Abstract:With the development of intelligent transportation systems in our count ry,more and more vehicle electronic equipment will be applied in all kinds of vehicles as auxiliary tools for drive and navigation.However,the development of vehicle electronic equipment meets an important proble m,which is how to improve the anti-EM I performance.Since EMI problems may cause serious effects on the circuits of vehicle electronic devices especially on the i ntegrated microcontrollers,measures should be taken to assure the electronic devices work with high reliability.Thi s paper takes an ex-ample of a single-chip controlled mi ni-bus monitoring device,to give a d etailed introduction on anti-EMI me ans.At the begin-ning,the vehicle EMI sources,their mechanisms and reaction patterns are discussed.The EMI sources in a vehi cle can be classified into motor,ignition coil,high voltage wire and switching electronic component disturbance sou rces.These kinds of disturbance have caused the mini-bus monitoring device work abnormally in the experiment without taking any anti-EMI steps.Next,the measures of anti-EMI are described.There are two approaches to prevent the EMI from coupling into th e circuits:eliminating the interference from t he sources which require displaceme nt or new design of components that pr oduce disturbance to reduce the EMI;shielding the vehicle electronic device or improving their circuits by importing EMI filters.Moreover,some extra protection steps are taken in the hardware and software design as the appl ication of microprocessor supervis ory circuits and watch dog to assure the application of software technology to backup important data the microcomputer works normally,and makes marks in memory while sudden power down hap pens thus the microcomputer can recover the data and recognize the work state before power down.Finally the anti-EMI measures are pr oved to be valid under serious vehicle EMI conditions by contrast experim ents.How-ever,there is no obvious improvemen t while the vehicle facilities are in terrible aging state except updatin g them.
