Abstract:Furthering healthcare reform calls for public hospitals to curb unreasonable growth of medical expenses,reduce drug proportion,and lower the costs of medical materials consumed per 100 RMB medical income.In view of the hospital,the authors established a data-based monitoring system for key indicators of medical consumables,formulated an evaluation scheme of rational use,and implemented the corresponding control measures,which provide a reference for scientific control of clinical rational use of the medical consumables.

Abstract:Through establishment of institutional systems and application of technology, a full-process tracing management system was constructed for clinical application of expensive intervention consumables in the hospital, which was intended to further enhance the cardiology intervention consumable management and promote its reasonable use. Establishment of a catalog for expensive intervention consumables and the secondary storehouse management mode for the consumables in the catheter room through selection was expounded in this paper. As a consequence, full-process management of the expensive intervention consumable from 4 aspects were realized, covering its selection and approval for entry into the catalog, planned procurement and utilization, application for clinical utilization as well as reasonable assessment and control.

Abstract:By analyzing the present defects in the management of medical consumables which include lagged management model,nonstandard storage names of medical consumables and bad traceability of the implanted medical products,this paper puts forward some corresponding improvement measures,such as changing the management model of medical consumables,standardizing the storage names of medical consumables and establishing information management system for tracing the implanted medical products,so as to realize scientific and appropriate management of medical consumables.

Abstract:Objective To explore the standardized management of high-value medical consumables during medical insurance management.Methods The definition of high-value medical consumables was introduced,and the problems of high-value medical consumables were analyzed in medical insurance management.The standardized management of highvalue medical consumables was discussed from the aspects of admission and purchase management,approval of high-value medical consumables,training on medical insurance policies,construction of high-value medical consumables examination and evaluation.Results Standardized management of high-value medical consumables contributed to slowing down the increase of per capita medical consumables,controlling the amount of medical consumables during hospitalization and increasing the ratio of domestic consumables.Conclusion All the medical facilities have to avoid irrational increase of highvalue medical consumables to utilize medical insurance fund reasonably with involvement of information platform,management regulation,approval flow as well as examination and evaluation system.

Abstract:This paper analyzed the existing problems of low-value consumables in operating rooms. At the same time, in the aspect of organizing the corresponding investigation team in the operating room, it carried on the quality investigation to the low-value consumables management work in the operating room before the continuous quality improvement, and found out the existing problems in the management. In this paper, the management of continuous quality improvement on low-value consumables was used to investigate the quality of work after continuous quality improvement, and was used to compare the quality of work management before and after continuous quality improvement. In addition, this paper found that through continuous quality improvement, the cost and expenditure of low-value consumables in operating room could be solved in time, and the management of operating room had been greatly improved, which had further standardized in the application of lean management system and had promoted the management effectiveness of lean management in the department.

Abstract:Objective To reduce the using risk of medical consumables. Methods This paper analyzed the management risks of high value consumables through the analytic hierarchy process, and determined the weights. Meanwhile, the methods and techniques of bar code, health technology assessment and clinical diagnosis and treatment path management were adopted to implement risk management. Results The weight of risk factors for medical consumables management was obtained, and various countermeasures were developed to reduce the risk. Conclusion The safety and effectiveness of consumables can be guaranteed by controlling the effective risk of medical consumables.

Abstract:OBJECTIVEThis paper adopts advanced information technology to manage medical supplies, in order to improve the medical supplies management level and reduce material cost.METHODSIt develops a Medical Supplies Management System with B/S and C/S mixed structure, optimizing material management process, building large equipment performance evaluation model, providing interface solution with HIS, and realizing real-time information briefing of high value material's consumption.CONCLUSIONThe medical materials are managed during its full life-cycle. The material consumption of the clinical departments is monitored real-timely. Through the closed-loop management with pre-event budget, mid-event control and after-event analysis, it realizes the final purpose of management yielding benefit.
Application and Evaluation of SPD Based Logistics Management Model for Medical Consumables in Clinical Nursing Departments

Abstract:Background: Supply, processing, and distribution (SPD) model is sparingly used in hospitals in China. We evaluated its effects on the management efficiency, quality control, and operating costs of medical consumables (MCs) in the clinical nursing surroundings in a single Chinese hospital-Anhui Provincial Hospital from 2014 to 2015. Methods: Amount-based packages (ABP) and procedure-based packages (PBP) models were created. They were introduced the use of quick response (QR) code scanning for using in clinical nursing departments (CNDs). Questionnaires were prepared by referring to previous literature and using Delphi method repeatedly, further discussed and formalized. Partial results of the formal questionnaire were analyzed using SPSS. Results: Frequency of MCs claims reduced without any requirements of MCs in 70% of CNDs. Average time spent on the inventory per week decreased and the time required to procure MCs reduced. Moreover, the average satisfaction score with MCs management increased, reaching 100%. Average space occupied by MCs decreased significantly, reducing by 1.2444m3. Overall, 100% of the respondents concluded that the management of MCs improved effectively and the inventory turnover rate had accelerated. The cost of MCs decreased by 15% with more than 10% increase in in-hospital amount, and the average daily cost of MCs also showed decrease. Conclusion: SPD can improve the efficiency of MCs management in CNDs, reducing medical risks and disputes, saving hospital operating costs, and decreasing capital occupation.

Abstract:Object To standardize hospital high-value consumables purchasing procedure to eliminate corruption.Methods The deficiencies of some tertiary Grade A hospital were analyzed in high-value consumables purchasing, and some suggestions based on foreign countries' achievements were proposed including completing high-value consumables purchasing procedure and making anti-corruption efforts in medical institutions.Results It's suggested that high-value consumables management system be completed, admission qualification management and purchasing procedure be standardized and supervision mechanism be established in the hospital.Conclusion Improved high-value consumables purchasing procedure contributes to anti corruption in medical institutions.
Precision Managements of High/Low Value Consumables by Collocation with Third - party Platform

Abstract:Collocation of hospital consumables to third - party platform is a way to effective and orderly connect consumables factories and hospitals during the " whole -life cycle" of the consumables by an interactive platform for the disposable hospital high /low value consumables. Shanghai chest hospital has established a new Supply Processing &Distribution (SPD) chain for medicinal materials, i. e. collocating the supplying service of the disposable hospital high /low value consumables to a third party platform to achieve the refined management of consumable materials. After applying this management method, the stock balance in cardiac catheter room was clearly reduced. In addition, the number of applications and times of cardiac catheters and the time and numbers of regular stock room inventory were both significantly reduced. This method improves the accuracy of statistical data as well as the reliability of traceable product data sources.
Exploration of Standard Management of High-value Medical Consumables under Global Budget System

Abstract:Objective: To standardize the use and management of high-value medical consumables and relieve patient burden and to adapt to the payment reform of global budget of medical insurance. Methods: Information technology was applied to establish the supply chain and material management platform integrating suppliers, clinical departments, material management departments and related medical insurance departments and price departments. The platform was also integrated with the HIS billing system to monitor and manage the use of high-value medical consumables. The transparency of high-value medical consumables was improved by auditing access of high-valuable consumables, adopting public bidding approach, promoting joint supervision of the health insurance department and price department, implementing the informed consent mechanism and applying bar code technologies. Results: 1/3 of duplicative consumable varieties were cut off the supply chain and the bidding price was reduced by 12%. Patients were able to choose medical consumables according to their own conditions, thus protecting their interests and benefits.
