Starting up and Operation of the Extension Project of Lijiang Sewage Treatment Plant

Abstract:The extension project of Lijiang Sewage Treatment Plant adopted the technology of Modified Intermittent Cyclic Extended Activated Sludge(MICEAS)with capacity of 10,000 m3/d.Before starting up,works concerned were conducted.It took 50 days for cultivation and acclimation of the activated sludge until the floccule of sludge was formed with stable biological environment and significant results were obtained that the treated effluent reached the discharge standards.At the unfavorable condition that the nutrimental influent BOD was inadequate,the work of cultivation and acclimation of the activated sludge as well as the starting up of the project were completed successfully,which is helpful for future starting up of sewage treatment plants.
