Abstract:Increasing technology alliances have to the current trend of innovation, from isolation to alignment, from relying on internal resources to acquiring external resources. Based on the significance of technology alliances, the article reviewed the methods and databases in common use of studying technology alliances, and three empirical study conclusions were gained. At the end of the paper, research shortages and future research directions were pointed out.

Abstract:A remarkable feature of recent technological trend is overlapping and merging of distinct technologies,i.e.,technological convergence,which is expected to dominate the next-generation innovation.We firstly sketch out the trend and hotspots of studies on technological convergence by using bibliometrics and co-word network analysis.Then,research topics such as definitions,measurements and processes of technological convergence and converging innovation were analyzed and summarized through a systematic literature review.We found the definition of technological convergence has been basically clarified,and the measurement of technological convergence has attracted the most widespread attention,but research results on other aspects of technological convergence are shallow,dispersal and disjointed at the current stage.To support the development of technological convergence and relevant S&T policies,opening the "black box" of the technological convergence process is one of the most urgent problems,and scholars also urgently need to carry out studies on identification,forecast and innovation of technological convergence.

Abstract:This study uses bibliometrics,topic modeling,and social network analysis to conduct a comprehensive literature review.The aim is to provide a systematic and objective analysis of the quantitative methods in the technology foresight;it also tries to identify the quantitative foresight methods and the research questions on technology foresight and their evolutionary trends.It is found that the exploratory method is still the dominant approach for predicting the future development,which is limited to the path-dependent progressive innovation.Recently,studies use combined methods based on data mining that can identify the future uncertainty oriented disruptive technology and its path transition,which has become an emerging approach for technology foresight.

Abstract:The significant change of the market and technology environment faced by enterprises is providing much more innovation opportunities.Knowledge search is an important way of effectively identifying innovation signals and holding innovation opportunities.Enterprise must construct their knowledge search system themselves.Firstly,the paper defines the boundaries of knowledge search,then presents four knowledge search patterns based on analysis of influencing factors of knowledge search and explores its impact on firm's technological innovation.Results provide important reference value for enterprise constructing knowledge search system.

Abstract:Technological learning is central to innovation capability building.There is little analysis of how firms in China to learn technology.It is therefore useful to have the literature review to examine previous studies.The most revealing studies in China tend to examine industry-level processes of technological learning,rather than firm-level strategies and methods.Access to external technology and competitive surrounding environment is assumed to be essential for corporate learning and inno-vation.Regarding mechanisms of technological learning,imitation and OEMs have several disadvan-tages,however,it would be wrong to understate the importance of these mechanisms.

Abstract:The rapid growth of patent documents has called for the development of sophisticated patent analysis tools. Currently, there are various tools that are being utilized by organizations for analyzing patents. These tools are capable of performing wide range of tasks, such as analyzing and forecasting future technological trends, conducting strategic technology planning, detecting patent infringement, determining patents quality and the most promising patents, and identifying technological hotspots and patent vacuums. This literature review presents the state-of-the-art in patent analysis and also presents taxonomy of patent analysis techniques. Moreover, the key features and weaknesses of the discussed tools and techniques are presented and several directions for future research are highlighted. The literature review will be helpful for the researchers in finding the latest research efforts pertaining to the patent analysis in a unified form.

Abstract:What do we know about technological innovation of firms in China? What are the directions for future research on this topic? This paper summarizes and discusses some of the newest literature on technological innovation of firms in China in the following three ways: (1) the influence of firms’ external factors, (2) the influence of firms’ internal factors, and (3) interfirm cooperation factors. Based on the analysis of these articles, we propose a framework which highlights these influencing factors, decision-making and implementation of technological innovation and innovation performance, in the context of China’s emerging economy. This framework sheds lights on future innovation research.

Abstract:Will small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in emerging economies search more deeply or search more broadly for product innovation at high levels of environmental turbulence? In answering this question, unlike prior studies that treat search depth and search breadth as separate variables to measure firms' external knowledge search strategy, this study introduces a new concept, external search towards depth-dominance, to capture the trade-off between search depth and search breadth for SMEs in a resource-constrained context. Using data on 491 Chinese manufacturing SMEs, we find that SMEs search more deeply at high levels of technological and market turbulence. Moreover, the positive relationship between perceived technological turbulence (or perceived market turbulence) and external search towards depth-dominance is stronger when the differentiation propensity of a firm's competitive strategy is lower. The findings contribute to the understanding of innovation search in a resource-constrained context and the context specificity of innovation search.

Abstract:Digitization and greening have become the characteristics of social and economic development. Digital technology, as a critical enabler of green supply chain management, has been widely considered and recognized by academia and business circles. With the advent of the Industry 4.0 era and the rapid development of digital technology, this emerging field of technology is constantly being updated, and so the academic research in this field is increasing but has yet to reach saturation. We systematically reviewed 144 relevant papers published in the last 14 years. We used qualitative analysis to classify, summarize and analyze the literature in two dimensions (i.e., digital technologies and green supply chain practices). Then, we continued the classification from each dimension. According to the basic characteristics, there are five digital technologies: the Internet of Things, big data, cloud computing, blockchain, and artificial intelligence. The green supply chain is divided into green procurement, green production, green consumption, and green logistics according to the essential practices of the supply chain. This study explores which digital technologies are needed in a green supply chain. The study also discusses how these technologies can reduce the input of resources and energy and the emission of pollutants, finally improving the operating efficiency of the green supply chain, and achieving economic, social, and environmental benefits.

Abstract:Technology Acceptance Model is widely applied to access users’ usage in various information system/information technology areas. Learning the critical role of Technology Acceptance Model can guide researchers to design different users’ interface for different online customers, and consequently achieve high user usage in different application areas. This study reviewed 24 studies to understand the past, now and future of Technology Acceptance Model. We discussed the related studies to clarify the extension of Technology Acceptance Model. Besides, the application areas are elaborated including electronic service, mobile data service, self-service technology, electronic learning and so on. Finally, the article concluded the conclusions and future research direction.

Abstract:Technology education in early childhood education (ECE) has only recently been established internationally as a curriculum content area. The interdisciplinary character of technology education and its status as a field under development occasion a need to distinguish and define technology in the merging of disciplines. This literature review presents an overview of technology education in ECE in recent empirical studies. The literature review was carried out systematically, resulting in 23 studies that were scrutinised to present an overall picture regarding study design, findings and how technology is characterised. The analysis of the nature of technology in the reviewed studies builds on DiGironimo's (Int J Sci Education, 33(10):1337–1352. https://doi.org/10.1080/09500693.2010.495400, 2011) conceptual framework, representing five distinct but merging dimensions of an ever-changing human technological creation process. In the synthesised findings, four subthemes derived from the studies' overall themes were identified: two focusing on preschool teachers and pre-service teachers, and two focusing on technology activities with children. The aligned outcomes are discussed concerning the conceptual dimensions of technology, along with possibilities, challenges and implications for the current field of research on technology education in ECE.

Abstract:The harmony search (HS) algorithm is one of the most popular meta-heuristic algorithms. The basic idea of HS was inspired by the music improvisation process in which the musicians continuously adjust the pitch of their instruments to generate wonderful harmony. Since its inception in 2001, HS has attracted the attention of many researchers from all over the world, resulting in a lot of improved variants and successful applications. Even for today, the research on improved HS variants design and innovative applications are still hot topics. This paper provides a detailed review of the basic concept of HS and a survey of its latest variants for function optimization. It also provides a survey of the innovative applications of HS in the field of intelligent manufacturing based on about 40 recently published articles. Some potential future research directions for both HS and its applications to intelligent manufacturing are also analyzed and summarized in this paper.

Abstract:While the technology of information retrieval developing quickly,the field of our research is also extending day after day.And some fields run into our sight with urgency.Intranet search,especially Enterprise search,a new field in information retrieval,is a such kind of examples.However,in comparing to the pressing requirement and large potential market,little has been addressed to this in current research.Due to the differences with the general search task,the general search technologies cannot be applied to this field directly.In this paper,properties and some algorithms of intranet search are illustrated in order to find out the difference between general Web information retrieval and intranet search.Some of the conceivable applications and technologies from two aspects are given as well.
