Abstract:Foreign scholars have paid increasing attention to gaming tourism.This paper attempts to contribute to extant gaming tourism literature by providing a comprehensive understanding on gaming tourism literature.Through reviewing both theoretical and empirical studies on gaming tourism at top tier journals-Annals of Tourism Research,Tourism Management etc.-and the studies which are widely cited,this paper concludes that Impacts of Gaming Tourism、Gaming Tourists and Management and operations of Gaming Enterprises are the main research areas in the past decades.Based on our review,useful implications are identifi ed and several directions for future research are presented.

Abstract:Sustainable consumption and production is identified as one of the essential requirements for sustainable development. Due to different economic conditions and socio-cultural factors, sustainable consumption and production requires a diverse focus in developing and developed economies. To date, few efforts have been made to systematically compare the status of sustainable consumption and production and its direction from the perspective of developing and developed economies. This paper provides a literature review of published articles in international scientific journals related to sustainable consumption and production between 1998 and 2018 inclusive. Three carefully designed questions are proposed and answered in this article, forming the basis for conducting a comprehensive comparative analysis of the differences and challenges in sustainable consumption and production practices within developed and developing economies. The findings strongly suggest that countries in Europe hold international leadership in sustainable consumption and production practices. This finding, alongside others, is analyzed and discussed in greater detail in this paper, resulting in the articulation of gaps and future research opportunities in the current body of the literature.

Abstract:Literature review is part and parcel of scholarly research. Though many literature review guides are available, they remain limited because they do not adequately account for the different types of literature review. Noteworthily, literature reviews can manifest as part of conceptual or empirical studies, or as independent studies, in which the latter may be curated in various ways. Moreover, despite its importance and popularity, literature reviews, particularly as independent studies, continue to attract unfair criticism and remain scarce in service research. To address the aforementioned gaps, this article endeavors to provide an overview and guidelines for writing literature reviews. Specifically, this article explains (1) what a literature review is and is not, (2) why literature reviews are valuable, and (3) how to conduct a literature review, as well as (4) the areas of service research and (5) the innovative ways in which literature reviews can be curated in the future.

Abstract:The quality and success of academic work are closely linked to the literature review process. A literature review is essential to any scientific research study, which entails an in-depth analysis and synthesis of the existing literature and studies related to the research topic. The literature review process thoroughly searches various databases and sources to ensure the review is comprehensive and up to date. The primary objective of this article is to provide an overview of the literature review process in scientific research, its importance in research methodology, and its different types. It also aims to discuss the purpose of conducting a literature review in research, the methods involved, and the significance of having access to relevant literature. Additionally, it provides guidelines for early career researchers on how to conduct a comprehensive literature search. A literature search was conducted in major databases and supplemented by browsing journals and citations with relevant keywords. There are four main types of literature reviews: traditional or narrative, systematic, meta-analysis, and meta-synthesis. By conducting a literature review, researchers gain a deep understanding of the research landscape, identify potential biases and limitations, and contribute to developing knowledge in their field of study. Executing a literature search is fruitless unless researchers possess fundamental knowledge about it. Hence, collecting literature for the literature review is an indispensable step that requires a comprehensive search of various databases and sources, such as academic journals, books, conference proceedings, and other relevant publications. Abstract:Purpose This study aims to expand tourism knowledge by analysing literature review articles published in English Web of Science (WOS) and Chinese China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) language journals and reviewing their influence, interconnection and trends. Design/methodology/approach A three-stage method was designed to understand the tourism research progress. Performance analysis identified the publication timeline, high-yielding journals and authors that published tourism literature reviews and frequently cited papers. Science mapping visualisation examined the intrinsic connections between co-authorship and co-institution. Finally, emerging trend analysis explored the topic modelling and evolution through Latent Dirichlet allocation (LDA) and regression. Findings The key statistics and collaborations relationships of tourism literature reviews were traced. LDA identified 45 and 22 topics, which narrowed the barriers in tourism studies. The regression analysis divided these topics into "hot", "fresh", "bell-shaped" and "stable" patterns. These modes represent the progress of tourism studies. The topic "new emerging technologies and the internet" is the focus of tourism literature reviews published in both databases. Future research could pay more attention to the topics in the "hot" and "fresh" patterns. The results enrich the progress of tourism literature reviews and provide a direction for future research. Originality/value To the best of the authors' knowledge, this study is the first literature analysis for tourism literature reviews published in WOS versus CNKI journals. The proposed three-stage systematic method is used for the first time for the literature review and can guide future research.

Abstract:Destination perception has become a focus of tourism research which attracted numbers of tourism researchers.The research of perception is originated from international academic environment.So it has a long research history,fast development and abundant results in the international academic publications.Within these abundance works,some new ideas and new research methods could be good reference to domestic researchers.Using a wide variety of English sources,mainly from international leading tourism literatures,this paper comprehensively reviews and analyses the history,research methods,scopes and main research areas of destination perception.The paper defines four research stages of destination perception research and points out the characteristics of each research phase.The most used research methods and important areas are also reviewed in chronologic order.This paper points out the development of the research methods are firstly using simple qualitative method and then quantitative and becoming comprehensive qualitative with quantitative contemporary.The different research focuses and thoughts from these two aspects are presented in a comprehensive way in the paper.In the last part,this paper projects future research trend of the international destination perception research and the suggestions for domestic research according to the applicability of the domestic research environment.A major contribution of this paper is its overview of the research and development efforts that have been endeavored in the field,and the challenges that tourism researchers are,and will be,facing.

Abstract:There are many complicated factors that influence brand loyalty.Brand experience is a key factor among them.The effect towards brand loyalty made by brand experience can be divided into directly driving effect and indirectly moderating effect.Both of these two effects have greatly practical significance for enterprise to actualize brand loyalty strategy.Combining with foreign interrelated literatures,this paper sets forth the connotation and measuring dimensions of brand experience.Then,it makes literature review on relation between brand experience and brand loyalty,basing on the two effects-driving effect and moderating effect made by brand experience.And then,it brings forward the future research directions and sums up in the end.

Abstract:Here we discuss the role and importance of a literature review article in advancing a subject area. We outline the contributions we selected and their methodologies. It was found that framework-based reviews using a framework such as TCCM (Theory, Context, Characteristics, Methods) or ADO (Antecedents, Decisions and Outcome) are increasingly popular and can be more useful than other types of reviews, such as bibliometric or narrative, in some circumstances. The reviews also set out the theoretical and practical implications for business and management in the Asia Pacific as well as detailed future research agendas based on research gaps. Of course reviews themselves have their own limitations and biases, not least they are not original fieldwork or research and so are following well-worn, not new, paths. Yet, the importance and impact of 'blue skies' research should not be forgotten. Nevertheless, they do serve important purposes, including limiting the 'reinvention of the wheel' phenomenon while supporting future research work.
