Discussion on the Application of Ecological Slope Protection Technology for Stream Channel

Abstract:For a long time, the channel slope protection had been focused on its stability and flood-control ability.Little was considered about its serious damage to the river ecosystem and the people’s demand of beautiful landscape along the water system in city.The reasons of channel slope collapse and the ecological slope protection technology’s concept were discussed.The pattern of ecological slope protection, the principles of ecological slope planning and the primary materials and methods of ecological slope protection presently were introduced. As different part of the channel had different ecological function, the different measures of ecological slope protection technology should be chosen.They were used not only to satisfy the demand of stability and security to the channel slope protection, but also to improve the riparian ecosystem’s function.
