Ethics or Interest:Foreign Thought and Practice of Tony Blair’s Government

Abstract:British Labor Party has shared a similar foreign policy with that of the Conservative Party rather than a distinctive socio-democratic philosophy of foreign affairs since 1900.Most debates on Labor Party’s foreign thought toward a set of ethical stances and demand of a real pllitical national in terest have only taken place within the Party’s statesmen and left-wing members.And despite periodic claim to the moral purpose,the Labor Party in office has tended to stand side with realism rather than idealism.But Tony Blair has put the ethical dimension in its foreign thought and involved in five wars,none of which can be defined through the traditional British foreign thougth.
