Abstract:Digital hospital is an important goal of the hospital construction,which is significant for promoting medical development and improving healthcare quality.The intension of digital hospital is discussed in details and its definition is put forward based on the characteristics analysis of typical digital hospitals at abroad.Then the construction goals of digital hospital are brought forward from the aspects of hospital intelligentization and hospital normalization,which are about building structure,service for hospital demands,centralized management of data,clinical data repository and electronic medical records.The development trend of digital hospital is forecasted from six aspects,combined with the progresses of medical science and IT.
Effects of admission and discharge procedure information management in nurse station on doctor-patient relationship

Abstract:Objective To explore the characteristic and actual operation effects of admission and discharge procedure information management in nurse station,and analyze admission and discharge procedure information management impacted on doctor-patient relationship.Methods The comparison were conducted before and after the utilization of admission and discharge procedure information management from April to October 2014 in changing the number of people using information management,satisfaction comparison of using information management, quantization reacting the impacts of information management on doctor-patient relationship.Results After the implementation of information management,the satisfactions of patients were 96.5%,93.6%,98.2%,97.8% for admission procedure,service attitude,payment method,acquirement of medical information,which all were higher than that of the control group (P <0.05 ).After information management,the rates of admission and discharge via the process of information management were 84.21% and 83,41%.Conclusions The admission and discharge information management of the nurses′station simplified the procedure of patient′s admission and discharge,so as to improve the patient′s satisfaction of hospitalization.

Abstract:Objective:To analyze the situation of recent ten-year publications in Chinese hospital libraries, providing advice for the development and innovation of hospital libraries and the help to improvement of scientific research management.Methods:Publications in databases including CNKI, Wanfang, VIP were retrieved when " hospital library" is included as a key topic. The general information of the enrolled publications was statistically described. With respect to the key words with high frequency, co-word analysis and cluster analysis were performed to explore the research hotspots in hospital libraries.Results:The number of publications in Chinese hospital libraries shows an overall downward trend. By contrast, the total numbers of publications in hospital libraries from Shandong and Guangzhou rank top. In terms of the ratio of total number of publications to total number of hospitals, Liaoning and Chongqing rank top. The periodicals of interest are mainly grouped into three categories including intelligence information, library and hospital management; however, the cooperation with clinical or other departments should be strengthened. Discipline and personalized service, digital library and library innovation are the dominating research hotspots in hospital libraries from China. Studies of hospital library mainly focused on clinical and scientific research services, but paid less attention to the support to hospital scientific research management.Conclusions:The service of hospital library is involved in the whole process of scientific research management. To improve the role of hospital library in scientific management, embedded service is recommended to be applied into the whole process of hospital scientific research management; construction of institutional repository for scientific research management and transformation of the role of hospital library are also highly recommended.

Abstract:Objective To understand websites of public hospitals in China.Methods Website search and appraisal were called into play to analyze the percentage and present conditions of websites built by public hospitals in Shanghai,Hubei Province and Gansu Province.Rusults The study found websites in less than 55％ of the public hospitals in these three areas.Those websites in operation provide instant information on hospitals and medical services,yet their online service functions are less satisfactory and website levels vary sharply.Conclusion The authors recommend the Chinese government encourage public hospitals to build websites and enhance their online services.

Abstract:OBJECTIVE:With the help of quality control circle(QCC) to construct pharmacy department website,and to improve service level of hospital pharmacy information.METHODS:On the subject of "Construction and Maintenance of Pharmacy Department Website",10 steps of QCC were implemented in pharmacy department of our hospital during Sept.2010-Apr.2011.Visible achievements and invisible achievements were evaluated after the implementation of QCC.RESULTS:Several countermeasures were implemented through developing QCC,i.g.enhancing study on webpage making software to confirm webpage structure;understanding the requirements of pharmacy department completely to confirm webpage column;mastering relevant laws and regulations of website construction to confirm website domain;establishing website information editing and management system to confirm accuracy of information.In term of visible achievement,pharmacy department website had been established successfully.Global evaluation score was 62.865,among which webpage design and operation links obtained lower score.In term of invisible achievement,members had significant improvement in self-confidence,problem solving skills and harmonious degrees,etc.CONCLUSION:Application of QCC in the construction of pharmacy department website can improve work efficiency and the quality of pharmaceutical information services.

Comparison of User-Oriented Information Services on the Websites of Large Hospitals in China and the United States: Cross-sectional Study

Abstract:Background Many people use the internet to access health care information to support health care decisions, and hospital websites can be the first point of contact to provide health care information services for consumers. However, little is known about the current information services provided by the websites of large Chinese hospitals. Objective The aim of this study is to evaluate and compare the information services of the websites of large hospitals in China and the United States. We hope that our findings will benefit hospital managers worldwide in providing service information on the web. Methods This study adopted a cross-sectional analytical approach to evaluate the websites of large hospitals in China and the United States in 2020. A total of 300 large hospitals were randomly selected, of which half were in China and half were in the United States. Based on the 7Ps marketing mix, we identified 39 items that represent typical hospital website information services, covering the following seven dimensions: product, price, place, propagation, people, process, and physical evidence. Results Most of the items (34/39, 87%) related to information services offered by hospital websites were less covered in China than in the United States; however, 5 items (appointments by a third-party platform, mobile payment, hospital value, hospital environment display, and physicians’ profiles) had higher coverage in China. The average scores for hospital websites in China and the United States were 13.25 (SD 2.99) points and 23.16 (SD 2.76) points, respectively. Generally, high scores were given to the south areas of China and north areas of the United States. Conclusions Hospital websites in China lagged behind those in the United States with regard to information services offered. We recommend that hospital managers in China place more emphasis on the people, product, and propagation dimensions of the 7Ps marketing mix in the construction of information services on hospital websites. Through the comparison of the websites of large hospitals in China and the United States, our study findings can provide suggestions for forming standard hospital website construction guidelines worldwide.

Abstract:Objective To analyze community medical staff's' opinion on merits and shortcomings of hospital information management and needs for it application.Methods The series of quantitative and qualitative methods including questionnaire survey,focus group discussion and in-depth interview were conducted among 103 community medical staff members of a tertiary hospital's community clinic department in Beijing.The investigating contents were their recognition and attitude of information management,and their views and suggestions of clinic doctor working station now popularly utilized by the hospital.Results Totally,the community medical staff had a welcoming and accepting attitude on the hospital information management;However,the facility and stability of the system itself,accessibility of information,the medical staff's attitude on the information management,their proficiency level in computer operation and usage coast,and the hospital's efforts were all the factors to utilization of clinical doctor working station.Conclusion It should be active to take actions in optimization of software system and hardware equipments,staff training,reinforcement of medical affaires and logistic management.The introduction and development of hospital information management software should be demand-oriented,and involve relevant personnel all long.

Abstract:A questionnaire survey of 1604 residents from three communities in Shanghai was conducted in the study.The results showed that the residents did not utilize the information of hospital websites sufficiently.The lack of skills and time for internet searching were probably the main reasons.The community residents' characteristics(such as age,education and income)and other factors might influence their utilization of hopsital websites.It is suggested that hospital websites should be adapted to the different demands of community residents.

Abstract:Objective:To discuss the management system and information system construction scheme of the hospital in the third party personnel reception link.Method:This paper focuses on the main objectives and practical problems of strengthening the supervision of the third party personnel reception, establishes the third party personnel management mechanism through the expert consultation method, innovatively builds the implementation mechanism of the informatization system, and adopts the questionnaire survey to evaluate the application effect of the informatization system.Result: It sorted out the practical problems such as numerous places, complex personnel, insufficient means and weakened consciousness in the reception process of the hospital, established management systems such as registration and filing, regional inspection, rewards and punishments for violations and daily education, and built a reception platform for the third-party personnel registration and appointment, which achieves a high popularity rate, high use frequency, high operation efficiency and good utilization effect.Conclusion:The establishment of the management system for the professional reception in the hospital and the application of the informatization system have made the hospital improve the management efficiency in receiving the third-party personnel and enhance the effectiveness of the supervision of the profession.Thus, it is practical and operable, and can provide a reference for the further promotion.

Abstract:Background: Internet hospitals (IHs) have rapidly developed as a promising strategy to address supply-demand imbalances in China's medical industry, with their capabilities directly dependent on information platform functionality. Moreover, a novel theory of "Trinity" smart hospital has provided advanced guidelines of IHs construction. Objective: To explore the construction experience, construction models, and development prospects based on operational data from IHs. Methods: Based on existing information systems and internet service functionalities, our hospital has built a "Smart Hospital Internet Information Platform (SHIIP)" for IHs operation, actively to expand online services, digitalize traditional healthcare, and explore healthcare services modes throughout the entire process and lifecycle. This article encompasses the platform architecture design, technological applications, patient service content and processes, healthcare professional support features, administrative management tools, and associated operational data. Results: Our platform has presented a remarkable set of data, including 82,279,669 visits, 420,120 online medical consultations, 124,422 electronic prescriptions, 92,285 medication deliveries, 6,965,566 pre-diagnosis triages, 4,995,824 offline outpatient appointments, 2,025 medical education articles with a total of 15,148,310 views, and so on. These data demonstrate the significant role of IH as an indispensable component of our physical hospital services, with a deep integration between online and offline healthcare systems. Conclusions: Attributing to extreme convenience and improved efficiency, our IH has achieved a wide recognition and use from both the public and healthcare workers, and the upward trends in multiple data metrics suggest a promising outlook for its sustained and positive development in the future. Our pioneering exploration holds tremendous significance and serves as a valuable guiding reference for IHs construction and the progressive development of the internet healthcare sector.
