Investigation and Analysis of Knowledge and Attitude on AIDS among Community Health Services Staff

Abstract:Objective To understand the knowledge,attitude and influencing factors related to AIDS among staff worked in health service centre of community in order to provide evidence for exerting positive effect of staff and preventing and controlling development of AIDS in community. Methods The quantitative study was used to investigate the knowledge,attitude related to AIDS. The qualitative and quantitative studies were used to explore the influencing factors on knowledge and attitude. Results The correct rate of the 83.4% of items about AIDS knowledge was above 54.1%,and the correct rate of the 16.6% items was under 30%. The main influencing factors on knowledge were the degree of leader's recognition and the character of job. The attitude of 85.2% of staff was ambiguity,their minds full of conflict. The attitude of 14.8% of staff was positive. When the role,gender,education,relation with the health centre and experience of training on AIDS were different,the attitude to AIDS were respectively different(P0.01). Conclusion The training of AIDS should be enhanced to the staff of health centre in community.
