Abstract:With the development of society, embedded products have been applied in all walks of life. According to the investigation of most embedded Windows CE data acquisition system, data transmission and storage management are not very good. In this paper we show how the USB interface and SQLite can be used to solve these problems. Using USB bus for data transfer, we can realize HID devices loaded dynamically and avoid writing redundant complicated USB drive. Using embedded database SQLite for data storage, the storage structure is more clear and easier to be managed. But Nandflash is limited to the number of reading and writing, so we put forward "two levels storage" concept of data storage structure based on the WinCE file system. Practice has shown that the USB and SQLite technology can be better to solve the data transfer and storage management issues.

Abstract:The paper designs a module of data storage with U-Disk based on index file. It meets the fast storing requirement of a great deal of original data gained in the on-line profile measurement system of spiral weld steel pipe with large diameter. The module consists of DSP control system and extended USB host chip named CH375. It realizes the function of data storage in the U-Disk, using the program that embedded in DSP. A format of data storage based on index file is applied to improve the speed of file storage, and it leaves out the searching work of FAT area and root area on the U-Disk. Experiments show that the module is stable and has excellent transplantation. The module can be used in many other systems that need the function of fast data storage.

Abstract:Aiming at the problem of the currently popular embedded operating system WinCE.NET,that is not fully supporting USB floppy driver,an implementing strategy for USB floppy based on WinCE.NET is put forward.By adopting stream interface driver model,the USB floppy driving program is developed;The control of USB floppy is implemented with UFI technology.The method and whole procedures for formatting USB floppy are given;the program has been applied successfully in ARM9-based multi-functional computerized embroidery machine.The program is simple and easy to use;it is good reference for developing driving program for similar USB devices.

Abstract:To enhance flexibility of embed system,USB floppy driver is developed under WinCE.NET,based on the structure of stream interface driver,the characteristics of load mechanism of stream interface driver,UFI technology is used to control USB floppy,USB floppy format method and detailed process are presented finally.The driver has been successfully applied in the regional water monitoring and measuring instrument based on ARM9,and it extended the functionality of the instrument,a good reference value is provided for similar device.

Abstract:Floppy disk driver is the most popular peripheral storage device with many merits. But the storage devices now only apply to the standard computer system, which limits the application in the embedded system using single chip as the core, such as computerised embroidery machine. In practice, floppy disk driver is used as expansion of external storage. This paper gives a brief introduction to the control chip-GM82C765B, based on which the hardware circuit design of interface between MCU and floppy disk driver, and the software design of the writing and reading of the floppy disk driver are provided. This design has been applied in the computerised embroidery machine and has achieved a real good effect.

Abstract:With the growth of the amount of information manipulated by embedded application systems, which are embedded into devices and offer access to the devices on the internet, the requirements of saving the information systemically is necessary so as to fulfil access from the client and the local processing more efficiently. For supporting mobile applications, a design and implementation solution of embedded un-interruptible power supply (UPS) system (in brief, EUPSS) is brought forward for long-distance monitoring and controlling of UPS based on Web. The implementation of system is based on ATmega161, RTL8019AS and Arm chips with TCP/IP protocol suite for communication. In the embedded UPS system, an embedded file system is designed and implemented which saves the data and index information on a serial EEPROM chip in a structured way and communicates with a microcontroller unit through I2C bus. By embedding the file system into UPS system or other information appliances, users can access and manipulate local data on the web client side. Embedded file system on chips will play a major role in the growth of IP networking. Based on our experiment tests, the mobile users can easily monitor and control UPS in different places of long-distance. The performance of EUPSS has satisfied the requirements of all kinds of Web-based mobile applications.

Abstract:In addition to pocket PC functions,a portable navigation terminal,which also integrate functions of large-sized LCD screens,mobile digital TV,TV recording,GPS positioning and navigation,mobile storage,music and video player,e-books and games,is a multi-media terminal.Current products have the disadvantages of small storage-capacity,slow access-speed,nonsupport high-definition playback and so on, while E-disks have the virtue of larger storage-capacity(larger than 32GB),fast access-speed(read and write speed is faster than 150MB/s) and so on.Portable high-definition navigation terminal based on E-disk, proposed in this paper,combines the advantages of both and overcomes defects of current products.

Abstract:The utility model relates to a mobile storage and charging device which comprises a hard disk, a chip, a fingerprint acquisition unit, a safety storage, a fingerprint verification unit, a cell, a booster circuit, a charging control unit, a first USB (universal serial bus) interface, a second USB interface and a shell. The safety storage is used for storing a fingerprint template of a user in an encrypted manner, the fingerprint verification unit is used for comparing fingerprint features with the fingerprint template in the safety storage and verifying the identity of the user, and the chip authorizes the first USB interface to read and write the hard disk after the identity of the user is verified. The read-write operation authorization of the hard disk can be obtained only after the legal identity of the user is verified through fingerprints, a mobile device can be repeatedly charged by a charging system, and safety, confidentiality and applicability of the mobile device are greatly improved.

Abstract:This paper presents an SD-based mobile gateway to wireless sensor network (WSN), named uSD, which aims at helping users with mobile terminals to access WSN conveniently and efficiently. The prefix "u" of uSD illustrates its most significant characteristic: universality, which means uSD is platform independent and compatible with heterogeneous platforms, truly plug-and-play. In this paper, we first discuss some related works. Then the design and implementation of uSD are amply illustrated, especially about the uSD's superiority over SDIO-based method. Through simulation, one important parameter is obtained. At last, a practical work is shown. The result of this work not only validates uSD's feasibility, but also well demonstrates its platform independence.
