract:Purpose In the past 70 years since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, China’s economic studies have been constantly centered on major issues such as national modernization, social economic development and the establishment, reform and improvement of socialist economic system. The paper aims to discuss this issue. Design/methodology/approach It has experienced a process of transition from the establishment of traditional Soviet’s paradigm of political economics to that of modern economics, during which drastic changes have been observed in various aspects of China’s economics, including research content, scope and methods. Findings Based on that, a discipline system of economics in line with international economics has been initially established. Currently, under the guidance of Marxism, scholars in China’s economics actively draw on the beneficial knowledge system and analytical methods from modern economics, emancipate their minds, seek truth from facts and constantly fortify confidence in the socialist path, theory, system and culture, continuously enhance the discourse power of China’s economics in global economic governance system, so as to push forward to the building of a theoretical system of socialist economics with Chinese Characteristics in the new era. Originality/value Economics is a discipline that studies resource allocation and human’s behavior of making a choice based on rationality. Emerged in the industrial revolution and developed in the exploration of a large-scale socialized mode of production and resource allocation system, this discipline has gradually become a broadly explanatory force in social sciences which profoundly affects the economic decision-making behaviors of the government and various economic entities.

Abstract:Recently business cycle and economic crisis have drawn the greatest attention in academic study. Discussions and disputes focus mainly on the fundamental causes of business fluctuations and the formation mechanisms of economic crises. With an intensive study of the classic literature on the sources of business fluctuations,this paper sums up the hot topics and key issues in the business cycle literature. Further,we apply the western theories to the Chinese context and come to the following conclusions. First,real economy has always been running along a path of its own. Second,the optimal policy should be to follow a long-term consistent rule in the finance,credit and monetary sectors. Third,strategies giving priority to the development of real economy is superior to opportunism in virtue economy. Last,the best policy is to increase investment in human capital,to comply with the law governing the development of real economy,and to stop interfering with the fluctuations in the price of real assets.

Abstract:This paper provides an in-depth analysis on China's transition and development path.So far,China's e- conomic reform maintains the pre-reform rural-urban segmentation,economic decentralization and relational gov- ernance,albeit to a different extent.The associated political and social structure are conducive to capital accu- mulation,getting incentive right and contractual enforcement in the early stage of development,while they incur some costs such as increasingly widening income gaps,which have some negative effects on economic growth, poverty-reduction and social mobility,posing great challenges for sustainable and harmonious development. Hence,before the costs come to a threshold,China should make some corresponding gradual changes in politi- cal and social structure,leading to a unique China development model.
