Abstract:An efficient synthesis of novel phenoxyimine ligands containing a difluorovinylbiphenyl group was based on the Suzuki coupling coupling of 4-bromo-2,6-difluoroaniline with 4-styrylboronic acid followed by a condensation reaction with various arylaldehydes. The structures were established by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR spectra and HRMS. The advantages of this synthetic route were its simple operation, mild reaction conditions and good yields.

Abstract:Seven new quinoxaline derivatives 3a-3g were synthesized through two steps convenient approach. Their structures were confirmed by Fourier transform infrared, proton nuclear magnetic resonance, and high-resolution mass spectrometry. The synthesized compounds 3a-3g showed good fluorescent intensity in dimethyl sulfoxide. They were also shown to possess good antifungal activities. The structure-activity relationship was studied by density functional theory calculations.

Abstract:A series of pyrazole-based 1,3,4-oxadiazole derivatives were rationally designed and synthesized in good yields by following a convenient route. All the newly synthesized molecules were fully characterized by IR, H-1 NMR and elemental analysis. Eight compounds were structurally determined by single crystal Xray diffraction analysis. The fluorescence properties of all the compounds were investigated in dimethyl sulfoxide media. In addition, these newly synthesized compounds were evaluated for in vitro inhibitory activity against commercial enzyme xanthine oxidase (XO) by measuring the formation of uric acid from xanthine. Among the compounds synthesized and tested, 3d and 3e were found to be moderate inhibitory activity against commercial XO with IC50 = 72.4 mu M and 75.6 mu M. The studies gave a new insight in further optimization of pyrazole-based 1,3,4-oxadiazole derivatives with excellent fluorescence properties and XO inhibitory activity. (C) 2015 Elsevier B.V. Abstract:Pyrazole compounds are one kind of heterocyclic compounds with extensive bioactivity,and lots of pyrazole compounds have been commercialized both in the region of medicament and pesticide.In the process of finding out some novel pyrazole compounds,a~d four novel pyrazole intermediates were synthesized.Taking diethyl oxalate as starting substance,the novel compounds can be synthesized via condensation,cyclic condensation,alkylation,(bromination) and hydrolysis reactions.The yield of products was about 78%-90%.Their structures were confirmed by elementary analysis,1H-NMR,MS and IR.

Abstract:A series of novel 5-(3-aryl-1H-pyrazol-5-yl)-2-(3-butyl-1-chloroimidazo[1,5-a]- pyridin-7-yl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole derivatives has been synthesized from 3-butyl-1-chloroimidazo[1,5-a]pyridine-7-carboxylic acid and ethyl 3-aryl-1H-pyrazole-5-carboxylate. The compounds were characterized using IR, (1)H NMR, HRMS and UV-vis absorption. The fluorescence spectral characteristics of the compounds in dichloromethane were investigated. The results showed that absorption λmax and emission λmax was less correlated with substituent groups on N-1 position of pyrazole moiety and para position of benzene moiety. The calculated molecular orbital correlates well with their absorption.

Abstract:Several new trifluoromethyl-1H-pyrazoles were prepared by reaction of hydrazine monohydrate with 1,3-diketones. Their structures were confirmed by elemental analysis, IR, H-1 NMR and EI-MS spectroscopy. The anti-microbial activities of the newly synthesized compounds were examined by disc diffusion method against Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Pyricularia oryzae and Rhizoctnia solani. Abstract:In order to explore new functional materials, a novel acylhydrazone with isoxazole and furan heterocycles was synthesized and thoroughly investigated by X-ray crystallography, UV and fluorescence spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry, thermoanalysis, density functional theory (DFT) and time-dependent density functional theory (TDDFT). The molecule has been demonstrated to crystallize in the monoclinic space group P21/c, with the unit cell parameters of (a=11.3522(19)Å, b=8.0700(14)Å, c=12.872(2)Å; α=90°, β=106.969(12)°, γ=90°). In addition, this compound shows characteristic UV absorption peaks at 205, 222 and 308nm, and fluorescence emission peak at 486.1nm, which according to our theoretic calculation can all be attributed to (p, π)→π∗ and π→π∗ intraligand charge-transfer transition (ILCT) respectively. According to our cyclic voltammetry result, an oxidation peak of the compound can be observed with onset oxidation potential (Eox) of 0.44V. Furthermore, the results of antibacterial activities indicate the compound has broad-spectrum against Bacillus subtilis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus, which can be supported by the molecular electrostatic potential (MEP). Therefore, this compound exhibits both antibacterial activity and photoluminescent property, namely difunctionality, suggesting that it has potential applications in many fields such as material science and photodynamic therapy.

Abstract:Seven new 3,5-diaryl-1H-pyrazoles were synthesized by the condensation of 1,3-diketones with hydrazine in ethanol, and characterized. The crystal structures for 3(5)-(4-tert-butylphenyl)-5(3)-(4-fluorphenyl)-1H-pyrazole (5) and 3-(4-tert-butylphenyl)-5-(6-methoxy-naphthalen-2-yl)-1H-pyrazole (7) have been determined by X-ray crystal structure analysis. The N–H…N intermolecular hydrogen bonds join the molecules into dimers. The NH proton of 5 is disordered, and its dimer is formed by the tautomers 5a5b or 5b5a. Compound 7 only exists as a 7a tautomer, and its dimer consists of the tautomers 7a7a.

Abstract:A pyrazole ring derivative 5-(4-fluorophenyl)-1 H pyrazole-3-amine was synthesized. The title compound was characterized by 1 H NMR, 13 C NMR, MS, FT-IR, and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The optimized molecular crystal structure was determined by B3LYP/6-311 + G(2d, p) functional method and based on density functional theory (DFT) calculation. Hirshfeld surface analysis illustrates the study of non-covalent interactions in the title compound. The molecular electrostatic potential (MEP) and major molecular orbitals (FMOs) of the title compounds were analyzed by computational method. Finally, infrared vibration analysis was performed on the target compound.

Abstract:The six new bis-1H-pyrazoles were synthesized by the cyclization of bis-β-diketones with hydrazine hydrate in methanol. Their structures were characterized by IR, 1HNMR, ESI-MS and elemental analysis. The fluorescence properties of these bis-1H-pyrazoles were studied in detail by UV–vis and fluorescence spectroscopic techniques. These compounds exhibited violet fluorescence emission at 392–398 nm and demonstrated high extinction coefficients. The results indicated that the fluorescence intensity and quantum yield could be significantly enhanced by introducing phenyl moieties into pyrazole ring. Especially, these bis-1H-pyrazoles exhibited large Stokes shifts (∆λ = 140−156 nm) due to the rotation of the π-conjugated substituent in their molecular structures. In addition, the crystal structure of the hydrate (a-H2O) for 2,6-dimethyl-3- (5-methyl-1H-pyrazol-3-yl)-5-(3-methyl-1H-pyrazol-5-yl)pyridine (a) was studied using X-ray crystal structure analysis. In the solid state, water molecules in dimers interact with adjacent bis-1H-pyrazole molecules through intermolecular hydrogen-bonding interactions to form a three-dimensional hydrogen bond network structure.

Abstract:From insight into the structure of trehazolin as trehalase inhibitor, six series of fluorine-containing phenylimino-thiazolidines (oxazolidines) derivatives were designed and prepared through a convenient synthesis of fluoroaryl isothiocyanate and a one-pot facile synthesis in high yield of fluorophenyl aminobenzoxazoles by cyclodesulfurization. The structures of the target compounds were confirmed with using IR, NMR, MS and elemental analysis. Their X-ray crystal analysis suggested that there were novel intermolecular (sp2CF⋯H3C) and intramolecular (sp2CF⋯HN) hydrogen bonds between the fluorine atom on benzene ring and hydrogen atom of methyl group or amino group on five-membered heterocycle. Their fungicidal activities against Rhizoctonia solani and Pyricuraria oryzae at 100ppm were determined.

Abstract:A new 1H-pyrazole compound:3(5)-(4-(benzyloxy)phenyl)-5(3)-(furan-2-yl)-1H-pyrazole(3) was synthesized from β-diketone and hydrazine hydrate.The composition and structure of the new compound were characterized by means of elemental analysis,IR,1HNMR and ESI-MS.A strong peak of dimeric ions + was observed in the ESI-MS spectra attributed to the formation of dimers by intermolecular N—H…N hydrogen bonds.

Abstract:A decarboxylative/dehydrofluorinative formal [3 + 2] cycloaddition aromatization of isoquinolinium N-ylides with difluoroenoxysilanes has been developed. This methodology provides a facile and straightforward synthetic pathway to afford highly functionalized fluorinated pyrrolo[2,1-a]isoquinolines in good to excellent yields under mild conditions. Moreover, gram-scale and synthetic derivatization experiments for the late-stage functionalization of drug molecules have also been demonstrated.

Abstract:<p>A method for the synthesis of polysubstituted 4-difluoromethyl and perfluoroalkyl pyrazole derivatives by the Lewis acid- and base-<em>co</em>-mediated reaction of perfluoroacetyl diazoester with ketones is reported. A series of structurally diverse 4-difluoromethylated and perfluoroalkylated pyrazoles were obtained in moderate to good yields. The reactions proceeded smoothly under mild conditions with wide functional group tolerance.</p>

Abstract:Nine novel pyrazole-acyl fluoro-substituted aromatic thiourea derivatives were synthesized from phenylhydrazine and ethyl acetoacetate.The intermediate 4 was prepared via a series of reactions involving cyclization, formylation,oxidation and acylation,and was subsequently reacted with amonium thiocyanate to generate the corresponding intermediate 5 with good yield in the presence of phase transfer catalyst PEG-600.The obtained intermidiate 5 was then reacted with fluoro-substituted anilines to form the desired pyrazole-acyl fluoro-substituted aromatic thiourea derivatives,and their structures were identified by IR,1H NMR and elemental analysis.Preliminary bioassays indicated that compounds 6a,6b,6d,6e,6f,6g, 6h and 6i showed inhibitory activities(100%) against Rhizoctonia sasakii,and compound 6e showed inhibitory activities(98.2%) against Gibberella zeae at a concentration of 50 mg/L.

Abstract:A phenazine-1-carboxylic acid intermediate was synthesized from the reaction of aniline and 2-bromo-3-nitro-benzoic acid. It was then esterified and reacted with hydrazine hydrate to afford phenazine-1-carboxylic hydrazine. Finally, 10 new hydrazone compounds 3a–3j were obtained by the condensation reaction of phenazine-1-carboxylic acid hydrazide and the respective aldehyde-containing compound. The structures were characterized by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy, MS and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The antitumor activity of the target compounds in vitro (HeLa and A549) was determined by thiazolyl blue tetrazolium bromide. The results showed that compound (E)-N′-(2-hydroxy-4-(2-(piperidine-1-yl) ethoxy) benzyl) phenazine-1-carbonyl hydrazide 3d exhibited good cytotoxic activity.

Abstract:Two novel pyrazoline derivatives, named 2,8-bis(1,3-diphenyl-pyrazoline-5-yl)dibenzofuran (A) and 2,8-bis(1-(4-bromophenyl)-3-phenyl-pyrazoline-5-yl)dibenzofuran (B), were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, NMR, MS and thermogravimetric analysis. The absorption and emission spectra of them were determined by experimental methods in different polar solvents and were computed using the density functional theory (DFT) and the time-dependent density functional theory (TDDFT) at the same time. The calculated absorption and emission wavelengths are in good agreement with the experimental data. The fluorescence quantum yields and fluorescence lifetimes of them in different polar solvents were studied by means of steady state and time resolved fluorescence. The calculated reorganization energy for hole and electron indicates that the two compounds are in favor of hole transport than electron transport. The results show the two compounds present high fluorescence quantum yields and excellent thermal stability. It makes them of great interest as novel fluorescent probes and optoelectronic materials.
