On Some Thinking of Research Evaluation of Philosophy and Social Science for China's Colleges and Universities

Abstract:Colleges and universities as the most important forces in the front of philosophy and social science in China,have made great contributions to the understanding of the world,to the heritage of civilization,to the innovation theory,to the education of people,and to social services,etc.However,due to the utilitarian benefits and results-driven,the evaluation system is not perfect,which shows that the philosophy and social science theory of institutions of higher learning loose integration of with realities,the researches of portability,interpretive,explanatory take the most with lack of innovation,research potentialities,strength and effectiveness play not enough.One of the numerous reasons is due to the evaluation of the results.Therefore,how to evaluate research results scientifically,objectively and fairly,how to establish and perfect the evaluation mechanisms,evaluation criteria and evaluation system of the philosophy of social science research,has become imperative and major theoretical and practical issues for the development of philosophy and social sciences.This paper,after briefly reviewing the evaluation status of philosophy and social sciences at home,and it bases on the case study of analysis of the United Kingdom,United States,Finland and other countries,in the perspective of the quality-oriented principles,philosophy and social science evaluation of the subject,philosophy and social science standards evaluation criteria,the implementation of differentiated evaluation of philosophy and social science research,puts forward some suggestions of how to establish and improve the integrity and fair evaluation system,so as to develop new ideas,to enhance research quality,and to promote the further prosperity and development of philosophy and social sciences of higher education in China.
