Abstract:The dominant theoretical uncertainties in both the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon and the value of the electromagnetic coupling at the Z scale, M(Z), arise from their hadronic contributions. Since these will ultimately dominate the experimental errors, we study the correlation between them, as well as with other fundamental parameters. To this end we present analytical formulas for the QCD contribution from higher energies and from heavy quarks. Including these correlations affects the Higgs boson mass extracted from precision data.

Abstract:We compute the complete set of Higgs-mediated chargino-neutralino two-loop contributions to the electric dipole moments of the electron and neutron in the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM). We study the dependence of these contributions on the parameters that govern CP-violation in the MSSM gauge-gaugino-Higgs-Higgsino sector. We find that contributions mediated by the exchange of WH +/- and ZA(0) pairs, where H-+/- and A(0) are the charged and CP-odd Higgs scalars, respectively, are comparable to or dominate over those mediated by the exchange of neutral gauge bosons and CP-even Higgs scalars. We also emphasize that the result of this complete set of diagrams is essential for the full quantitative study of a number of phenomenological issues, such as electric dipole moment searches and their implications for electroweak baryogenesis.

Abstract:The leading contribution to the electric and the chromoelectric dipole moments of the top quark is calculated in Higgs-boson-exchange models of CP nonconservation. The dipole moments are typically of the order of 10(-20) e cm and 10(-20) g cm, respectively, and arise at one-loop order through neutral-Higgs-boson exchange. Several two-loop contributions are estimated to be smaller by about 2 orders of magnitude for the electric case and about 1 order of magnitude smaller for the chromoelectric case. The q2 dependence of the dipole moment form factor is given for possible application to experimental searches.

Abstract:In this work, we make the first study of electroweak baryogenesis (EWBG) based on the LHC data in the CP-violating next-to-minimal supersymmetric model (NMSSM) where a strongly first order electroweak phase transition (EWPT) is obtained in the general complex Higgs potential. With representative benchmark points which pass the current LEP and LHC constraints, we demonstrate the structure of EWPT for those points and how a strongly first order EWPT is obtained in the complex NMSSM where the resulting gravitational wave production properties are found to be within the reaches of future space-based interferometers like BBO and Ultimate-DECIGO. We further calculate the generated baryon asymmetries where the CP violating sources are (1): higgsino-singlino dominated, (2): higgsino-gaugino dominated or (3): from both sources. It is shown that all three representing scenarios could evade the strong constraints set by various electric dipole moments (EDM) searches where cancellations among the EDM contributions occur at the tree level (higgsino-singlino dominated) or loop level (higgsino-gaugino dominated). The 125 GeV SM like Higgs can be either the second lightest neutral Higgs H2 or the third lightest neutral Higgs H3. Finally, we comment on the future direct and indirect probe of CPV in the Higgs sector from the collider and EDM experiments.

Abstract:In the CP-violating minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model (MSSM), we study the two-loop diagrams without the one-loop self-energy, and they are composed of virtual neutralino–slepton-Z. We obtain electroweak corrections to the anomalous magnetic dipole moment (MDM) of muon. With electromagnetic gauge invariance, the Wilson coefficients of dimension-5 operators contributing to the MDM of muon are deduced. To remove the ultra-violet divergences induced by the divergent sub-diagrams, we use the on-shell scheme. The numerical results are about 8.8×10-11, i.e. at the same order of present experimental precision, which indicates these two-loop diagrams are important.

Abstract:Considering the CP violating phases, we analyze the neutron electric dipole moment (EDM) in a CP violating supersymmetric extension of the standard model where baryon and lepton numbers are local gauge symmetries(BLMSSM). The contributions from the one loop diagrams and the Weinberg operators are taken into account. Adopting some assumptions on the relevant parameter space, we give the numerical results analysis. The numerical results for the neutron EDM can reach 1.05 × 10−25(e.cm), which is about the experimental upper limit.

Abstract:The supersymmetric standard model (SSM) has a CP-violating phase in its gauge-Higgs sector. This new source of CP violation induces the electric dipole moments (EDMs) of the neutron and electron at the one-loop level. The same CP-violating phase generates the EDM of the $W$ boson through one-loop diagrams mediated by the charginos and neutralinos, which leads to the EDMs of the neutron and electron at the two-loop level. We discuss these EDMs, assuming that the CP-violating phase has the magnitude of order 0.1--1 which may be suggested from the baryon asymmetry of the universe. Even at the two-loop level the neutron and the electron could have EDMs which are smaller than their experimental upper bounds by only one order of magnitude. Since these two-loop contributions do not depend on the values of SSM parameters for the squark or slepton sector, they provide predictions for the EDMs less ambiguous than the one-loop contributions.

Abstract:We perform a study on the predictions of electric-dipole moments of neutron, Mercury (Hg), Thallium (Tl), deuteron, and Radium (Ra) in the framework of next-to-minimal supersymmetric standard model with $CP$-violating parameters in the superpotential and soft-supersymmetry-breaking sector. We confine to the case in which only the physical tree-level $CP$ phase (${\ensuremath{\phi}}_{\ensuremath{\lambda}}^{\ensuremath{'}}\ensuremath{-}{\ensuremath{\phi}}_{\ensuremath{\kappa}}^{\ensuremath{'}}$), associated with the couplings of the singlet terms in the superpotential and with the vacuum-expectation-values, takes on a nonzero value. We found that the one-loop contributions from neutralinos are mostly small while the two-loop Higgs-mediated contributions of the Barr-Zee type diagrams dominate. We emphasize a scenario motivated by electroweak baryogenesis.

Abstract:In the supersymmetric standard model (SSM) the $W$-boson could have a non-vanishing electric dipole moment (EDM) through a one-loop diagram mediated by the charginos and neutralinos. Then the $W$-boson EDM induces the EDMs of the neutron and the electron. We discuss these EDMs, taking into consideration the constraints from the neutron and electron EDMs at one-loop level induced by the charginos and squarks or sleptons. It is shown that the neutron and the electron could respectively have EDMs of order of $10^{-26}e$cm and $10^{-27}e$cm, solely owing to the $W$-boson EDM. Since these EDMs do not depend on the values of SSM parameters for the squark or slepton sector, they provide less ambiguous predictions for CP violation in the SSM.

Abstract:In the context of supersymmetry, the two-loop Barr-Zee diagrams which induce CP-violating electric dipole moment of electron due to superpartners simultaneously yield CP-conserving magnetic dipole moment of muon. In this paper, we derive the coherence between the electric and magnetic dipole moments at two-loop level due to stops, charginos or neutralinos-charginos. We also use the coherence to constrain superpartner masses and their CP-violating phases, in the light of recent ACME limit on the electric dipole moment of electron and future experiments about magnetic dipole moment of muon such as Fermilab E989 experiment.
Electroweak corrections to Higgs boson production via Z Z fusion at the future LHeC

Abstract:An important mechanism for production of the Higgs boson at the prospective Large Hadron-electron Collider (LHeC) is via neutral current (NC) weak boson fusion (WBF) processes. Aside from its role in measurements of Higgs couplings within the standard model, this production mode is particularly useful in searchings of Higgs decays into invisble particles in various models for the Higg portal dark matter. In this work we compute the electroweak corrections for the NC WBF at the LHeC up to the 1-loop level. For a center-of-mass energy of 1.98 TeV, the magnitudes of the relative corrections for the total cross section at next-to-leading (NLO) order are respectively 8% and 17%, in the two renormalization schemes we use. The NLO terms also distort various distributions (notably, those for Higgs and electron observables) computed at the leading order. Along with our previous treatment of the charge current processes, this paper completes the calulation of the NLO EW effects for the dominant Higgs production modes at the LHeC.

Abstract:We study the viability of electroweak baryogenesis in a two Higgs doublet model scenario augmented by vector-like, electroweakly interacting fermions. Considering a limited, but illustrative region of the model parameter space, we obtain the observed cosmic baryon asymmetry while satisfying present constraints from the non-observation of the permanent electric dipole moment (EDM) of the electron and the combined ATLAS and CMS result for the Higgs boson diphoton decay rate. The observation of a non-zero electron EDM in a next generation experiment and/or the observation of an excess (over the Standard Model) of Higgs to diphoton events with the 14 TeV LHC run or a future e + e − collider would be consistent with generation of the observed baryon asymmetry in this scenario.

Abstract:In this paper we calculate the one loop contributions to the CP violating three gauge boson couplings in two-Higgs doublet and Left--Right symmetric models. In the two-Higgs doublet model only a P conserving and CP violating coupling is generated, and it can be large as $10^{-3}$. In the Left--Right symmetric model both P conserving and violating couplings are generated. Due to constraints on the $W_L$--$W_R$ mixing, these couplings are small.

Abstract:A bstract We consider the two-loop corrections to the HW + W − vertex at order αα s . We construct a canonical basis for the two-loop integrals using the Baikov representation and the intersection theory. By solving the ε -form differential equations, we obtain fully analytic expressions for the master integrals in terms of multiple polylogarithms, which allow fast and accurate numeric evaluation for arbitrary configurations of external momenta. We apply our analytic results to the decay process H → ν e eW , and study both the integrated and differential decay rates. Our results can also be applied to the Higgs production process via W boson fusion.

Abstract:We calculate helicity amplitudes for e−e+→W−W+ analytically in the Feynman-diagram (FD) gauge. We show that, unlike in the unitary gauge, there is no energy growth of the individual Feynman amplitudes for the longitudinally polarized W bosons, and the contributions from the associated Goldstone bosons are manifest even without taking the high-energy limit. Abstract:We present the first complete two-loop calculation of the electric dipole moment of the electron, as well as the rates of the lepton-flavor violating decays $\mu \to e + \gamma$ and $\tau \to e/\mu + \gamma$, in the unconstrained two-Higgs doublet model. We include the most generic Yukawa interactions of the Higgs doublets with the Standard Model fermions up to quadratic order, and allow for generic phases in the Higgs potential.
