Abstract:Let $E(X)$ and $F(Y)$ be vector-valued sequence spaces and A be an operator-valued infinite matrix which maps $E(X)$ into $F(Y)$. In this paper, we establish the continuity and boundedness results for matrix A which generalize the scalar results.

Abstract:Let $(X,\tau_X)$ and $(Y,\tau_Y)$ be locally convex spaces, $c(X)$ and $c(Y)$ the $X$-valued and $Y$-valued convergent sequence spaces, respectively, $A_{ij} \in L(X,Y)$ and $A=(A_{ij})$ an operator-valued infinite matrix. In this paper, we characterize the matrix $A=(A_{ij})$ which transforms $c(X)$ into $c(Y)$. As its applications, we introduce the chi function $\chi$ on locally convex spaces, and show that a conservative matrix is conull if and only if $\chi$ (A)=0$.

Abstract:Let (X, tau(1)) and (Y, tau(2)) be two Hausdorff locally convex spaces with continuous duals X, and Y', respectively, L (X, Y) be the space of all continuous linear operators from X into Y, K (X, Y) be the space of all compact operators of L (X, Y). Let WOT and UOT be the weak operator topology and uniform operator topology on K (X, Y), respectively. In this paper, we characterize a full-invariant property of K (X, Y); that is, if the sequence space X has the signed-weak gliding hump property, then each; lambda-multiplier WOT-convergent series Sigma(i) T-i in K(X, Y) must be X-multiplier convergent with respect to all topologies between WOT and UOT if and only if each continuous linear operator T: (X, tau(1)) --> or (lambda(beta), sigma(lambda(beta),lambda)) is compact. Abstract:In this paper we present equivalence results for several types of unbounded operator functions. A generalization of the concept equivalence after extension is introduced and used to prove equivalence and linearization for classes of unbounded operator functions. Further, we deduce methods of finding equivalences to operator matrix functions that utilizes equivalences of the entries. Finally, a method of finding equivalences and linearizations to a general case of operator matrix polynomials is presented.

Abstract:We study an extension problem for continuous linear maps in the setting of $(LB)$-spaces. More precisely, we characterize the pairs $(E,Z)$, where $E$ is a locally complete space with a fundamental sequence of bounded sets and $Z$ is an $(LB)$-space, such that for every exact sequence of $(LB)$-spaces $$ 0 \rightarrow X \xrightarrow{\iota} Y \rightarrow Z \rightarrow 0$$ the map $$ L(Y,E) \to L(X, E), ~ T \mapsto T \circ \iota $$ is surjective, meaning that each continuous linear map $X \to E$ can be extended to a continuous linear map $Y \to E$ via $\iota$, under some mild conditions on $E$ or $Z$ (e.g. one of them is nuclear). We use our extension result to obtain sufficient conditions for the surjectivity of tensorized maps between Fréchet-Schwartz spaces. As an application of the latter, we study vector-valued Eidelheit type problems. Our work is inspired by and extends results of Vogt [24].

Abstract:Let ${\sf G}$ be a locally compact group, $\mathscr C\overset{q}{\to}{\sf G}$ a Fell bundle and $\mathfrak B=L^1({\sf G}\,\vert\,\mathscr C)$ the algebra of integrable cross-sections associated to the bundle. We give conditions that guarantee the automatic continuity of an intertwining operator $\theta:\mathcal X_1\to\mathcal X_2$, where $\mathcal X_1$ is a Banach $\mathfrak B$-bimodule and $\mathcal X_2$ is a weak Banach $\mathfrak B$-bimodule, in terms of the continuity ideal of $\theta$. We provide examples of algebras where this conditions are met, both in the case of derivations and algebra morphisms. In particular, we show that, if ${\sf G}$ is infinite, finitely-generated, has polynomial growth and $\alpha$ is a free (partial) action of ${\sf G}$ on the compact space $X$, then every homomorphism of $\ell^1_\alpha({\sf G},C(X))$ into a Banach algebra is automatically continuous.

Abstract:Let $X$ be a subset of a Hilbert space. We prove that if $v\colon X\to \mathbb{R}^m$ is such that \begin{equation*} \Big\lVert v(x)-\sum_{i=1}^m t_iv(x_i)\Big\rVert\leq \Big\lVert x-\sum_{i=1}^m t_ix_i\Big\rVert \end{equation*} for all $x,x_1,\dotsc,x_m\in\mathbb{R}^m$ and all non-negative $t_1,\dotsc,t_m$ that add up to one, then for any $1$-Lipschitz $u\colon A\to\mathbb{R}^m$, with $A\subset X$, there exists a $1$-Lipschitz extension $\tilde{u}\colon X\to\mathbb{R}^m$ of $u$ such that the uniform distance on $X$ between $\tilde{u}$ and $v$ is the same as the uniform distance on $A$ between $u$ and $v$. Moreover, if either $m\in \{1,2,3\}$ or $X$ is convex, we prove the converse: we show that a map $v\colon X\to\mathbb{R}^m$ that allows for a $1$-Lipschitz, uniform distance preserving extension of any $1$-Lipschitz map on a subset of $X$ also satisfies the above set of inequalities. We also prove a similar continuity result concerning extensions of monotone maps. Our results hold true also for maps taking values in infinite-dimensional spaces.

Abstract:We consider linear bounded operators acting in Banach spaces with a basis, such operators can be represented by an infinite matrix. We prove that for an invertible operator there exists a sequence of invertible finite-dimensional operators so that the family of norms of their inverses is uniformly bounded. It leads to the fact that solutions of finite-dimensional equations converge to the solution of initial operator equation with infinite-dimensional matrix.

Abstract:Generalizing a recent result on lineability of sets of non-injective linear operators, we prove, for quite general linear spaces $A$ of maps from an arbitraty set to a sequence space, that, for every $0 \neq f \in A$, the subset of $A$ of non-injective maps contains an infinite dimensional subspace of $A$ containing $f$. We provide aplications of the main result to spaces of linear operators between quasi-Banach spaces, to spaces of linear operators belonging to an operator ideal, and, in the nonlinear setting, to linear spaces of homogeneous polynomials and to linear spaces of vector-valued Lispshitz functions on metric spaces.

Abstract:We study mapping properties of two-dimensional linear integral operators in some weighted spaces with special kernels. The considered spaces are certain variant of Sobolev--Slobodetskii spaces and their generalizations related to Banach spaces. Abstract:We consider sequences of operators $U_n:L^1(X)\to M(X)$, where $X$ is a space of homogeneous type. Under certain conditions on the operators $U_n$ we give a complete characterization of convergence (divergence) sets of functional sequences $U_n(f)$, where $f\in L^p(X)$, $1\le p\le \infty$. The results are applied to characterize convergence sets of some specific operator sequences in classical analysis.

Abstract:We define and examine certain matrix-valued multiplicative functionals with local Kato potential terms and use probabilistic techniques to prove that the semigroups of the corresponding partial differential operators with matrix-valued coefficients are spatially continuous and have a jointly continuous integral kernel. These partial differential operators include Yang-Mills type Hamiltonians and Pauli type Hamiltonians, with "electrical" potentials that are elements of the matrix-valued local Kato class.

Abstract:By means of fixed point index theory for multi-valued maps, we provide an analogue of the classical Birkhoff--Kellogg Theorem in the context of discontinuous operators acting on affine wedges in Banach spaces. Our theory is fairly general and can be applied, for example, to eigenvalues and parameter problems for ordinary differential equations with discontinuities. We illustrate in details this fact for a class of second order boundary value problem with deviated arguments and discontinuous terms. In a specific example, we explicitly compute the terms that occur in our theory.

We introduce a general class of matrices. Then we establish necessary and sufficient conditions for the boundedness and compactness of the operators (A+f)i:=∑j=1iai,jfj, i ≥ 1 and (A-f)j:=∑i=j∞ai,jfi, j ≥ 1 corresponding to matrices in such classes by using the method of localization.
