Abstract:In this paper, we derive a joint central limit theorem for random vector whose components are function of random sesquilinear forms. This result is a natural extension of the existing central limit theory on random quadratic forms. We also provide applications in random matrix theory related to large-dimensional spiked population models. For the first application, we find the joint distribution of grouped extreme sample eigenvalues correspond to the spikes. And for the second application, under the assumption that the population covariance matrix is diagonal with k (fixed) simple spikes, we derive the asymptotic joint distribution of the extreme sample eigenvalue and its corresponding sample eigenvector projection.

Via approximation results, the convergence rates of the strong law of large numbers for (r) S n are studied.

Abstract:The output signal to interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) of linear multistage parallel interference cancellation receiver in a random environment is considered. When the number of users and the spreading factors tend to infinity with their ratio fixed, the properties of limiting SINR are studied. Under some weak conditions, the strong consistency and asymptotic normality of the SINR are obtained.the tools of large dimensional random matrices are mainly employed.

Abstract:We present a concentration result concerning random weighted projections in high dimensional spaces. As applications, we prove (1) New concentration inequalities for random quadratic forms; (2) The infinity norm of most unit eigenvectors of a random $\pm 1$ matrix is of order $O( \sqrt { \log n/n})$; (3) An estimate on the threshold for the local semi-circle law which is tight up to a $\sqrt {\log n}$ factor.

Abstract:In this paper, we establish some new central limit theorems for generalized U-statistics of dependent processes under some mild conditions. Such central limit theorems complement existing existing results available from both the econometrics literature and statistics literature. We then look at applications of the established results to a number of test problems in time series regression models.

Abstract:In 2021, Ejsmont and Biernacki showed that the free tangent distribution can be used to measure household satisfaction with durable consumer goods. This distribution arises as the limit of free random variables. This, new article serves as the theoretical introduction to the continuation of the research presented in the paper from 2021. We continue the study of the limit of specific quadratic forms in free probability, which is the first step towards constructing a new distribution for the evaluation of satisfaction with material affluence among household. We formulate a non-central limit theorem for weighted sums of commutators and square of the sums for free random variable. In addition we give the random matrix models for these limits.

Abstract:Some properties of quasi-probability are further discussed.The definitions and properties of quasi-random variable and its distribution function,expected value and variance are then presented.Markov inequality,Chebyshev's inequality and the Khinchine's law of large numbers on quasi-probability spaces are also proved.Then the key theorem of learning theory on quasi-probability spaces is proved,and the bounds on the rate of uniform convergence of learning process on quasi-probability spaces are constructed.The investigations will help lay essential theoretical foundations for the systematic and comprehensive development of the quasi-statistical learning theory.

Abstract:It is well known that, under some assumptions, the limit distribution of random block matrices and their partial transposition converges to the distributions of random variables in some noncommutative probability space. Using free probability theory, we obtain the relation between the free cumulants of the corresponding random variables. As an application, we are able to derive a new family of co-completely positive and k-positive maps by using the Wishart ensemble.

Abstract:Ultra-reliable low latency communications (uRLLC) is adopted in the fifth generation (5G) mobile networks to better support mission-critical applications that demand high level of reliability and low latency. With the aid of well-established multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) information theory, uRLLC in the future 6G is expected to provide enhanced capability towards extreme connectivity. Since the latency constraint can be represented equivalently by blocklength, channel coding theory at finite block-length plays an important role in the theoretic analysis of uRLLC. On the basis of Polyanskiy's and Yang's asymptotic results, we first derive the exact close-form expressions for the expectation and variance of channel dispersion. Then, the bound of average maximal achievable rate is given for massive MIMO systems in ideal independent and identically distributed fading channels. This is the study to reveal the underlying connections among the fundamental parameters in MIMO transmissions in a concise and complete close-form formula. Most importantly, the inversely proportional law observed therein implies that the latency can be further reduced at expense of spatial degrees of freedom.

Abstract:In this paper, we establish a local limit theorem for linear fields of random variables constructed from independent and identically distributed innovations each with finite second moment. When the coefficients are absolutely summable we do not restrict the region of summation. However, when the coefficients are only square-summable we add the variables on unions of rectangle and we impose regularity conditions on the coefficients depending on the number of rectangles considered. Our results are new also for the dimension 1, i.e. for linear sequences of random variables. The examples include the fractionally integrated processes for which the results of a simulation study is also included.

Abstract:We investigate exponential sums over singular binary quartic forms, proving an explicit formula for the finite field Fourier transform of this set. Our formula shares much in common with analogous formulas proved previously for other vector spaces, but also exhibits a striking new feature: the point counting function $a_p(E) = p + 1 - \#E(\mathbb{F}_p)$ associated to an associated elliptic curve makes a prominent appearance. The proof techniques are also new, involving techniques from elementary algebraic geometry and classical invariant theory. As an application to prime number theory, we demonstrate the existence of `many' 2-Selmer elements for elliptic curves with discriminants that are squarefree and have at most four prime factors.
