Abstract:Copper containing antibacterial stainless steel in the wide application process, will face a variety of working conditions, thus inevitably exposed to a variety of different environmental media. Therefore, friction and wear experiments were carried out on antibacterial stainless steel samples under different normal loads (20 N, 60 N, 100 N) and environments (dry friction, 3.5%NaCl solution, and deionized water). The surface of the wear scar, the cross-sectional morphology, and the microstructure of the subsurface layer under different conditions were analyzed by white light interference three-dimensional surface profilometer, scanning electron microscope (SEM), backscatter electron diffractometer (EBSD), etc. The results show that the friction coefficient of the dry friction environment is the largest, followed by the friction coefficient of the deionized water environment. The friction coefficient of the 3.5%NaCl solution is the smallest. The depth change from the sample's surface to the bottom of the wear scar is the largest in the dry friction environment. With the average load increase, the wear depth in the dry friction environment is more profound, and the wear intensifies. However, for deionized water and 3.5%NaCl solution, under different normal loads, the depth from the sample's surface to the bottom of the wear scar showed a gradually increasing trend, and the increase was relatively small. In the dry friction and normal load force of 100 N samples, the subsurface tissue distortion is the most serious; the substructure and deformation areas are the most. The width of the high Kernel Average Misorientation (KAM) region reaches about 250 mu m, twice that of deionized water and 3.5%NaCl solution under the same average load force.
