Design of Precise AD Module Testing System Based on USB

Abstract:A design of precise AD module testing system based on USB is introduced.According to the demands of radar systems,the testing system is able to automatically test many parameters,including signal-noise ratio,signal-to-noise and distortion ratio,total harmonic distortion,effective number of bits,spurious free dynamic range,two-tone intermodulation distortion,zero offset,amplitude and phase error of orthogonal channels,image rejection ratio and characteristics of linear frequency modulated pulse compression.USB is employed to connect the computer.The computer completes the analysis of parameters.The use of computer simplifies the hardware.The testing system is small cubage,low cost and portable.Circuit schematic diagram,software flowchart and calculation method of parameters are provided in this paper.The testing system has already been used in automatic test for the AD module in radar systems.
