Abstract:In this paper, we consider a class of functionals subject to a duality restriction. The functional is of the form J(Ω,Ω*)=∫Ωf+∫Ω*g $\mathcal{J}\left({\Omega},{{\Omega}}^{{\ast}}\right)={\int }_{{\Omega}}f+{\int }_{{{\Omega}}^{{\ast}}}g$ , where f, g are given nonnegative functions in a manifold. The duality is a relation α(x, y) ≤ 0 ∀ x ∈ Ω, y ∈ Ω*, for a suitable function α. This model covers several geometric and physical applications. In this paper we review two topological methods introduced in the study of the functional, and discuss possible extensions of the methods to related problems.

Abstract:This paper surveys some results on Wick product and Wick renormalization. The framework is the abstract Wiener space. Some known results on Wick product and Wick renormalization in the white noise analysis framework are presented for classical random variables. Some conditions are described for random variables whose Wick product or whose renormalization are integrable random variables. Relevant results on multiple Wiener integrals, second quantization operator, Malliavin calculus and their relations with the Wick product and Wick renormalization are also briefly presented. A useful tool for Wick product is the $S$-transform which is also described without the introduction of generalized random variables.

Abstract:We study boundary values of harmonic functions in spaces of quasianalytic functionals and spaces of ultradistributions of non-quasianalytic type. As an application, we provide a new approach to Hörmander's support theorem for quasianalytic functionals. Our main technical tool is a description of ultradifferentiable functions by almost harmonic functions, a concept that we introduce in this article. We work in the setting of ultradifferentiable classes defined via weight matrices. In particular, our results simultaneously apply to the two standard classes defined via weight sequences and via weight functions.

Abstract:Let be an infinite set of linear arbitrary functionals. Also let be a certain set of basis functions such that δ i, j being (as usual) the Kronecker delta. In this paper, by defining the sequence of basis functions: in which u(x) is an arbitrary real function, we construct a new functional expansion for analytic functions and then introduce three important subclasses of this functional expansion that correspond, respectively, to the orthogonal polynomial expansion, the Taylor series expansion, and the Fourier trigonometric expansion.

Abstract:In this paper, we provide proofs for the analytic characterization theorems of the operator symbols utilizing the characterization theorem for the Mittag-Leffler distribution space.We work out examples which can be interpreted as integral kernel operators and treat the important case of the translation operator.

Abstract: According to Sakellaridis, many zeta integrals in the theory of automorphic forms can be produced or explained by appropriate choices of a Schwartz space of test functions on a spherical homogeneous space, which are in turn dictated by the geometry of affine spherical embeddings. We pursue this perspective by developing a local counterpart and try to explicate the functional equations. These constructions are also related to the $L^2$-spectral decomposition of spherical homogeneous spaces in view of the Gelfand-Kostyuchenko method. To justify this viewpoint, we prove the convergence of $p$-adic local zeta integrals under certain premises, work out the case of prehomogeneous vector spaces and re-derive a large portion of Godement-Jacquet theory. Furthermore, we explain the doubling method and show that it fits into the paradigm of $L$-monoids developed by L. Lafforgue, B. C. Ngo et al., by reviewing the constructions of Braverman and Kazhdan (2002). In the global setting, we give certain speculations about global zeta integrals, Poisson formulas and their relation to period integrals.

Abstract:This is (raw) lecture notes of the course read on 6th European intensive course on Complex Analysis (Coimbra, Portugal) in 2000. Our purpose is to describe a general framework for generalizations of the complex analysis. As a consequence a classification scheme for different generalizations is obtained. The framework is based on wavelets (coherent states) in Banach spaces generated by ``admissible'' group representations. Reduced wavelet transform allows naturally describe in abstract term main objects of an analytical function theory: the Cauchy integral formula, the Hardy and Bergman spaces, the Cauchy-Riemann equation, and the Taylor expansion. Among considered examples are classical analytical function theories (one complex variables, several complex variables, Clifford analysis, Segal-Bargmann space) as well as new function theories which were developed within our framework (function theory of hyperbolic type, Clifford version of Segal-Bargmann space). We also briefly discuss applications to the operator theory (functional calculus) and quantum mechanics.

Abstract:For λ≥0 , a C2 function f defined on the unit disk D is said to be λ -analytic if Dz̄f=0 , where Dz̄ is the (complex) Dunkl operator given by Dz̄f=∂z̄f−λ(f(z)−f(z̄))/(z−z̄) . The aim of the paper is to study several problems on the associated Bergman spaces Aλp(D) and Hardy spaces Hλp(D) for p≥2λ/(2λ+1) , such as boundedness of the Bergman projection, growth of functions, density, completeness, and the dual spaces of Aλp(D) and Hλp(D) , and characterization and interpolation of Aλp(D) .

Abstract:The aim of this paper is to begin a systematic study of functional inequalities on symmetric spaces of noncompact type of higher rank. Our first main goal of this study is to establish the Stein–Weiss inequality, also known as a weighted Hardy–Littlewood–Sobolev inequality, for the Riesz potential on symmetric spaces of noncompact type. This is achieved by performing delicate estimates of ground spherical function with the use of polyhedral distance on symmetric spaces and by combining the integral Hardy inequality developed by Ruzhansky and Verma with the sharp Bessel-Green-Riesz kernel estimates on symmetric spaces of noncompact type obtained by Anker and Ji. As a consequence of the Stein–Weiss inequality, we deduce Hardy–Sobolev, Hardy–Littlewood–Sobolev, Gagliardo–Nirenberg and Caffarelli–Kohn–Nirenberg inequalities on symmetric spaces of noncompact type. The second main purpose of this paper is to show the applications of aforementioned inequalities for studying nonlinear PDEs on symmetric spaces. Specifically, we show that the Gagliardo-Nirenberg inequality can be used to establish small data global existence results for the semilinear wave equations with damping and mass terms for the Laplace–Beltrami operator on symmetric spaces.

From Amplitudes to Analytic Wavefunctions

Abstract:The field-theoretic wavefunction has received renewed attention with the goal of better understanding observables at the boundary of de Sitter spacetime and studying the interior of Minkowski or general FLRW spacetime. Understanding the analytic structure of the wavefunction potentially allows us to establish bounds on physical observables. In this paper we develop an amplitude representation for the flat space wavefunction, which allow us to write the flat space wavefunction as an amplitude-like Feynman integral integrated over an energy-fixing kernel. With this representation it is possible to separate the wavefunction into an amplitude part and a subleading part which is less divergent as the total energy goes to zero. In turn the singularities of the wavefunction can be classified into two sets: amplitude-type singularities, which can be mapped to singularities found in amplitudes (including anomalous thresholds), and wavefunction-type singularities, which are unique to the wavefunction. As an example we study several tree level and one loop diagrams for scalars, and explore their singularities in detail.

Abstract:Roughly spoken, Functionalanalysis means the study of the category of infinite-dimensional vectorspaces over the field of real or complex numbers, together with their linear maps. In most cases, one further needs a topological structure on such a vectorspace, because then, you can consider the continuous linear maps between such spaces. The name Functionalanalysis is due to the fact, that in the beginning of the theory, the authors wanted to expand Calculus onto functionals of spaces of functions. Functionalanalytical results give the possibility to solve problems in the Theory of (Partial) Differential Equations, in Complex Analysis or in Quantum Mechanics. But the aim of this lines is not to explain the applications. We will discuss the mathematical theory of almost metric spaces, normed vector spaces and algebras, spaces of continuous resp. $p$-integrable functions as well as reflexive and uniformly convex spaces.

Abstract:We establish coanalytic models for a broad class of Hardy-type operators on L 2 [0, 1]. In particular, we show that the logarithmic Hardy operator is unitarily equivalent to the difference between the identity operator and the backward shift on a Bergman-type space. This result leads to several applications related to zero sets and invariant subspaces in weighted Bergman spaces. Additionally, we study logarithmic Hardy operators on L p [0, 1] and obtain results concerning their boundedness, operator norms, and spectra.

Nonlinear Functionals of Hyperbolic Random Waves: the Wiener Chaos Approach

Abstract:We consider Gaussian random waves on hyperbolic spaces and establish variance asymptotics and central limit theorems for a large class of their integral functionals, both in the high-frequency and large domain limits. Our strategy of proof relies on a fine analysis of Wiener chaos expansions, which in turn requires us to analytically assess the fluctuations of integrals involving mixed moments of covariance kernels. Our results complement several recent findings on non-linear transforms of planar and arithmetic random waves, as well as of random spherical harmonics. In the particular case of 2-dimensional hyperbolic spaces, our analysis reveals an intriguing discrepancy between the high-frequency and large domain fluctuations of the so-called fourth polyspectra -- a phenomenon that has no counterpart in the Euclidean setting. We develop applications of a geometric flavor, most notably to excursion volumes and occupation densities.
