Abstract:We construct central elements in a completion of the quantum affine algebra at the critical level c=-g from the universal R-matrix (g being the dual Coxeter number of the corresponding simple Lie algebra), using the method of Reshetikhin and Semenov-Tian-Shansky. This construction defines an action of the Grothendieck algebra of the category of finite-dimensional representations of the quantum affine algebra on any module over this algebra from category O with c=-g. We explain the connection between the central elements and transfer matrices in statistical mechanics. In the quasiclassical approximation this connection was explained by Feigin, E.Frenkel, and Reshetikhin in hep-th 9402022, and it was mentioned that one could generalize it to the quantum case to get Bethe vectors for transfer matrices. Using this connection, we prove that the central elements (for all finite dimensional representations) applied to the highest weight vector of a generic Verma module at the critical level generate the whole space of singular vectors in this module. We also compute the first term of the quasiclassical expansion of the central elements near q=1, and show that it always gives the Sugawara current with a certain coefficient.

Abstract:We establish an algebra isomorphism between the center of the category $\mathcal{O}$ for a hybrid quantum group at a root of unity $\zeta$ and the cohomology of $\zeta$-fixed locus on affine Grassmannian. A deformed version of this isomorphism was established in the previous paper of the author. For the Steinberg block of $\mathcal{O}$, we construct an abelian equivalence to the category of equivariant sheaves on the Springer resolution.

Abstract:We construct quantizations of multiplicative hypertoric varieties using an algebra of q-difference operators on affine space, where q is a root of unity in C. The quantization defines a matrix bundle (i.e. Azumaya algebra) over the multiplicative hypertoric variety and admits an explicit finite étale splitting. The global sections of this Azumaya algebra is a hypertoric quantum group, and we prove a localization theorem. We introduce a general framework of Frobenius quantum moment maps and their Hamiltonian reductions; our results shed light on an instance of this framework.

Quantum Grassmannians and their Associated Quantum Schubert Varieties at roots of unity

Abstract:We study the PI degree of various quantum algebras at roots of unity, including quantum Grassmannians, quantum Schubert varieties, partition subalgebras, and their associated quantum affine spaces. By a theorem of De Concini and Procesi, the PI degree of partition subalgebras and their associated quantum affine spaces is controlled by skew-symmetric integral matrices associated to (Cauchon-Le) diagrams. We prove that the invariant factors of these matrices are always powers of 2. This allows us to compute explicitly the PI degree of partition subalgebras. Our results also apply to certain completely prime (homogeneous) quotients of partition subalgebras. In particular, our results allow us to extend results of Jakobsen and Jondrup regarding the PI degree of quantum determinantal rings at roots of unity [JJ01] and we present a method to construct an irreducible representation of maximal dimension for quantum determinantal ideals. Building on these results, we use the strong connection between partition subalgebras and quantum Schubert varieties through noncommutative dehomogenisation [LR08] to obtain expressions for the PI degree of quantum Schubert varieties. In particular, we compute the PI degree of quantum Grassmannians.

Abstract:In this article, the two-parameter quantum Heisenberg enveloping algebra, which serves as a model for certain quantum generalized Heisenberg algebras, have been studied at roots of unity. In this context, the quantum Heisenberg enveloping algebra becomes a polynomial identity algebra, and the dimension of simple modules is bounded by its PI degree. The PI degree, center, and complete classification of simple modules up to isomorphism are explicitly presented. We work over a field of arbitrary characteristic, although our results concerning the representations require that it is algebraically closed.

Symmetry Integrability and Geometry Methods and Applications

Abstract:We prove that the quantum graph algebra and the quantum moduli algebra associated to a punctured sphere and complex semisimple Lie algebra are Noetherian rings and finitely generated rings over . Moreover, we show that these two properties still hold on for the integral version of the quantum graph algebra. We also study the specializations of the quantum graph algebra at a root of unity of odd order, and show that and its invariant algebra under the quantum group have classical fraction algebras which are central simple algebras of PI degrees that we compute.

Abstract: We propose a new geometric model for the center of the small quantum group using the cohomology of certain affine Springer fibers. More precisely, we establish an isomorphism between the equivariant cohomology of affine Spaltenstein fibers for a split element and the center of the deformed graded modules for the small quantum group. We also obtain an embedding from the invariant part of the nonequivariant cohomology under the action of the extended affine Weyl group to the invariant part of the center of the small quantum group under Langlands dual group action, which we conjecture to be an isomorphism. Finally, we give a dimension formula for the invariants on the cohomology side, thus providing a lower bound for the dimension of the center.

Abstract:We define the Wajsberg-center and the OML-center of a quantum-Wajsberg algebra, and study their structures. We prove that the Wajsberg-center is a Wajsberg subalgebra of a quantum-Wajsberg algebra, and that it is a distributive sublattice of its corresponding poset. If the quantum-Wajsberg algebra is quasi-linear, we show that the Wajsberg-center is a linearly ordered Wajsberg algebra. We also show that the lattice subreduct of the Wajsberg-center is a Kleene algebra. Furthermore, we prove that the OML-center is an orthomodular lattice, and the orthomodular lattices form a subvariety of the variety of quantum-Wajsberg algebras.

Abstract:A natural family of quantized matrix algebras is introduced. It includes the two best studied such. Located inside Uq(A2n−1), it consists of quadratic algebras with the same Hilbert series as polynomials in n2 variables. We discuss their general properties and investigate some members of the family in great detail with respect to associated varieties, degrees, centers, and symplectic leaves. Finally, the space of rank r matrices becomes a Poisson submanifold, and there is an associated tensor category of rank ⩽r matrices.

Under the roots of unity assumption, the algebra becomes a Polynomial Identity algebra and the vector space dimension of the simple modules is bounded above by its PI degree. The article systematically classifies all potential simple modules and computes the algebra's center.

Abstract:We describe a connection between the subjects of cluster algebras, polynomial identity algebras and discriminants. For this, we define the notion of root of unity quantum cluster algebras and prove that they are polynomial identity algebras. Inside each such algebra we construct a (large) canonical central subalgebra, which can be viewed as a far reaching generalization of the central subalgebras of big quantum groups constructed by De Concini, Kac and Procesi and used in representation theory. Each such central subalgebra is proved to be isomorphic to the underlying classical cluster algebra of geometric type. When the root of unity quantum cluster algebra is free over its central subalgebra, we prove that the discriminant of the pair is a product of powers of the frozen variables times an integer. An extension of this result is also proved for the discriminants of all subalgebras generated by the cluster variables of nerves in the exchange graph. These results can be used for the effective computation of discriminants. As an application we prove an explicit formula for the discriminant of the integral form over ${\mathbb{Z}}[\varepsilon]$ of each quantum unipotent cells of De Concini, Kac and Procesi for arbitrary symmetrizable Kac-Moody algebras, where $\varepsilon$ is a root of unity.

Abstract:We introduce a novel commutative C*-algebra $C_\mathcal{R}(X)$ of functions on a symplectic vector space $(X,\sigma)$ admitting a complex structure, along with a strict deformation quantization that maps a dense subalgebra of $C_\mathcal{R}(X)$ to the resolvent algebra introduced by Buchholz and Grundling [JFA, 2008]. The associated quantization map is a field-theoretical Weyl quantization compatible with the work of Binz, Honegger and Rieckers [AHPO, 2004]. We also define a Berezin-type quantization map on all of $C_\mathcal{R}(X)$, which continuously and injectively maps it onto a dense subset of the resolvent algebra. The commutative resolvent algebra $C_\mathcal{R}(X)$, generally defined on a real inner product space $X$, intimately depends on the finite dimensional subspaces of $X$. We thoroughly analyze the structure of this algebra in the finite dimensional case by giving a characterization of its elements and by computing its Gelfand spectrum.

Abstract:Let P := P m×n denote the quantized coordinate ring of the space of m × n matrices. We introduce a q-analog PD of the algebra of polynomial coefficient differential operators inside End(P) and we prove that PD is an integral form of the algebra Pol(Mat m×n ) q introduced earlier by Shklyarov-Sinel'shchikov-Vaksman [SSV04]. Let L and R denote the images in End(P) of the natural actions of the quantized enveloping algebras U q (gl m ) and U q (gl n ), respectively, and let L h and R h denote the images of their Cartan subalgebras. Our main result is that L ∩ PD and R ∩ PD are mutual centralizers in PD, and using this, we establish a new First Fundamental Theorem of invariant theory for U q (gl n ). We also determine explicit generators of the subalgebras L h ∩ PD and R h ∩ PD in terms of q-determinants.

On some algebraic and geometric aspects of the quantum unitary group

Abstract:Consider the compact quantum group $U_q(2)$, where $q$ is a non-zero complex deformation parameter such that $|q|\neq 1$. Let $C(U_q(2))$ denote the underlying $C^*$-algebra of the compact quantum group $U_q(2)$. We prove that if $q$ is a non-real complex number and $q^\prime$ is real, then the underlying $C^*$-algebras $C(U_q(2))$ and $C(U_{q^\prime}(2))$ are non-isomorphic. This is in sharp contrast with the case of braided $SU_q(2)$, introduced earlier by Woronowicz et al., where $q$ is a non-zero complex deformation parameter. In another direction, on a geometric aspect of $U_q(2)$, we introduce torus action on the $C^*$-algebra $C(U_q(2))$ and obtain a $C^*$-dynamical system $(C(U_q(2)),\mathbb{T}^3,\alpha)$. We construct a $\mathbb{T}^3$-equivariant spectral triple for $U_q(2)$ that is even and $3^+$-summable. It is shown that the Dirac operator is K-homologically nontrivial.
