Abstract:The introduction of utilitarianism and marginal revolution makes the economics paradigm shift to the neoclassical economics, but the utility theory as the core of the new paradigm was later understood as a psychological analysis.Based on analysis on the relationship between the nineteenth century economics and psychology,we can't find clear evidences that may show the relationship between the establishment and development of utility theory and psychology.Although the subjective value is the core of the neoclassical economics, there is no basis from psychology, which is precisely the fatal flaw of neoclassical economics.
