Abstract:In academic community,there exists a transmigration theory concerning the lot of Li Yu,Chen Zilong and Nalan Xingde,because their Ci style is quite similar,namely subtle poetic production,being good at prose,moderate appreciation,and aesthetic peculiarity of innocence,universality and sentiment.

Abstract:Ouyang Xiu is a distinguished poet in the evolution of Ci, who carried forward the songs into the future. On the basis of Tang Wudai Dynasty Ci, he brought forth new changes in artistic conception, content as well as format, which hewed a path for Ci development since North and South Song Dynasty. The impact pushed the emergence of a set of songs(GuZi Ci) and Man Ci. Ouyang Xiu manifested his recreational life and genuine emotions by Ci with a varying but natural and passionate style which ranked the top in the songs arena of North Song Dynasty.

Abstract:A comparative criticism of HAN Yu's classical prose and SIMA Qian's Shi Ji,as an important part of the history of HAN Yu's criticism,had been concentrated on such issues as their works' differences in sentiment,temperament and showing their hands of mastery after their straitened life,particularly in their style and grammar,with the focuses of attention dispersed a bit too much at the early stage.Since middle Ming Dynasty,directed against the sole reverence for the grammatical arrangement of the Qin and Han Dynasties and imitating the outer-appearance but neglecting inner-essence,the style of concurrently taking in Tang and Song Schools had begun to form the self-consciousness of comparison with SIMA Qian's Shi Ji as the reference,and with quintessence and distinctive character stressed most.This shift is an act of succeeding to the right tradition of classical prose and a product of basing prose on the Tang and Song Dynasties and getting to the root of the Qin and Han Dynasties.This idea both was an important methodology of research,but also formed the core content of the theory of classical prose writing on the basis of the theory of comparison emphasizing the literary tradition and imitation.

Abstract:Li Qingzhao (1084-ca. 1155?) is widely lauded as the most celebrated and talented woman poet in the history of classical Chinese literature. This study, with the theoretical guidance of Dr. Wang Feng’s “Harmony-Guided Three-Level Poetry Translation Criteria”, focuses on a comparative analysis of the collected renditions of the ci-poem “to the tune of Tipsy in Flower Shade” at the macro, middle and micro levels, to further promote the translation and communication of classical Chinese literature. This study aims to exert far-reaching influences on the process of Chinese literature going global, which has unprecedented contemporary significance.

Abstract:This article deals with ci written by the outstanding Chinese poetess of the Song dynasty Li Qingzhao (李清照, 1084–1155?) and her poetic style Yi’an ti (易安體). The empirical material for this research is the extant 60 ci of Li Qingzhao which are presented in one of the most famous collections compiled by Xu Peijun (徐培均). Having analyzed these ci I have found several correlations concerning her poetic style. Firstly, in Li Qingzhao’s poetry ci form is positively related to ci rank: the longer ci, the higher its chance of being perceived as an “outstanding” one by commentators and poets. Secondly, the way of expressing emotions is one of the main elements that make Li Qingzhao’s long ci (zhongdiao 中調 and changdiao 長調) to be perceived as the “outstanding” ones by commentators and poets and her short ci (xiaoling 小令) as nothing very distinctive. Thirdly, negatively marked emotions are dominant in Li Qingzhao’s ci, but in most cases the poetess did not mention the reason of the sorrow of the lyrical persona or the persona this emotion was connected with. Forthly, there is a strong correlation between ci form, ci rank and types of floral images in her poetry.

Abstract:Harmony in diversity is the basic requirement of the comparative study of Chinese and foreign poetics. Expressionism, as an important school of western literature, focuses on intuition and emphasizes performance. Their works focus on the expression of emotions, using a variety of artistic means to reflect the people’s inner activities and mental state, while ignoring the description of the form of the object, often in the form of distortion and abstraction of reality. Therefore, in the works of expressionist writers and artists, abstract, deformation, symbol, illusion and so on are presented. Chinese ancient literature also attached great importance to expression, but the view of expression in expressionism literature was obviously different from that in traditional Chinese poetics. These differences are influenced not only by the time factors, but also by the national cultural differences. Through the comparative study of the two, we can find the differences and connections of expression between Expressionism and Chinese traditional poetics and promote the further development of the expression theory in contemporary Chinese literature.
The Comparison and Exploration of the Subject Difference between Lamentations and Lament of Capital Ying

Abstract:Lamentations and lament of capital Ying are models of city lament in ancient Hebrew-and Chinese classical literary traditions respectively. A comparative study shows that there are significant subject difference between lamentations and lament of capital Ying . Lamentations is the collective works, and its compilation and inheritance function as emotional expression of sufferings of the past, present and future of the Jewish people, reflecting their infinite belief of transcendent God . In contrast, lament of capital Ying is the creation of Qu Yuan, and under the influence of the sage's commitment to the mandate of heaven by his individual virtue. The poetry expresses Qu Yuan’s personal grief through a special literary technique and its succession and experience in later generations are mainly individual. The subject difference of two poetry is a reflection of different development trajectories of the humans-transcendent relationship in Hebrew- and the Chinese civilizations of the Axial Age.

Abstract:The Shuzhuang Poetry Club matched evenly with the South Society in Shanghai in the aspects such as developing scale,existing time,writing achievement,impetus and influence,etc.However,since they had different social and historic backgrounds that formed themselves,different members and their attitude tendencies,different purposes of organization,requirements of revolution,orientations of culture,inheritances of poetic art,added into the affection of other factors for example organizational shape,operating mechanism,expenses source,and so on.the two organizations presented completely different developing views finally.Essentially,the South Society in Shanghai was a literature organization of nationalism revolution which "revolted the Qing Dinasty and repelled Manchu" at the end of the Qing Dinasty and at the beginning of the Republic of China,and the Shuzhuang Poetry Club was a literature organization that loved homeland but went into exiling on mainland,which "revolted Japan and recovered Taiwan" during the Period of Japan Occupying Taiwan.They respectively contained specific social connotation and unique historic significance.

Abstract:Based on Zhuangzi with Chinese Annotation and Translation written by Chen (2007), this article has conducted a contrastive analysis of different translations of Zhuangzi by Liang and Kang (2020), Ziporyn (2009), Legge (1891) and Watson (1968). This study aims to help translate Chinese classics and offer western readers a better comprehension of the extensive and profound philosophical thoughts of Chinese traditional culture. It is found that with full consideration of the target readers, Liang and Kang’s (2020) translation has retained most of the original thoughts of Zhuangzi and hereby bridges the cultural gap which is beyond the efforts of western translators. The publication of this translation has tremendous significance for cultural exchange and international interaction, guiding future translation practice and engaging in translation criticism.

Abstract:Song Ci is a treasure in the history of Chinese classical literature. As one of the representative works of Song Ci by Xin Qiji, a bold and unconstrained poet, Tune: Chou Nu Er Written on the Wall on My Way to Boshan has been favored by many translators at home and abroad, and there are many English versions in existence. The translation theory of "Functional Equivalence" points out that "Translating consists in reproducing in the receptor language the closest natural equivalent of the source-language message, first in terms of meaning and secondly in terms of style". Translation contains not only lexical equivalence, but also semantic equivalence, stylistic equivalence, and conveys superficial lexical information and deep cultural information. Poetry stands on the beauty of sound, meaning and form, and also has a great cultural connotation. Therefore, it is necessary to convey the source language information and reproduce the cultural connotation in translation. Based on this, this paper takes two English versions of Tune: Chou Nu Er Written on the Wall on My Way to Boshan as the research object, analyzes the functional equivalence in poetry translation from three aspects: meaning, sound and form, and discusses the guiding significance and rationality of functional equivalence theory in the translation of Song Ci. Abstract:There are many English versions of poems on the market with different styles, but the quality of the translated poems is quite different. This paper mainly makes a comparative analysis of English translations of Li Bai's "Invitation to Wine" by using Dr Wang Feng's "Harmony-Guided Three-Level Poetry Translation Criteria" and concludes that when translating poems into English, we should not only achieve harmony at the macro level, and the similar style and artistic conception at the meso-level, but pay attention to the representation of various beauties at the micro-level. Through the analysis, the authors hope to verify the guiding role of "Harmony-Guided Three-Level Poetry Translation Criteria" in poetry translation and promote the English translation of Chinese poetry.

Abstract:As one of the valuable literary legacies of China, Tang poetry contains rich linguistic and cultural knowledge. Translating it into English not only helps spread the excellent traditional culture of China to the outside world, but also promotes people to delve into and re-experience its profound meaning, thus making it last forever. This study explores the two English translations of "Shu Xiang" from the perspective of Eco-Translatology, evaluating the advantages and disadvantages of each translation in terms of "three-dimensional" transformation. Feeling the uniqueness of language through comparison and understanding the profoundness of culture through analysis, thereby enhancing cultural confidence. It provides reference for the translation of Chinese literary classics into English, and promotes the research on relevant models for the internationalization of Chinese literature and culture. The research results indicate that Xu Yuanchong's translation has the highest degree of integrated adaptive selection. The study also demonstrates that the theory of Eco-Translatology can be used to analyze English translations of poetry and provide a new perspective for the translation of poetry.
