A Novel ZVZCS Dual Switch Forward Converter

Abstract:A novel ZCZVS dual switch forward converter is proposed which could realize zero current and zero voltage switching with two additional circuits.The active clamp circuit helps the primary switches to have zero-voltage switching and to expend the duty cycle,while the proposed ZCS circuit helps the primary switches and the rectifier diode to have zero-current switching.So far,all the primary switches are working under soft switching mode.The proposed converter has a simple structure and minimum number of components compared with other ZCZVS dual switch forward converters.At last,a 250W prototype is provided to verify the theory.
