Abstract:The title compound, C16H19N3O3, has two crystallographically independent molecules in the asymmetric unit. There are two intermolecular (N—H⋯O) and two intramolecular hydrogen bonds (N—H⋯N) in the crystal structure. The crystal packing is stabilized by π–π-stacking interactions.

Abstract:In the crystal of the title compound, 2C(9)H(8)NO(+).C4H2-Br2O42-. 2C(4)H(4)Br(2)O(4), the dibromosuccinate dianion and dibromosuccinic acid molecules each lie on an inversion center. They interact via hydrogen bonding. The hydroxy-quinolinium cations are hydrogen bonded to both the dibromosuccinate anion and dibromosuccinic acid molecules. The overlapped arrangement and short face-to-face distance of 3.431 ( 17) Angstrom indicate the existence of pi-pi stacking between hydroxyquinolinium rings in the crystal structure.

Abstract:The crystal structure of the title compound, C6H8N4S22+.-2C(6)H(7)N(4)S(2)(+.)4C(7)H(4)NO(4)(-), comprises diprotonated diaminobithiazole (DABT) dications located on inversion centers, monoprotonated DABT cations and nitrobenzoate anions. The relatively short C - N( amino) bond distances, ranging from 1.310 (2) to 1.350 (2) angstrom, indicate electron delocalization between the amino groups and thiazole rings. Intermolecular N - H (...) O and N - H (...) N hydrogen bonds stabilize the crystal packing.

Abstract:In the title compound, C16H12N2O3, the planar quinoline ring system [maximum deviation = 0.025 (3) angstrom] is oriented at a dihedral angle of 61.76 (7)degrees with respect to the benzene ring. In the crystal structure, intermolecular C-H center dot center dot center dot O interactions link the molecules into chains parallel to the b axis. pi-pi contacts between the quinoline rings [centroid-centroid distance = 3.623 (1) angstrom] may further stabilize the structure.

Abstract:The title compound S,S'-bis(8-quinolyl)-1,8-dithiaoctane crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P2(1)/n with a = 7.537(1), b = 20.434(3), c = 13.857(2) Angstrom, beta = 97.102(3)degrees, V = 2117.8(5) Angstrom(3), D-c = 1.269 g/cm(3), Z = 4, C24H24N2S2, M-r= 404.57, mu(MoKalpha) = 0.263 mm(-1) and F(000) = 856, and its structure was refined to R = 0.0417 and wR = 0.1077 for 2814 observed reflections (I > 2sigma(I)). The compound crystallizes in conformations A and B with equal occupation ratio. A acts as both a donor and acceptor in the C-H(...)pi interactions, but B only acts as a donor. Edge-to-face C-H(...)pi interactions between AA along the a axis and BABA along the c axis result in an infinite layered-structure in the ac plane.
