Abstract:The preparation of a series of heterocycles obtained by the condensation of 4,5-diazafluoren-9-one with various amines is described with particular emphasis on bridged systems formed by the condensation of 4,5-diazafluoren-9-one with diamine compounds such as hydrazine. Due to sp2 hybridization of the nitrogen atom in the bridge, the protons in the two pyridine units of each bipyridine group are non-equivalent. The projection of a hydrogen atom from one of the pyridine rings into the ring current of an adjacent phenyl ring shifts the proton resonance upfield. Proton NMR resonances have been uniquely assigned for all the compounds and electronic absorptions have been attributed to π → π∗ transitions located in the ultraviolet region of the spectrum. Reduction of the heterocycles occurs at the imine nitrogen bridge and is irreversible, except for the ligand resulting from the condensation of 4,5-diazafluoren-9-one with hydrazine.

Abstract:Pyrazole compounds are one kind of heterocyclic compounds with extensive bioactivity,and lots of pyrazole compounds have been commercialized both in the region of medicament and pesticide.In the process of finding out some novel pyrazole compounds,a~d four novel pyrazole intermediates were synthesized.Taking diethyl oxalate as starting substance,the novel compounds can be synthesized via condensation,cyclic condensation,alkylation,(bromination) and hydrolysis reactions.The yield of products was about 78%-90%.Their structures were confirmed by elementary analysis,1H-NMR,MS and IR.

Abstract:N2,N2,N6,N6-Tetraethyl-4-hydroxymethylpyridine-2,6-dicarboxamide was synthesized using 2,6-dimethylpyridine as the starting material via oxidation with KMnO4,amidation and free-radical substitution on pyridine ring.The final product was obtained by oxidation of N2,N2,N6,N6-tetraethyl-4-hydroxymethylpyridine-2,6-dicarboxamide with the Sarret reagent and the factors influencing the reaction were discussed.The structure of target product was characterized by 1HNMR,IR and MS.The target product is an important organic intermediate for the synthesis of novel ligands containing pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid.

Abstract:Two novel bipyrazole derivative ligands L1 (4-(di(1H-pyrazol-1-yl)methyl)-N,N-diphenylaniline) and L2 (4-(di(1H-pyrazol-1-yl)methyl)-N,N-bis(4-ethoxy phenyl)aniline), were synthesized, and fully characterized. The crystal structures of the two ligands were confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The structural analysis revealed that two pyrazole units are attached to the same carbon atom connected with triphenylamine moiety. The UV-vis absorption and fluorescence spectral properties of the ligands were investigated and explained relying on theoretical calculation. Significantly, it was found that the ligands display an exclusively selective and sensitive response toward Fe(3+) with aid of UV-vis absorption spectroscopic methods.

Abstract:Using highly dilute method and 5-fold excess of diamine a new acyclic diamine containing pyridine moiety, N,N′-bis(2-aminoethyl)-2,6-pyridinedicarbamide (1a) was synthesized. Six novel linear polydentate Schiff base ligands containing pyridine and amide moieties, N,N′-bis[β-(R-substitutedbenzalimino)ethyl]-2,6-pyridinedicar-bamide (2a-2e), where R=H, o-OH, p-OH, m-NO2, p-N(CH3)2, and N,N′-bis(γ-salicylideneaminopropyl)-2,6- pyridinedicarbamide (2f) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV-Vis, MS and 1H NMR methods. The single-crystal analysis of 2e showed that it belongs to triclinic system with P-1 space group and the unit cell parameters: a=11.010(2) nm, b=13.865(3) nm, c=9.6537(19) nm, α=102.77(2) °, β=92.07(3)) °, γ=87.98(3)) °, V=1435.7(5) nm3, Z=2, Dc=1.230 mg·cm-3, Mr=531.66. In addition, microcalorimetric test of the inhibitory capacities of these compounds for E. coli has shown that they have antibacterial activity to different extent and that of salicylidene Schiff base is the best. The structure-activity relationship has been primarily discussed.

Abstract:In this article, we provide a new, efficient route to synthesize 2-[3-(3,4-bis(2-ethylhexyloxy)phenyl]phenyl pyridine ligand from readily available starting materials. The target compound was obtained by a condensation reaction and Suzuki coupling reaction. Structures of compounds were demonstrated by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and high-resolution mass spectrometry. The advantages of this synthetic route are simple operation, mild reaction conditions, and good yields.

Abstract:This paper uses basic-catalysed method to convert 1H-pyrazole-4-carboxamides into tri-fused heterocyclic systems containing two kinds of pyrazolotriazolopyrimidine framework. The synthesis of compounds 5-6 and reactions of them with some electrophiles have been investigated. Preliminary bioassay study showed that some compounds displayed high activity.

Abstract:The pyrrolo[2,3-b] pyridine core structure, a bioisostere of quinolones, is found in several molecules that possess important biological activity. We describe here a new, concise, three-step synthesis of pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridines starting from L-alanine. A series of 4,7-dihydro-4-oxo-1H-pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridine-5-carboxylic acid derivatives, which have not been previously reported, were synthesized using this approach.

Abstract:Two novel pyrazoline derivatives, named 2,8-bis(1,3-diphenyl-pyrazoline-5-yl)dibenzofuran (A) and 2,8-bis(1-(4-bromophenyl)-3-phenyl-pyrazoline-5-yl)dibenzofuran (B), were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, NMR, MS and thermogravimetric analysis. The absorption and emission spectra of them were determined by experimental methods in different polar solvents and were computed using the density functional theory (DFT) and the time-dependent density functional theory (TDDFT) at the same time. The calculated absorption and emission wavelengths are in good agreement with the experimental data. The fluorescence quantum yields and fluorescence lifetimes of them in different polar solvents were studied by means of steady state and time resolved fluorescence. The calculated reorganization energy for hole and electron indicates that the two compounds are in favor of hole transport than electron transport. The results show the two compounds present high fluorescence quantum yields and excellent thermal stability. It makes them of great interest as novel fluorescent probes and optoelectronic materials.

Abstract:Three new pi-conjugated pyridine ligands with redox-active tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) derivatives, L-1-L-3, have been synthesized and characterized. The Diels-Alder reaction is the key step for this multistep synthetic strategy. The crystal structures of L-1 and L-3 have been studied. The electrochemical and spectroscopic properties of these new ligands, as well as the corresponding tricarbonyl rhenium(I) complexes (ReL1(CO)(3)X, X = Cl, 5; X = Br, 6) have also been investigated. Abstract:A novel series of pyrrole-3-one derivatives were synthesized using furan-3-one derivatives and various aromatic amines. The synthesized compounds were identified by spectral studies such as IR, NMR and HRMS. Dielectric properties of the target compounds were experimentally determined by dielectric spectroscopy in the frequency range of 20 Hz − 1 MHz. The real part of the dielectric constant, dielectric loss tangent and conductivity of the samples were investigated as a function of applied frequency. Dielectric measurements showed Ata7 has the maximum dielectric constant at 1 kHz, while Ata1 has a negative dielectric constant value. When the result is evaluated with theoretical calculations, grain boundaries play an effective role in the experimental observed dielectric constant. Additionally, in this research the pyrrole-3-one derivatives (Ata1-9) were theoretically optimized and over these structures, NMR with GIAO (gauge-independent atomic orbital), UV with TD (time dependent), frontier orbitals (HOMO and LUMO), NLO (nonlinear optical properties) and MEP (molecular electrostatic potential) analysis were carried out. Quantum chemical computations were performed by Density Functional Theory (DFT) using B3LYP functional and 6-311++G (d,p) basis set. Later, the molecular docking analysis between Ata1-9 and two different receptors such as 3RZE and 3TDA was performed using AutoDock Vina program. Lastly, drug-likeness, physicochemical and ADME/T properties of the designed compounds were computed with the help of SwissADME online tool.Communicated by Ramaswamy H. Sarma

Abstract:A new pyridazine carboxyl derivative, 1-(3-carboxyphenyl)-5-methyl-4-oxo-1,4-dihydropyrida zine-3-carboxylic acid (C 13 H 10 N 2 O 5 , Mr = 274.06, abbreviate as H 2 (3-PDCA) ) has been synthesized by ethyl 3-aminobenzoate, its structure was determined by 1 H NMR, 13 C NMR, FT-IR and X-ray single crystal analysis. According to density functional theory, the reaction sites of title molecule were visualized in molecular electrostatic potential maps plot. Meanwhile, two d 10 metal coordination polymers had been constructed by title molecule under solvothermal conditions: [Cd(H 2 O)(3-PDCA)·2H 2 O] n ( SNUT-10 ) and {[Zn 3 (H 2 O) 10 (3-PDCA) 2 ][Zn(H 2 O) 2 (3-PDCA) 2 ]·8H 2 O} n ( SNUT-11 ). Single crystal X-ray analysis demonstrates that SNUT-10 features a 2D structure with ligands and metal atoms alternated. SNUT-11 exhibits an 2D unusual double layer architecture. In addition, the fluorescence properties of coordination polymers in the solid state were also investigated at room temperature.

Abstract:A series of symmetrically substituted diketopyrrolopyrrole derivatives were synthesized under mild conditions in good yields. All of the diketopyrrolopyrroles were characterized by 1H and 13C NMR, ultraviolet–visible and fluorescence spectroscopy, high resolution mass spectrometry and elemental analysis. The maximum absorption and emission bands showed gradual red-shift with the increase in electron donating strength of the 3,6-substituent. In addition, the optical properties of 4,4′-(2,5-bis(2-(2-(2-methoxyethoxy)ethoxy)ethyl)-3,6-dioxo-2,3,5,6-tetrahydropyrrolo[3,4-c]pyrrole-1,4-diyl)dibenzoic acid and 3,6-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)-2,5-bis(2-(2-(2-methoxyethoxy)ethoxy)ethyl)pyrrolo[3,4-c]pyrrole-1,4(2H,5H)-dione were investigated under alkaline conditions. The results demonstrated that 3,6-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)-2,5-bis(2-(2-(2-methoxyethoxy)ethoxy)ethyl)pyrrolo[3,4-c]pyrrole-1,4(2H,5H)-dione could be employed as an acid–base indicator. These diketopyrrolopyrroles derivatives have potential application in the synthesis of novel organic optoelectronic materials and in biological systems as a consequence of the increased water solubility.
