Abstract:Objective:To probe into the intervention effect of health education on knowledge,attitude and behaviors of floating population in poor rural areas toward AIDS.Methods:Lantian county of Shaanxi province was the project county.People from 8 villages of 2 townships in Lantian county were selected by random sampling method and were randomly divided into intervention group and control group.People of intervention group had been carried out comprehensive health education for 4 months.Then the intervention effect for all people was evaluated by adopting HIV/AIDS knowledge,attitude and behaviors questionnaire.Results:The total score of floating population in poor rural areas toward AIDS related knowledge questionnaire was 24.66±4.69(0~36).The total score of attitude questionnaire of them was 45.43±11.23(0~75).The rate of condom use among them was low.The purpose of using condom mainly was for contraception.Non-marital sexual behavior between both groups respectively accounted to 2.6%,4.0%.After the comprehensive health education,both AIDS related knowledge score and the total score of intervention group population were higher than that of before education(P<0.05).Scores of attitude toward ethics and morals,toward HIV/AIDS and total score of intervention group population were higher than that of before education(P<0.05).The rate of using condom was 100.0%.The purpose of using condom was for the prevention of sexual transmitted diseases.And non-marital sexual behavior among them decreased remarkably.There were statistical significant differences between intervention group and control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The general cognition level of floating population in poor rural areas toward AIDS was low.The positive tendency of related attitude of them toward AIDS was poor.They had some high risk behaviors.Comprehensive health education for floating population in poor rural areas has better intervention effect on enhancing AIDS related knowledge,changing attitude and behaviors of them.
