Abstract:In this paper, we prove the following automatic adjoint theorem: For any sequence spaces E ( X ) E(X) and F ( Y ) F(Y) , if E ( X ) E(X) has the signed-weak gliding hump property and A A is an infinite matrix which transforms E ( X ) E(X) into F ( Y ) F(Y) , then the transpose matrix A ′ A’ of A A transforms F ( Y ) β F(Y)^\beta into E ( X ) β E(X)^\beta , and for any x ∈ E ( X ) x\in E(X) and T ∈ F ( Y ) β T\in F(Y)^\beta , [ A x , T ] = [ x , A ′ T ] [Ax,T]=[x,A’T] . That is, the adjoint operator of A A automatically exists and is just the transpose matrix A ′ A’ of A A . From the theorem we obtain a class of infinite matrix topological algebras ( λ , μ ) (\lambda ,\mu ) , and prove also a λ \lambda -multiplier convergence theorem of Orlicz-Pettis type. The theorem improves substantially the famous Stiles’ Orlicz-Pettis theorem.

Abstract:In this paper, we generalize the Bochner-Kodaira formulas to the case of Hermitian complex (possibly non-holomorphic) vector bundles over compact Hermitian (possibly non-Kähler) manifolds. As applications, we get the complex analyticity of harmonic maps between compact Hermitian manifolds.

Abstract:In this paper, we give the complete description of maps on self-adjoint bounded operators on Hilbert space which preserve a triadic relation involving the difference of operators and either commutativity or quasi-commutativity in both directions. We show that those maps are implemented by unitary or antiunitary equivalence and possible additive perturbation by a scalar operator.

Abstract:Let A and B be unital C*-algebras, and let J ∈ A, L ∈B be Hermitian invertible elements. For every T ∈ A and S ∈ B, define Tj+ = J-1T*J and S+L = L-1S*L. Then in such a way we endow the C*-algebras A and B with indefinite structures. We characterize firstly the Jordan (J, L)-+-homomorphisms on C*-algebras. As applications, we further classify the bounded linear maps Φ: A →B preserving (J, L)-unitary elements. When A =B(H) andB =B(K), where H and K are infinite dimensional and complete indefinite inner product spaces on real orcomplex fields, we prove that indefinite-unitary preserving bounded linear surjectionsare of the form T → UVTV-1 (( )T ∈ B(H)) or T → UVT+V-1 (( )T ∈ B(H)),where U ∈ B(K) is indefinite unitary and, V: H → K is generalized indefinite unitary in the first form and generalized indefinite anti-unitary in the second one.Some results on indefinite orthogonality preserving additive maps are also given.

Abstract:This paper deals with the symplectic self-adjointness and residual spectral emptiness of upper triangular Hamiltonian operator matrices . First, for symplectic self-adjoint Hamiltonian operator H , based on detailed classification of point spectrum and residual spectrum , the symmetry about imaginary axis is given between , , deficiency spectrum , compression spectrum and approximate point spectrum . Second, by means of the spectral symmetry, the sufficient and necessary conditions are given for , and , respectively. Then, for , it is proved that H is symplectic self-adjoint, if H is defined with diagonal domain . Finally, for defined with diagonal domain, using the space decomposition, the sufficient and necessary conditions for and are described in detail, respectively, by line operator, null space, and range of inner elements.

We show that Φ preserves indefinite orthogonality, i.e.,$T^{\dag} S = 0 \Rightarrow \Phi (T)^{\dag} \Phi (S) = 0$ and$TS^{\dag} = 0 \Rightarrow \Phi (T)\Phi (S)^{\dag} = 0$ for any$T,S \in \mathcal{B}(H),$ if and only if there exist linear or conjugate linear bounded invertible operators U : H → K and V : K → H, which satisfy that both$U^{{{\dag}}} U$ and$V^{{{\dag}}} V$ are real scalar multiples of the identity, such that$\Phi (T) = UTV$ for all$T \in \mathcal{B}(H),$ where, for$R \in \mathcal{B}(H,K),R^{{\dag}} $ stands for the conjugate of R with respect to the indefinite inner products. A similar result is also true in the finite dimensional case if Φ(I) is assumed to be invertible.

Abstract:Let H be an infinite dimensional complex Hilbert space. Denote by B(H) the algebra of all bounded linear operators on H, and by I(H) the set of all idempotents in B(H). Suppose that Φ is a surjective map from B(H) onto itself. If for every λ ∈ -1,1,2,3, and A, B ∈ B(H),A-λB ∈I(H) ⇔ Φ(A) -λΦ(B) ∈I(H, then Φ is a Jordan ring automorphism, i.e. there exists a continuous invertible linear or conjugate linear operator T on H such that Φ(A) = TAT -1 for all A ∈ B(H), or Φ(A) = TA*T -1 for all A ∈ B(H); if, in addition, A-iB ∈I(H)⇔ Φ(A)-iΦ(B) ∈I(H), here i is the imaginary unit, then Φ is either an automorphism or an anti-automorphism.

Abstract:We will give an abstract characterization of an arbitrary self-adjoint weak$^*$-closed subspace of $\mathcal{L}(H)$ (equipped with the induced matrix norm, the induced matrix cone and the induced weak$^*$-topology). In order to do this, we obtain a matrix analogues of a result of Bonsall for $^*$-operator spaces equipped with closed matrix cones. On our way, we observe that for a $^*$-vector $X$ equipped with a matrix cone (in particular, when $X$ is an operator system or the dual space of an operator system), a linear map $\phi:X\to M_n$ is completely positive if and only if linear functional $[x_{i,j}]_{i,j}\mapsto \sum_{i,j=1}^n \phi(x_{i,j})_{i,j}$ on $M_n(X)$ is positive.

By invariants of certain functional values of operator products, we characterize some surjective maps on A. Abstract:Let A and B be (not necessarily unital or closed) standard operator algebras on complex Banach spaces X and Y, respectively. For a bounded linear operator A on X, the peripheral spectrum sigma(pi)(A) of A is defined by sigma(pi)(A) = {z is an element of sigma(A) : vertical bar z vertical bar = max(w is an element of sigma(A)) vertical bar w vertical bar}, where s (A) denotes the spectrum of A. Assume that F : A. B is a map and the range of F contains all operators with rank at most two. It is proved that the map F satisfies the condition that sigma(pi)(Phi(A)Phi(B) + Phi(B)Phi(A))= sigma(pi)(AB+ BA) for all A, B is an element of A if and only if either there exists an invertible operator T is an element of B(X, Y) such that Phi(A) = epsilon TAT(-1) for every A is an element of A; or X and Y are reflexive and there exists an invertible operator T. B(X*, Y) such that F(A) = eTA*T-1 for every A is an element of A, where epsilon is an element of{1,-1}. Let ‖B‖=∑i,j=1n|bij| for the matrix B=(bij(u))i,j=1n. We prove that HΦ,A is bounded from the Hardy space H1 to itself if ∫Rn|Φ(u)detA−1(u)|ln(1+‖A−1(u)‖n|detA−1(u)|)du<∞. Our result improves known results. In addition, we show that the above condition is optimal in the size condition.
