Abstract:Mold Flow simulation of automotive fuse-box housing is presented by analyzing filling,packing,cooling and wrapping,which obtains the optimal position of gate,the best flowing regime,the minimum wrapping deformation and the best of injecting parameter.It can be seen from the results that,with the optimal structure and operable injection molding process parameters,reducing development costs and enhancing the competitiveness of their products are achieved by shortening the development cycle,reducing development risk and improving the product′s reliability.

Abstract:Numerical simulation of the injection molding process of the outer panel of the automotive plastic rear door and mold design is presented here. Computer aided three-dimensional interactive application (CATIA) is employed to design the original automotive steel structure, and the modal and thermodynamic properties of the plastic back door outer panel are changed by changing the different injection materials of the back door outer panel. In order to efficiently design the panels, finite element analysis is used to verify whether the designed parts meet the mechanical properties requirements such as light weight, low fuel consumption, short production cycle, strong modeling design, high corrosion resistance and good recovery, the above main parameters have been evaluated, and the above main parameters are carried out evaluate. To simulate the injection molding process, computer aided engineering (CAE) software such as ANSYS and HyperWorks are used to analyze the back door of the selected material. After the numerical analysis, suitable material is selected, so that the modal and thermodynamic properties of the product could be satisfied as well as improved. Unigraphics NX (UG) is employed to design the convex and concave mold for the injection molding of the automobile’s plastic back door panel. Combined with the characteristics of the parts and the design requirements of the injection mold, the multi-scheme design of the pouring and cooling system is carried out. By comparing the effects of different gating and cooling systems on injection molding, the best gating and cooling system is selected. The artificial fish swarm algorithm is used to optimize the process parameters of the injection molding process, and the best combination of the injection molding process parameters of the outer panel of the rear door of the automobile is obtained.

Abstract:Abstract In the plastic injection molding process, the design of the cooling system plays a key role in the molding quality, molding cycle and production efficiency of the product. In this paper, computer technology is used to perform numerical simulation analysis on the injection mold of the automobile hubcaps. The mold temperature, the ejection temperature time of the plastic part and the distribution of the warpage of the plastic part are used as performance indicators to obtain the deficiencies of the cooling system design. Practice has proved that the cooling system optimization method is reliable and effective, and has certain reference value for the design of injection mold structure.

Abstract:The structure design of hot runner secondary side core-pulling slider mould for a kind of auto rearview mirror shell waw introduced. Creatively adopting hierarchical sliding method,the hierarchical sliding different sliding block structure was designed,at the same time,cooperating with secondary ejection machine inclined top core pulling out,the product up and down inside the concave difficult core-pulling area was realized. Abstract:Abstract In this paper, the new energy automobile front-end frame of a factory is taken as the research object, the polypropylene plastic is used to replace the traditional sheet metal material, and the hyper mesh is used to load the front-end frame's six loading loads, which are the locking limit tension and the cushion impact force, respectively, pedestrian impact strength, condenser support strength, radiator support strength, oil cooler support strength, ensure to achieve certain mechanical properties before production. The maximum warpage deformation is 1.023 mm by mold flow analysis with Moldflow. It does not meet the needs of manufacturers, so it is necessary to optimize the process parameters. We use the mold temperature, melt temperature, holding pressure, injection time, and holding time as test factors, and take the amount of warpage as the optimization goal. Then this paper uses the orthogonal test method to design the test plan and establishes 25 groups of 5-level 5-factor orthogonal tests. Moreover, the effect of the deformation on the warpage is analyzed. These are all to obtain the minimum warpage deformation and find the optimal combination of process parameters. Verification by numerical simulation shows that the warpage is reduced to 0.632 mm. By analyzing the range and variance, the combination of process parameters is optimized, and the warpage is effectively reduced. In the premise of satisfying mechanical properties, plastic instead of steel, to achieve a lightweight design. It provides correct theoretical guidance for setting the actual injection molding process parameters.

Abstract:Analysis the characteristics of box shape parts and the necessity of use the gas-assisted injection,taking glove box-body of ordinary sedan as study object,the paper studied theoretic rheological characteristics of two-phase melting body and theoretic formula based on 2.5D numerical simulation,as well as the influence of six-aspect——injection pressure,clamp pressure,injection time,weld lines,volumetric shrinkage and warp——on body molding. Through comparative analysis numerical simulation of ordinary injection molding to comprehensively studied the influence of individual parameter on gas-assisted injection molding of box shape's complex parts. The results show that the box parts got a higher quality by using the gas-assisted injection molding and it is the urgent need of the automotive industry to put the gas-assisted injection molding into forming other car parts to meet the development of plastic instead of steel.

Abstract:The main objective of the present article is to solve the problems of poor molding quality, large warpage, inadequate cooling effect and unsuitable selection of process parameters, in the injection molding process for passenger vehicle front-end plastic wing plate. The thickness and parting surface of the vehicle front-end fender were determined, the injection mold and its cooling system were designed. The relevant process parameters, affecting the product molding quality, were tested, according to orthogonal experimental approach, while their influence on the warpage was obtained, by analyzing the data. Finally, the BP neural network of warpage model was established and globally optimized using genetic algorithm. The optimal parameter combination of the injection molding process was derived as: melt temperature 236 °C, mold temperature 51 °C, cooling time 32 s, packing pressure 97 MPa and packing time 16 s.

Abstract:This study investigates the challenges and potential of conventional injection molding for producing thick-walled optical components. The research primarily focuses on optimizing process parameters and mold design to enhance product quality. The methods include software simulations and experimental validation using polycarbonate test samples (optical lenses). Significant parameters such as melt temperature, mold temperature, injection pressure, and packing pressure were varied to assess their impact on geometric accuracy and visual properties. The results show that lower melt temperatures and higher mold temperatures significantly reduce the occurrence of dimensional defects. Additionally, the design of the gate system was found to be crucial in minimizing defects and ensuring uniform material flow. Effective packing pressure was essential in reducing volumetric shrinkage and sink marks. Furthermore, we monitored the deviation between the predicted and actual defects relative to the thickness of the sample wall. After optimization, the occurrence of obvious defects was eliminated across all sample thicknesses (lenses), and the impact of the critical defect, the sink mark on the planar side of the lens, was minimized. These findings demonstrate the substantial potential of conventional injection molding to produce high-quality thick-walled parts when these parameters are precisely controlled. This study provides valuable insights for the efficient design and manufacturing of optical components, addressing the growing demand for high-performance thick-walled plastic products.

Abstract:Abstract: The oblique guide column lateral core extraction mechanism and oblique push rod inner core extraction mechanism have been designed to address molding and demolding issues with plastic parts' inner buckles and side wall holes. The aim is to simplify the mold structure as much as possible while maximizing effectiveness and one-time success rate. Injection molding simulation using Moldflow software and DOE experimental design analysis have been utilized to determine the best pouring system and cooling system. Based on simulation and optimization results, the product mold structure has been designed using UG software with a two-cavity layout and latent point gating. The entire design process is based on Moldflow and UG software, thereby reducing design cycle, simplifying mold trial process and cutting costs. This mold design can be used as a reference for other plastic products with similar structures.

Abstract:Taking an aluminum alloy gearbox of an automobile as an example, according to its structural characteristics, the parting surface was determined, and the initial gating system was designed by using 3D modeling software UG. Based on Magmasoft software, the numerical simulation of the filling and solidification process was carried out to determine the best gating system scheme. The cooling system and core pulling structure were designed, and the parameter design process of the aluminum alloy gearbox shell in the die-casting process was introduced. Aiming at the leakage problem of the gearbox shell in the bench and road test after assembly, the cause was found through numerical simulation and industrial CT analysis, and the problem was solved by adding high-pressure point cooling at the corresponding position of the leakage, and the correctness of the optimization was verified. It provides an effective method for the die-casting production of the transmission housing and the analysis and solution of product defects, which improves the product quality and shortens the production cycle.

Abstract:Injection molding is a highly nonlinear procedure that is easily influenced by various external factors, thereby affecting the stability of the product's quality. High-speed injection molding is required for production due to the rapid cooling characteristics of thin-walled parts, leading to increased manufacturing complexity. Consequently, establishing appropriate process parameters for maintaining quality stability in long-term production is challenging. This study selected a hot runner mold with a thin wall fitted with two external sensors, a nozzle pressure sensor and a tie-bar strain gauge, to collect data regarding the nozzle peak pressure, the timing of peak pressure, the viscosity index, and the clamping force difference value. The product weight was defined as the quality indicator, and a standardized parameter optimization process was constructed, including injection speed, V/P switchover point, packing, and clamping force. Finally, the optimized process parameters were applied to the adaptive process control experiments using the developed control system operated within the micro-controller unit (MCU). The results revealed that the control system effectively stabilized the product weight variation and standard deviation of 0.677% and 0.0178 g, respectively.

Abstract:This research investigates the adaptation of conventional injection-molding techniques for producing thick-walled polycarbonate optical components, specifically targeting their application in automotive light guides. With the automotive industry's growing demand for reliable yet cost-efficient optical products, the study examines how traditional injection-molding processes can be refined to enhance dimensional accuracy and reduce defects. Simulations and experimental trials were conducted to evaluate the impact of critical process parameters, such as melt temperature, mold temperature, injection pressure, and gate design, on the overall quality of the final components. The results show that by carefully optimizing these parameters, it is possible to significantly reduce common defects like warpage, surface imperfections, and dimensional instability. This research highlights the potential of existing molding techniques to meet high industry standards while maintaining cost-effectiveness, offering valuable guidance for manufacturers aiming to produce high-quality optical components for demanding applications like automotive lighting.
