The Re-internationalization of Sino-American Relations

Abstract:With the rise of China and the development of globalization in the post Cold War period,Sino-American relations have gone through a phase of re-internationalization on structural and functional levels which have produced very different impacts on the bilateral relations. Looking into the future,the multipolarization of the international system,the development of globalization,and the constructive tendencies in China’s foreign policy,will push the internationalization process towards a more functional direction. Globalization as the primary basis for Sino-American relations will truly make the rising power and the already existing big power real partners,creating a new logic for international relations.
