Abstract:The properties of the modified Gribov-Levin-Ryskin evolution equation which incorporates both shadowing and antishadowing are analyzed. We find that some important conclusions of the GLR equation should be rewritten.

Abstract:We introduce antishadowing into the Gribov-Levin-Ryskin evolution equation and restore the momentum sum rule. It is found clearly that antishadowing will modify the shadowing effect in the region 10(-4) < x < 10(-2) when a hot spot with small radius exists in the nucleon.

Abstract:The predictions for the proton structure function F2 at small x are presented by using the modified Gribov-Levin-Ryskin evolution equation which restores the momentum sum rule in the evolution processes. It turns out that the shadowing effect is weakened by the antishadowing effect in the region x > 10−3 and that the net shadowing effect will appear in the region x < 10−3 and low Q2.

Abstract:We explore the theoretical observation that within the leading twist approximation, the nuclear effects of shadowing and antishadowing in non-perturbative nuclear parton distribution functions (nPDFs) at the input QCD evolution scale involve diffraction on nucleons of a nuclear target and originate from merging of two parton ladders belonging to two different nucleons, which are close in the rapidity space. It allows us to propose that for a given momentum fraction $x_P$ carried by the diffractive exchange, nuclear shadowing and antishadowing should compensate each other in the momentum sum rule for nPDFs locally on the interval $\ln (x/x_P) \le 1$. We realize this by constructing an explicit model of nuclear gluon antishadowing, which has a wide support in $x$, $10^{-4} < x < 0.2$, peaks at $x=0.05-0.1$ at the level of $\approx 15$\% for $^{208}$Pb at $Q_0^2=4$ GeV$^2$ and rather insignificantly depends on details of the model. We also studied the impact parameter $b$ dependence of antishadowing and found it to be slow.

Abstract:The parton evolution model is improved by using the modified Alteralli-Parisi equation which can describe the nuclear shadowing and antishadowing effects in the small x region. Within the theoretical framework of the improved parton evolution model. the unified description of the European Muon Collaboration (EMC) effect, and nuclear shadowing and antishadowing effects is given without introducing the nuclear shadowing factor.

Abstract:We propose a novel unifying approach to study the shadowing property for a broad class of dynamical systems (in particular, discontinuous and non-invertible) under a variety of perturbations. In distinction to known constructions, our approach is local: it is based on the gluing property which takes into account the shadowing under a single (not necessarily small) perturbation.

Abstract:For nonautonomous and nonlinear differential and difference equations depending on a parameter, we formulate sufficient conditions under which they exhibit C k , k ∈ N shadowing with respect to a parameter. Our results are applicable to situations when the linear part is not hyperbolic. In the case when the linear part is hyperbolic, we obtain results dealing with parameterized Hyers-Ulam stability.

Abstract:We look at the preservation of various notions of shadowing in discrete dynamical systems under inverse limits, products, factor maps and the induced maps for symmetric products and hyperspaces. The shadowing properties we consider are the following: shadowing, h-shadowing, eventual shadowing, orbital shadowing, strong orbital shadowing, the first and second weak shadowing properties, limit shadowing, s-limit shadowing, orbital limit shadowing and inverse shadowing.

Abstract:Shadow removal is of significance in computer vision. Shadow usually adheres to texture, and it is difficult to decouple shadow from texture without any assumptions. In this paper, we suppose that the texture beneath shadow should bear the similar patterns, which makes the problem of simultaneously recovering the reflectance and light attenuation factor solvable with sole image. A novel shadow removal method is proposed, which is fulfilled by complementing the lost radiance in shadow region. Experiments show that our proposed approach could maintain the texture structure and the coherent lighting with the intact region.

Abstract:This paper presents a comprehensive analysis of the MD-BFKL equation, considering both shadowing and anti-shadowing effects in gluon recombination processes. By deriving analytical expressions for unintegrated gluon distributions through the solution of the MD-BFKL equation, with and without the incorporation of anti-shadowing effect, we offer new insights into the influence of these effects on the behavior of unintegrated gluon distributions. Our results, when compared to the CT18NLO gluon distribution function, demonstrate that the anti-shadowing effect has a notably stronger impact on the characteristics of unintegrated gluon distributions, particularly in regions of high rapidity and momentum. This work significantly contributes to the understanding of gluon recombination mechanisms and their implications in high energy physics.

Abstract:After introducing the notion of weighted shadowing, we give sufficient conditions under which certain nonlinear perturbations of nonautonomous linear delay differential equations exhibit the shadowing property with respect to a given weight function. As a corollary, it is shown that if the unperturbed equation admits a shifted exponential dichotomy and the Lipschitz constant of the nonlinear term is sufficiently small, then the perturbed system has a shadowing property with respect to an exponential weight function. An application to differential equations with small delay is given. The results are new even in the case of the standard shadowing property.

Abstract:We prove that if the Cauchy problem $\dot{u}=Au$ in a Banach space is hyperbolic, then the problem has the L-shadowing property. Conversely, if the space is finite-dimensional and the L-shadowing property is satisfied, then the problem is hyperbolic. This generalizes a previous result by Ombach \cite{o, o1} for linear homeomorphisms. Some short applications are given.

Abstract:By studying the nonperturbative contribution to the Dokshitzer-Gribov-Lipatov-Altarelli-Parisi and Gribov-Levin-Ryskin equation, it is found that (i) the nonperturbative contribution suppresses the evolution rate at the low $Q^2$, small-x region; (ii) the nonperturbative contribution weakens the shadowing effect. The method in this paper suggests a smooth transition from the low $Q^2$ ("soft"), where nonperturbative contribution dominates, to the large $Q^2$ ("hard") region, where the perturbative contribution dominates and the nonperturbative contribution can be neglected. Abstract:Let $\left(X_n, d_n\right)$ be a sequence of metric spaces and let $\mathcal{F}=\left\{f_n\right\}_{n \in \mathbb{Z}}$ be a sequence of continuous and onto maps $f_n: X_n \rightarrow X_{n+1}, n \in \mathbb{Z}_{+}$. In this paper, we prove that if the compression ratio meets $\prod \lambda_i=0$, then there exists $\delta_n>0$ such that any $\delta_n$ - pseudo-orbit $\left\{x_n\right\}_{n \in \mathbb{Z}}$ is $\varepsilon$ - shadowed by a unique point $x \in X_0$. For the asymptotic average shadowing property, we prove that if $\left.\mathcal{F}\right|_A$ has asymptotically average shadowing property, then $\mathcal{F}$ also has a asymptotically average shadowing propertywhen a density-related condition is satisfied. Additionally, the conclusion that the shadowing performance of strong equicontinuity and pseudo-shadowing property implies limit shadowing is also obtained. Furthermore, the shadowing property of non-autonomous product space is also discussed.

Abstract:We generalize two classical results of Maizel and Pliss that describe relations between hyperbolicity properties of linear system of difference equations and its ability to have a bounded solution for every bounded inhomogeneity. We also apply one of this generalizations in shadowing theory of diffeomorphisms to prove that some sort of limit shadowing is equivalent to structural stability.

Abstract:It is known that hyperbolic linear delay difference equations are shadowable on the half-line. In this paper, we prove the converse and hence the equivalence between hyperbolicity and the positive shadowing property for the following two classes of linear delay difference equations: (a)~for nonautonomous equations with finite delays and uniformly bounded compact coefficient operators in (possibly infinite-dimensional) Banach spaces, (b)~for Volterra difference equations with infinite delay in finite dimensional spaces.

Abstract:Nuclear deep inelastic structure functions ( x , Q 2 ) as well as parton distribution functions in a nuclei are investigated in the framework of rescaling model. Our analysis is based on analytical expressions for quark and gluon densities in a proton derived at the leading order of QCD coupling. By fitting the rescaling parameters from the experimental data on ( x , Q 2 )/ ( x , Q 2 ) ratio for several nuclear targets, we derive predictions for corresponding nuclear parton distributions and, thus, for shadowing and antishadowing effects.

Abstract:The nuclear shadowing and antishadowing effects are explained by a unitarized BFKL equation. The $Q^2$- and $x$-variations of the nuclear parton distributions are detailed based on the level of the unintegrated gluon distribution. In particular, the asymptotical behavior of the unintegrated gluon distribution near the saturation limit in nuclear targets is studied. Our results in the nuclear targets are insensitive to the input distributions if the parameters are fixed by the data of a free proton.

Abstract:In this paper, we study stochastic stability of a dynamical system with shadowing property, which evolves under small random perturbation. We prove that time averages along the pseudo-trajectory converge with respect to stationary measure for the randomly perturbed dynamics. In particular, we prove that stationary measures converge to physical measures when the noise level goes to zero if dynamical system has a shadowing property.
