Study of Pre-Hospital Emergency Nurses' Job Stressors

Abstract:Objective To explore the level and the reasons of the pre-hospital emergency nurses' job stress,so as to help the managers and the nurses' to look on the job stress correctly and try to alleviate it to improve the quality of nursing and keep nurses' mind and body health.Method Using the method of questionnaire to investigate nurses' job stress in pre-hospital emergency service.Results Ninety-eight percent of the stresses were above the moderate level,focusing on the aspects of nursing profession and job itself.Main stressors included poor working environment,over frequent working shift,low income,rare chances of promotion,low social status,limited chances of continuing education,anxiety about the accidence,overload work,lack of understanding and respect from other staffs and much more no nursing work.Conclusion The findings suggest that the pre-hospital emergency nurse job stress is great and effective stress management strategies should be implemented to alleviate job stress.
