Clinical Outcome of Single-bundle Posterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction with Remnant-preserving and Graft Tension-Relieving Technique

Abstract:Objective To study the clinical outcome of single-bundle posterior cruciate ligament(PCL)reconstruction with remnant-preserving and graft tension-relieving technique.Methods From December 2008 to December 2011,18 cases of PCL reconstruction were performed in our institute with remnant-preserving and graft tension-relieving technique.The IKDC,Lysholm,and Tegner scores,and posterior displacement were compared before and after operation.Results After operation,the IKDC,Lysholm and Tegner scores significant increased from 48.2,51.9,and 3.0 to 88.5,92.9,and 5.1,respectively;and posterior displacement significant decreased from 8.8mm to 1.9mm.Conclusions PCL reconstruction with remnant preservation and graft tension relieving technique showed good clinical results and posterior knee stability.
