On Serial Poetic Responding Between Yuan Zhen and Bai Juyi and Their Poetry Development

Abstract:Yuan Zhen and Bai Juyi had a close relationship in the three decades,and during this time they wrote nearly a thousand serial responding poems.These serial responding poems strengthened their creative ideas of poetry and offered a powerful impetus to the creation of their allegoric poetry,thus forming the nature of serial responding poetry,namely creating the same topic together and innovating the different from the same.In their practice of creating serial responding poetry,the poetic style of either of two poets got constant improvement.There thus had been important influence on the styles,the types and the ideas of their poetic creation.Meanwhile,these serial responding poetry also promoted the development of the poetry.
