Abstract:For the n-dimensional integrable system with a twisted so(p,q) reduction, Darboux transformations given by Darboux matrices of degree 2 are constructed explicitly. These Darboux transformations are applied to the local isometric immersion of space forms with flat normal bundle and linearly independent curvature normals to give the explicit expression of the position vector. Some examples are given from the trivial solutions and standard imbedding T^n\to R^{2n}.

The lowest degree of the Darboux transformation is 2(2n+1) if all the spectral parameters are complex, or 2n+1 if one spectral parameter is real. Abstract:Darboux transformation for the 2+1-dimensional nonlocal Schrödinger equation is constructed by the Darboux matrix method. Abstract:For the two-dimensional Toda equations corresponding to the Kac-Moody algebras C(l)((1)) and D(l+1)((2)), the Darboux transformations with a special choice of spectral parameters are constructed so that the degree of these Darboux transformations is half of that for usual Darboux transformations and the derived solutions become simpler. These Darboux transformations for a Lax pair are constructed from real solutions of itself or a slightly different Lax pair corresponding to the same Toda equation, depending on the parity of l. Exact solutions of these Toda equations are presented by simplifying the results derived from the Darboux transformations.

Abstract:In this paper we construct Darboux transformations and Bäcklund transformations for the supersymmetric two-boson hierarchy. Three Darboux transformations and associated Bäcklund transformations are obtained. For one of them, we also work out the corresponding nonlinear superposition formula. We build, for both the supersymmetric two-boson equation and the $N=2$ , $a=4$ supersymmetric KdV equation, their one-soliton solutions and present their semi-discrete versions.

Abstract:The Darboux transformations for the two dimensional elliptic affine Toda equations corresponding to all seven infinite series of affine Kac-Moody algebras, including $A_l^{(1)}$, $A_{2l}^{(2)}$, $A_{2l-1}^{(2)}$, $B_l^{(1)}$, $C_l^{(1)}$, $D_l^{(1)}$ and $D_{l+1}^{(2)}$, are presented. The Darboux transformation is constructed uniformly for the latter six series of equations with suitable choice of spectral parameters and the solutions of the Lax pairs so that all the reality symmetry, cyclic symmetry and complex orthogonal symmetry of the corresponding Lax pairs are kept invariant. The exact solutions of all these two dimensional elliptic affine Toda equations are obtained by using Darboux transformations.
On Darboux theorems for geometric structures induced by closed forms

Abstract:This work reviews the classical Darboux theorem for symplectic, presymplectic, and cosymplectic manifolds (which are used to describe regular and singular mechanical systems), and certain cases of multisymplectic manifolds, and extends it in new ways to k-symplectic and k-cosymplectic manifolds (all these structures appear in the geometric formulation of first-order classical field theories). Moreover, we discuss the existence of Darboux theorems for classes of precosymplectic, k-presymplectic, k-precosymplectic, and premultisymplectic manifolds, which are the geometrical structures underlying some kinds of singular field theories. Approaches to Darboux theorems based on flat connections associated with geometric structures are given, while new results on polarisations for (k-)(pre)(co)symplectic structures arise.

Abstract:In 1+2 dimensions, some Darboux operators have been constructed before. In this paper, all the nondegenerate Darboux operators of first order are given for quite general Lax pairs without reduction. They take the form which is already known. The Darboux operators or Darboux matrices in 1+1 dimensions are discussed as special cases.

Abstract:<p>In this paper, we mainly investigate two-fold Darboux transformation and N-fold Darboux transformation in terms of ratio of ordinary determinant for the (2+1)-dimensional nonlocal nonlinear Schrödinger-Maxwell-Bloch equations with reverse-space. It should be mentioned that the questions of one-fold Darboux transformation addressed, results of one-fold Darboux transformation proved, as well as style of analysis borrow heavily, but the determinant representation involved to cope with higher-order Darboux transformation is nontrivial. By utilizing symbolic computation, some explicit solutions including periodic waves solutions, soliton solutions and complexion solutions are obtained for two-fold Darboux transformation. Choosing particular parameters, figures are plotted to show the propagations and interactions of various types of solitons, such as periodic waves, bright soliton, dark soliton, antidark soliton, two-peak bright soliton, two-peak dark soliton and two-peak antidark soliton.</p>

Corresponding solutions are derived by using the Bäcklund transformation in bilinear form. It has been shown that these transformations are auto-Bäcklund transformations for isospectral problems while not for nonisospectral ones.

Abstract:We present the Darboux transformations for a novel class of two-dimensional discrete integrable systems named as $\mathbb{Z}_\mathcal{N}$ graded discrete integrable systems, which were firstly proposed by Fordy and Xenitidis within the framework of $\mathbb{Z}_\mathcal{N}$ graded discrete Lax pairs very recently. In this paper, the $\mathbb{Z}_\mathcal{N}$ graded discrete equations in coprime case and their corresponding Lax pairs are derived from the discrete Gel'fand-Dikii hierarchy by applying a transformation of the independent variables. The construction of the Darboux tranformations is realised by considering the associated linear problems in the bilinear formalism for the $\mathbb{Z}_\mathcal{N}$ graded lattice equations. We show that all these $\mathbb{Z}_\mathcal{N}$ graded equations share a unified solution structure in our scheme.

Abstract:Two Darboux transformations of the (2+1)-dimensional Caudrey–Dodd–Gibbon–Kotera–Sawaka (CDGKS) equation and (2+1)-dimensional modified Korteweg-de Vries (mKdV) equation are constructed through the Darboux matrix method, respectively. N-soliton solutions of these two equations are presented by applying the Darboux transformations N times. The right-going bright single-soliton solution and interactions of two and three-soliton overtaking collisions of the (2+1)-dimensional CDGKS equation are studied. By choosing different seed solutions, the right-going bright and left-going dark single-soliton solutions, the interactions of two and three-soliton overtaking collisions, and kink soliton solutions of the (2+1)-dimensional mKdV equation are investigated. The results can be used to illustrate the interactions of water waves in shallow water.
