Abstract:Chen Yinke and Qian Mu,starting with mutual interpretation between poetry and history,have made great contributions to the formation of poetics.First,they give a poetic interpretation to the formation of national culture;second,they conclusively prove that romantic personality embodies the cultural idiosyncrasy in the life of a nation;third,they provide a poetic description of the beautiful spirit in Chinese culture;and fourth,they lay stress on the free spiritual experience in the history of national literature.All these provide some enlightenments to the reconstruction of contemporary poetics and axiological aesthetics.

Abstract:In the early period of Ming,under the literary drive of revivalism,the theory of image,to a great extent,was influenced by the idea of "Poems Expressing Wills" of the Confucianism with the Taoist elements,as well as the Metaphysical Poetry of Taoism.In the middle and late Ming Dynasty,the theory of image with the essence of disposition(Xingqing) was proposed from the influence of Wang Yangming's theory of mind and Li Zhi's theory of "innocent mind",as well as the emergence of self awareness and the idea of emotional concept.The reinterpretation of image by essentially using the theory of disposition not only was the historical completeness of the theory of image but also developed the poetic thoughts that used "disposition and emotion" to dispel the concept of "image".

Abstract:Imagery is a familiar aesthetic and admirable object observed by Chinese scholars in both ancient and modern times. As one of the important elements of traditional poetic beauty, imagery analysis has drawn extensive attention in the recent years. Abstract:For Martin Heidegger, "thinking" and "poetry" cannot be separated and the elucidation of poetry is an important pattern to express his philosophical thinking. This approach reminds me of poetry used to express existential care and religious mood in ancient China. Indeed, the poems that move people deeply are closely related to our personal life experience. The poems that really inspire people often contain theological meanings. China is a country rich in poems, which is demonstrated in Shih-ching (Classic of Poetry) and the poetry of Tang and Song Dynasty. They achieved not only incomparable artistic peak, but also communicated profound philosophical thought and lofty religious spirit by their insight into the meaning of existence. In this era, metaphysics declined and the way of constructing theology with the aid of metaphysics is not a viable opition. In this situation, we glimpse a hope to nourish the humanist spirit and to build theological pattern with unique Chinese style by means of tracing our cultural source and interpreting the poems which are full of imagination and creativity.

Abstract:This article deals with ci written by the outstanding Chinese poetess of the Song dynasty Li Qingzhao (李清照, 1084–1155?) and her poetic style Yi’an ti (易安體). The empirical material for this research is the extant 60 ci of Li Qingzhao which are presented in one of the most famous collections compiled by Xu Peijun (徐培均). Having analyzed these ci I have found several correlations concerning her poetic style. Firstly, in Li Qingzhao’s poetry ci form is positively related to ci rank: the longer ci, the higher its chance of being perceived as an “outstanding” one by commentators and poets. Secondly, the way of expressing emotions is one of the main elements that make Li Qingzhao’s long ci (zhongdiao 中調 and changdiao 長調) to be perceived as the “outstanding” ones by commentators and poets and her short ci (xiaoling 小令) as nothing very distinctive. Thirdly, negatively marked emotions are dominant in Li Qingzhao’s ci, but in most cases the poetess did not mention the reason of the sorrow of the lyrical persona or the persona this emotion was connected with. Forthly, there is a strong correlation between ci form, ci rank and types of floral images in her poetry.

Abstract:Zhu Xi's Dong gui luan gao represents Zhu Xi's journey experience and his own endeavor. The implications of the poetry anthology can be summarized as xin and Dao xin. Reflecting Zhu Xi's personality, Gui xin implies ethics and morality. Melancholy thinking of his family members in a strange place is an example showing his deep ethical emotion. Dominated with philosophy, Dao xin combines personal observation with aesthetic outlook. The informal style of Zhu Xi's poems results from his regarding philosophy as poetry and using poems as teaching resources. Zhu Xi's philosophical poetry was full of vitality in his times, reflecting his viewpoint, emotion and philosophical life, visualizing characteristics of philosophical discourses, widening aesthetic scope of Song poetry, enhancing applicable functions of the poetry. On the eastward journey, Zhu Xi created by chanting a myth keeping rationalistic thinking in harmony with ethical emotion and life taste.
