Abstract:The six top character qualities are mindfulness,curiosity,courage,resilience,ethics and leadership.Character education is about the acquisition and strengthening of virtues (qualities),values (ideals and concepts),and the capacity to make wise choices for a well-rounded life and a thriving society.CCR calls for Character Education of the entire population as a critical right and necessity. While knowledge and skills may or may not be used in future jobs,character qualities will invari-ably be applicable to a wide range of professions.Developing necessary character qualities,students are intended to increasingly improve self-acceptance,self-management skills,and self-understanding,actively paying attention to knowledge gap,bravely adapt oneself and overcome fears in face of challenges in various situations,autonomously make ethical decisions,and develop certain leadership by engaging in group processes.Character education greatly facilitates the realization of wisdom that is considered as ultimate goal of education by CCR.
