Abstract:PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) is successfully applied in Huzhou Central Hospital, and is well integrated with its HIS system by WEBSERVICE middleware. The system supports DICOM 3.0 Standard, and DICOM gateways are installed for modalities that do not support DICOM so as to have implemented the digitalization of all the image departments in the hospital.

Abstract:The development of hospital business demands the integration of information systems. After studying the relative technologies for system connection,system integration and different modes of connecting system, we put forward a protocol to integrate the existing laboratory information system( LIS) and hospital information system(HIS). It introduces the multi-tier distributed technical methods for improving the client/server applications; it ascertains the units and transactions participating in workflow integration by referencing the IHE( Integrating the Healthcare Enterprises) Laboratory Technology Framework; it implements information exchange by Health Level 7(HL7) standards; and it can conserve previous investment and avoid some problems of security, maintenance and realtime process without the risk of massively updating system.

Abstract:Objective Based on the existing Junwei No.1 HIS system which has been widely applied in most military hospi-tals, a performance management evaluation system was thus developed, and data excavation and analysis were made accordingly. Methods The system adopted the BS+CS frame structure, the data layer was based on the platform of Oracle database, and the ap-plied service layer and the client program were developed with Visual Studio 2008.Results 《The Performance Management and Ap-praisal System for Military Hospitals》had certain capacity of data excavation and analysis, flexible generation of report forms and could provide data support for perfect decision-making.Conclusion 《The Performance Management and Appraisal System for Military Hospi-tals》 fully confirmed to the design requirements, could effectively improve the working efficiency and quality of performance appraisal, and could on the whole satisfy the demands of large hospitals.

Abstract:Objective To design the integration interface between HIS and RIS/PACS based on HL7. Methods The interface was designed by analyzing the HL7 message format and considering the current integrated data exchange process of HIS and RIS/PACS. Results The HL7 integration between HIS and RIS/PACS was achieved. Conclusion By using HL7 to integrate HIS and RIS/PACS, working efficiency in hospitals has been improved with the coupling of systems reduced and the extensibility and maintainability greatly enhanced.

Abstract:In medical clinical practice, physicians need to acquire the image and text information of the patient. All the information will be of benefit for physicians to diagnose disease, improve clinical treatment, and do research work. But the information is distributed in different systems, such as medical image information in PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and text records in HIS (Hospital Information System). Today many hospitals are suffering from lack of an integrated system with PACS and HIS. This paper compares PACS with HIS and puts forward a distributed integration method of integrating the PACS and HIS with the prevailing WWW technology. In such a method, the image and the text information are regarded as the common object and the operation whereon as the object operation. Thus the method integrates the PACS with HIS effectively and implements the information resources sharing with the use of web technology.

Abstract:This paper takes Guizhou Provincial Peoples' Hospital as an example to demonstrate the design and implementation of the antibacterial management information system in the hospital on the basis of corresponding standards promulgated by National Health and Family Planning Commission of PR. China. Moreover, the hospital realizes management of antibacterial through combination of the HIS(Hospital Information System) with the system according to the practical situation of the hospital. After one-year practice of the system, the hospital accomplishes integration of the information resources and makes further attempts to manage and control the antibacterial.

Abstract:Huadong hospital in Shanghai with 700 beds provides health care services for inpatients and outpatients, as well as special senior and VIP patients. In order to move to digital imaging based radiology practice, and also provide better intra-hospital clinical services for senior and VIP patients, we started designing and planning PACS implementation from September of 1999. Based on the radiology service model and current workflow in Huadong hospital, we implemented PACS in following steps: In phase I, we designed PALS infrastructure and implemented PACS networks connecting to most digital modalities, reading rooms and clinical buildings, we also built NT-based module PALS for every kind of digital imaging modality with DICOM communication capability. In phase II, we developed an UNIX based PACS central server connecting to the individual module PACS for image routing, querying and retrieving among different departments and modality sections, and also installed specially designed interactive teleconsultation display workstations in radiology sections and clinical departments for consultation services. In phase III, we will integrate RIS into PACS infrastructure to optimize PACS dataflow and improve radiology workflow to achieve better performance and more efficient services. In this presentation, we will also discuss the PACS design strategies and implementation methods in Huadong hospitals to decrease the risks and to increase the positive responses from the partners and end users.

Abstract:The history of PACS is short in years but already long in achievements. The idea of a picture archiving and communication system (PACS) and a filmless hospital was created in the early 1980s. In a PACS environment, images are acquired, read, communicated, and stored digitally [H. Abstract:A maintenance management system for medical equipment is developed based on HIS.The system contains some special functions(including preventive maintenance,automatic job distribution,performance assessment,etc.)which are very useful for confirming the medical equipment in proper conditions and promoting the working efficiency of the staff.The system provides a technical support for the improvement of the maintenance management level.The CS/BS combined mode is adopted so that the maintenance is exempted at the users' end,and the data operation and statistical work become convenient at the engineering department's end.Furthermore,it provides a platform for future hospital information integration.

Abstract:In this paper, we give a solution of developing a RIS-integrated PACS system especially for medium and small hospitals, or community clinics. Based on the IHE's technical framework for information interchange and data workflow, fully consider the department of radiology's requirements of radiological examination, diagnosis on images, reporting, workflow management, we design and implement a RIS-Integrated PACS system. This presentation gave a new approach to realize full digital management in department of radiology and seamless integration with modalities,RIS,HIS and community electronic patient records (EPR).In order to guarantee the quality of imaging diagnosis in community hospitals or clinics, the design and implementation of RIS-integrated PACS should adopt the international (national) standards such as IHE、HL7、DICOM XML etc in image communication and work flow management, also the image data and diagnostic reports should be treated as parts of EPR or EHR in regional healthcare information systems.

Abstract:Objective How to provide medical services for the patients with medical insurance and to ensure military medical information & related medical information security at the same time is the key content of the scheme.Methods Based on sampling survey and repeated demonstration of a number of hospitals,we put forward the boundary with safe isolation and business activity monitoring technology,the white list mechanism and the three-in-one multiple mechanism based on user identity authentication,the host hardware certification and authentication of applications in the access control,the sandbox technology in the clients' usage.Besides that,other security measures have been taken to ensure the comprehensive protection of military hospital intranet network security and information security.Results Through more than two years of application,it has been indicated that this security solution can effectively ensure the hospital HIS network and data security.Conclusion the application of satisfactory effect,this scheme can reach the expected design requirements.

Abstract:Objective: To discuss the feasibility and necessity of using HIS data integration to build large data warehouse system which is extensively used on re-evaluation of post-marketing traditional Chinese medicine, and to provide the thought and method of the overall design for it. Method: With domestic and overseas' analysis and comparison on clinical experiments' design based on real world using electronic information system, and with characteristics of HIS in China, a general framework was designed and discussed which refers to design thought, design characteristics, existing problems and solutions and so on. Result: A design scheme of HIS data warehouse on re-evaluation of post-marketing traditional Chinese medicine was presented. Conclusion: The design scheme was proved to be high coherence and low coupling, safe, Universal, efficient and easy to maintain, which can effectively solve the problems many hospitals have faced during the process of HIS data integration.
