Abstract:The coordination issue is investigated in a supply chain with service level constraint. The supply chain consists of one risk-neutral supplier and one risk-averse retailer. Both inventory model and coordination model are established and the supply chain performance measure is presented for coordination under the Pareto optimal criterion. Sequentially, the practicability of cost sharing contracts is examined to show that it could not achieve the complete coordination but Pareto improvement. Furthermore, the difference is demonstrated between service level constraint and downside risk constraint so that a strong/weak risk aversion definition is proposed. Since the strong risk aversion is indicated to be one of difficulties in supply chain coordination, it is suggested avoiding these scenarios by policies.

First, we analyze the key constituents in the supply chain management from multi-agent and single agent's perspective. Then, a general negotiation model according to negotiation features of the supply chain is presented. In the model, we design a flexible protocol and analyze the agent's decision model.

Abstract:When economy transfers from tangible manufacturing to intangible services, it is extremely important to understand whether the lessons learned from manufacturing industries can be directly applied to service supply chains. This paper aims to compare traditional manufacturing industries with service supply chain sector and the results emphasize that the similarities and differences do exist between these two sectors — demonstrating that effective supply chain strategies in one sector may not be appropriate in the other sector. Based on the unique characteristics of service, this study builds a conceptual model of service supply chain.

Abstract:Services have become increasingly important as the driving force in the U.S. economy. However, there has been little research to date on services supply chains. It is believed that service businesses can benefit by applying some best practices from manufacturing to their processes. However, the inherent differences in services create a need for supply chain management tools specific to the services sector. This article documents the growing importance of the services sector and of services purchasing. Next, it develops a supply chain framework appropriate for a services supply chain by comparing and contrasting the applicability of three product‐based manufacturing models: Global Supply Chain Forum Framework, SCOR and Hewlett‐Packard's Supply Chain Management Model. Finally, this research describes the challenges for procurement professionals managing purchases for a services supply chain and provides suggestions for use of supply chain management theory, and practices for improvement.

Abstract:This paper starts from the analysis of the definition of supply chain, and compares the traditional cost management mode of Chinese enterprises with cost management mode based on supply chain by the method of comparison. The paper points out that the cost management based on supply chain, which aims at the improvement of customers' satisfaction and the market demand orientation, is a wholly new cost management method. This new management mode demands an effective coordination between upstream and downstream enterprises, and an extension of space and time of cost management from traditional workshop to the fields of development, design, supply and distribution. In the cost management strategies based on cost management, systematic planning and the integration of supply chain are the premises of success; the application of information technology is the guarantee of success; dynamic managed supply chain is an effective way to success; and the customer oriented target cost management technique is the priority of cost management.

Abstract:The main purpose of this research is to identify the configuration structure of a service supply chain from a view of modularity, to address the operations mechanism of the service supply chain from the perspective of service-dominant logic. Literature review and case study are adopted in this research. Data are mainly collected through interview and secondary documents. The results shown that the service supply chain is configured with different types of module actor. A framework is proposed with dimensions of Configuration and Co-creation to explain the operations mechanism of a service supply chain.

Abstract:Based on value chain supply chain management has become the chief management idea since 1980.This paper mainly focuses on inventory management, logistics planning, management of strategic partnership and Supply Chain Performance Measurement. Inventory management connects all parts of a supply chain management and greatly influences the efficiency of supply chain management. Inventory problem includes two parts: certainty and uncertainty problems. The assumption of certainty inventory is that the demand is fixed and continuous and the lead-time is certain. The assumption of uncertainty inventory is that the demand, the ordering cost and the lead-time are all stochastic and variable .The operation research methods are usually utilized to handle inventory problems. Logistics planning consists of three parts: layout planning, layout-assign problem and layout-route problem. Choosing the fit number and location of the facilities, rational assigning the tasks and planning the routes may lower the logistics costs and improve the efficiency of the supply chain and the speed of the response for the demands. Management of strategic partnership is an important research field of SCM. According to the core competition of enterprise, the decision maker chooses the outsourcing strategy. Management of vendor relationship is another chief field including choosing vendor, evaluating vendor and developing vendor.SCM performance measurement is the base of evaluating performance of nodal firms and total supply chain, coordinating the relationship of supply chain and distributing the benefits among the enterprises. The performance of internal and exterior of supply chain is core contents of measurement and establishment of evaluation index system is the key of measurement.Finally, this paper presents three tendency of supply chain management: green SCM, Agile Supply Chain and info-supply chain management.

Abstract:Different dominant advantages affect supply chain performance. This paper discusses four types of two-stage supply chain model under Stackelberg game by revenue sharing contract, considers a new parameter and enriches supply chain models in theory. Comparisons of reorder quantity, game process, different enterprises’ interests and total profit of supply chain are made, based on the equilibrium and each member’s profit. The result shows that whether the leading enterprise is supplier or retailer, as long as having absolute advantage, can the leader maximize its own profit, while achieving global optimization of the supply chain.

Abstract:E-business success in satisfying customers depends on the support of supply chain networks.By adopting dual-channel supply chains and Internet marketing,companies can increase customer demand,attract new customers,and enter new markets by lowering operational costs and reducing product prices.Previous studies examined pricing strategies and contract coordination in dual-channel supply chains.These studies were executed based on the assumption that all products in dual-channels are homogeneous.Therefore,the single product model cannot help illustrate competition complexity in dual-channel supply chains.This research overcomes the weakness of previous studies by using dual-channel demand model for two different products.We consider a dual-channel supply chain consisting of a manufacturer and a retailer.We assume that a manufacturer sells a single product via its retailers' traditional channels and Internet direct channels.Retailers purchase another heterogeneous product from other sales providers.In the first part,we presented two different demand models of a dual-channel supply chain with a single product and two various products.A customer's channel choice decisions depend on three major factors including product price,channel service and Internet acceptance.The feasible product pricing region of Internet channels and retailer channels with a single product was examined.Furthermore,the feasible pricing region of two differentiated products was presented correspondingly.The equilibrium results of decentralized dual-channel supply chain were discussed based on profit maximization and Stackelberg game.In the second part,we conducted a numerical experiment to discuss the impact of parameters of Internet channel acceptance and product differentiation on the profit of supply chain system and members.The result showed that product differentiation in dual-channel supply chains can lead to intensive competition and decreased system profit.Moreover,a higher degree of product differentiation can result in a higher profit for a leading manufacturer and a lower profit for following retailers in channel competition.In summary,more consumers are embracing multiple channels to satisfy diversified shopping needs.A faster growth in dual channel supply chains is prevalent in some industries.The difference in channel characteristics can significantly influence the performance of dual-channel supply chains.In comparison with retailers the dominant manufacturer is willing to choose the product differentiation strategy in dual-channel supply chains.
