Abstract:The title compound, C23H16ClN3, has been synthesized by the reaction of 4,5-diphenyl-2-(2-nitro-5-chlorophenyl)imidazole with triethyl ortho-acetate, induced by a low-valent titanium reagent. There are two independent molecules of similar conformation in the asymmetric unit. The dihedral angles between the pyrimidine and imidazole rings are 2.14 (2) and 2.71 (3)degrees.

Abstract:A new method for synthesis of synthesis 6-hydroxy-3, 4-dihydro-2(lH) quinolinone was investigated with higher yield and simpler operation. The title compound was prepared starting from 3-chloropropionyl chloride, via cyclizing, nitration, reduction, diazotization and hydrolysis. The total yield is 67.7%, and the yield of each step is between 86.5% -99.6%. 6-Hydroxy-3, 4-dihydro-2(1H)quinolinone was characterized by MS and 1H NMR.

Abstract:In the title compound, C20H22ClN3O4 center dot H2O, the quinazoline and benzene ring systems are oriented at a dihedral angle of 4.99 (3)degrees. Intramolecular C-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bonding results in the formation of a nearly planar six-membered ring, which is nearly coplanar with the adjacent quinazoline ring system and the benzene ring, making dihedral angles of 2.39 (3) and 3.32 (3)degrees, respectively. In the crystal structure, intermolecular N-H center dot center dot center dot O and C-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds link the molecules.

Abstract:The title compound, C15H9N9S3, was synthesized by the reaction of cyanuric chloride with the potassium salt of 2-mercaptopyrimidine. The dihedral angles between the three pyrimidinyl rings and the central triazine plane are 94.1 (4), 105.5 (3) and 126.6 (5)degrees. The three S atoms are essentially coplanar with the triazine ring, while the orientations of the three pyrimidinyl rings are different, with one ring twisting in the opposite direction to the other two.
