Reform Strategies for the Popular Music Public Course Based on Key Competences

Abstract:This study aims to explore the application potential of international music teaching methods in the reform of public basic courses of popular music in Chinese universities. Using mixed research methods, the applicability of Dalcroze, Kodaly, and Orff teaching methods was systematically evaluated through expert interviews, teaching material development, and a quasi-experimental design. The study found that these methods have high overall applicability in the Chinese higher education environment (average rating 4.183/5), but require localization adjustments. Based on this, the innovative textbook "Fundamentals and Applications of Popular Music" (IOC value 0.920) and a 12-week teaching plan (IOC value 0.880) were developed. The results of the 16-week teaching experiment showed that the students in the experimental group were significantly better than the control group in terms of music theory knowledge, appreciation ability, creative ability and learning interest (p<0.01). This study proposes a curriculum reform strategy that integrates innovation, technology empowerment, and interdisciplinary integration, providing theoretical basis and practical guidance for improving the quality of popular music education in colleges and universities. Future research directions include expanding the sample scope, conducting long-term follow-up studies, and deepening cross-cultural comparative analysis.

Abstract:In music learning, the mobilization of students' learning subjectivity needs the correct guidance of music teachers. Under the correct guidance of music teachers, students can exert their subjective initiative to realize the role of the main body of learning. In music classes, high-quality contact between teachers and students is required to meet the goals of teacher supervision and student subjectivity. This paper presents a music education approach based on a computer-assisted system and the realities of music education in China's elementary and secondary schools. This strategy can specifically solve the problems existing in the interaction between teachers and students in Chinese music education. Furthermore, based on the actual effect of this system in music teaching for various age groups, a strategy for implementing high-quality teacher-student interaction in music teaching is proposed. The effectiveness of the system is also analyzed. This work studies the interactive creation strategy of teachers and students in music education through the computer information technology-assisted system.

Abstract:The background that lots of Western universities have noticed the importance of aesthetic education and music education is that they offer a higher level of teaching and add teaching equipment, the lack of music education in Chinese universities has been more obvious. Based on the development of music education in Western universities, the authors looked into how students were being taught music in Chinese universities and colleges. Although the authors' findings from the questionnaire indicate that Chinese university students do not receive adequate music instruction, they are not pessimistic. The article by the author offers some reference data for upcoming studies on music instruction in Chinese universities and colleges.

Abstract:This study aims to explore the reform of the "three educations" (teachers, textbooks, and teaching methods) in vocational undergraduate music performance majors under the "1+X" certificate system. Through literature review, field research, and case analysis, this article analyzes the current teaching status of music performance majors in vocational colleges in China. The researchers proposed a "three education" reform strategy based on the "1+X" certificate system and explored key issues and challenges in the implementation of the reform. The research results indicate that the "1+X" certificate system can effectively promote the teaching reform of music performance majors, improve the quality of vocational undergraduate teaching, and enhance the level of talent cultivation.

Abstract:There are some problems in music teaching in Chinese colleges and universities, and we can take a series of countermeasures and suggestions to solve these problems and improve the quality of music teaching. Firstly, updating the teaching content is necessary. We should strengthen the education of diversified music genres, not only limited to classical music, but also focusing on other music forms such as pop music and ethnic music. Abstract:In music learning, different approaches have been tried to make music more meaningful and practical for students. In implementing these methods, several strategies are employed, such as mastering theoretical learning, performance-based learning, contract learning, discovery learning, cooperative learning, stage practice, daily clocking, and the implementation of compulsory and elective courses with music at the core. Considering that high-vocational students are students with relatively low grades, it is time to find ways to better suit their studies and improve their grades and skills. Reform must be put into practice and should be based on human innovation, not on paper. The humanistic view emphasizes that teachers are decision-makers and students have the ability to understand what they have learned. In today's all-round implementation of quality education, it is advocated that there are no students who do not learn well, only teachers who do not know how to do. In the outline of teaching reform strategy in the new period, different teaching methods are adopted to train students' thinking and reasoning ability and improve students' ability to learn music. An important attempt will be made to improve students' music learning by developing teaching methods.
