Culture of Organization,Mode of Decision Making and Efficiency of Organization:Based on Comparative Study of Sino-Japanese Hotel Groups

Abstract:Organization efficiency is the consequence of many factors,whereas the organization culture plays a vital role with the decision-making mode as the medium.The comparative analysis on Sino-Japanese hotel groups shows that:the organizational culture is one of the main reasons bringing forth the wide gap of organizational efficiency between Chinese and Japanese enterprises,and the decision-making model is the key to the black box that organizational culture results in significantly different organizational efficiency as a partial mediator in the relationship.China is a kind of collectivism within the groups of collectivism,while Japan is the community-based collectivism.The difference makes the two countries tend to paternalistic mode of decision-making and collective decision-making model respectively and ultimately leads to a striking difference in organizational efficiency in their enterprises.
